“As compared to competitors, most WFs stores still keep their per pound rate on bananas at
.49
The Loss Leader is great device that keeps shoppers returning to browse for other potentials.
Unfortunate that the sprouted walnuts, almonds, & pecans in the BULK Aisle have been discontinued.
Those REALLY special flavor profiles motivated extra visits.
Almost all locations have comprehensive recycling for some categories that other stores don't accept.”
“Where do I begin?? Amazingly eye-catching! I really appreciate finding jewels like this in the community.
Food co-op Glut is a MUST VISIT!!!
I went to ACTUALLY buy just sugar, and was overwhelmed (in a good way, like a kid in a candy store) with options!
Prices are absolutely reasonable. I buy organic raw cane in the grocery store all the time, and I know a deal when I come across it!
On my next visit to Glut, I'll remember to bring my basket & containers for my bought supplies.
Next time you're in northeast DC to southwest MD check it out! You won't be disappointed!!”
“Great fresh fruits and vegetables that I enjoy eating weekly from this grocery store. The deli in the store also provide very good lunch options so stop by treat yourself sometime, if you haven’t done so already.”
“The customer service here rocks!! Everyone is so attentive, helpful and knowledgeable - it's like they live and breathe Mom's mission, which doesn't happen often in a grocery store chain. Their product is always stocked, and organized. I never leave without anything I needed. 5 stars for Mom's on NY Ave!”
“The produce section only looks small. Almost always can get everything I need in one grocery run. Also prices are more than competitive with national brands sometimes being lower cost at MOM's”
“I felt very comfortable here. Love this selection.
I love this area. Parking was not a problem.I finally discovered they have different levels. And of course they have everything I could want vegetarian plant based etc.”
“This place is awesome!!! Paula is an absolute encyclopedia of nutritional info on vitamins and supplements!!!! I'll return to this MOMs specifically for Paula's advice!!! ??”
“I'm a MD grad so definitely have been here many times. Favorite spots for food depending on your mood:Upper levelLedo's for pizza & chicken strip baskets. Kosher Korner - anything you order will be good. Catalyst Hot Dogs - fun new twists on the traditional favorite. And they have good fries!Lower levelConcession stands 3-4 behind sections 103/4 have good crab dip nachos (if you like spicy ask to add jalapenos).”
“As a tourist staying at a hotel nearby, I ended up here several times to buy snacks and fruits. Love it so much, it has amazing selections of everything, with reasonable prices, too!”
“Cute little store. Staff has always been nice. I am usually there early in the morning , Yoko has always been very nice and polite. Good selection of teas that are hard to find elsewhere.”
“I love this place. I enjoy the atmosphere a lot. I mostly get books and other spiritual games/toys for my children. I also shop for health foods and products. The staff are super polite and helpful…”
“The staff is helpful and check out is fairly quick. And they have a larger variety of certain items. Than the other stores, though, they don't carry some of the other items I like at the other stores, but it's all good.”
“Obviously expensive but well located and well staffed. I always have great experiences with the people there. The food quality is uncompromising and well curated, however you may not find any large/known brands (which can be a good thing).”
“I don't know about "healthy", but this place has some GREAT freezer meat alternatives!! Stuff we have never seen in a grocery store and at decent prices. It seemed like most of it was Taiwanese imports.”
“WFM has excellent fresh produce, meats, fish, and dairy but at higher prices than other grocery stores. You shop here for variety and quality, not for the price.”
“I've lived in the neighborhood for about a year and only recently decided to pop in. I definitely regret not having gone sooner. Given the store's small size, I was surprised by both the variety of products offered and how reasonable their prices were. Their produce is consistently good, too.”
“I shop here often like Trader Joe's. My neighborhood stores. Besides I could get on the bus D80 Friendship Heights and go to Safeway but sometimes that's to much.. The instant gratification in me sometimes is the reason what makes me go to WHOLE FOODS & TRADER JOE'S but then I can't say that because I like some of their food. NAW HONESTLY I FAVOR A LOT OF ITEMS IN THE 2 STORES!!!?”
“Have been there couple of times.
.
The fruit and vegetables section is good. So is the ready to go food. Have tried the salad bar too.
.
Cheese pizza is worth mentioning.”
“I had a great experience here! The deli folks took the time to cut my cold cuts extra thin, and I got an unbelievably delicious and tender cut of beef brisket from the butcher. It was the hit of the Christmas table!!!”
“They have everything you need if you want to grab something quick in a flash. Quick and helpful service and a palm checkout that my partner uses. She beat me to pay when I tried to use my credit card haha ? Impressed with the technology. -1 star for the price but no complaints.”
“This is a pretty good WF Market. The aisles are pretty narrow, and it can get very crowded with folks filing online/delivery orders. It's nice that there is an Amazon return point and cafeteria eating area on the 2nd floor.”
“My go to for so many vegan staples—from laundry detergent to lip balm. I can’t get all my shopping done here, but appreciate they regularly stock extra firm tofu and some other items I can’t find at other nearby stores. Updated from previous review on 2026-01-11”
“A long time Bethesda tradition. You can pick up regulars like milk and eggs, and then search their amazing selection of small niche food producers, like the spelt almond biscotti.”
“I was visiting this location before it was a WF so when I moved a few blocks away I was glad to be close once again. I moved away briefly during COVID with no easy access to a WF. Upon returning to normal, I am disappointed that WF has given up on vegan options in the deli and hot bar. I actually lost 90lbs walking to my P St. store prior to COVID with lots of options. This store has one or two of the same things, often sweet and sour tofu. Ok, but not creative and boring. Come on guys, step it up and get back to neat options.”
“Excellent service! All the employees were very kind and patient. It is more than a pharmacy I was offered a cold drink as I waited for assistance. You cant go wrong.”

“Came in with a complication from an online order. Jayson took the time to help me with my issue and at the same time made sure other customers were getting great service. Highly recommended this location!”
“I went to this grocery store the other day and found it pretty decent overall. The aisles were fairly organized, and I didn’t have much trouble finding what I needed. The produce section looked fresh, especially the fruits, which I appreciated. Checkout was a bit slow since there were only a couple of registers open, but the cashier was friendly and polite. Prices seemed reasonable compared to other stores around here. I’d probably come back if I’m in the area again, mainly for the convenience and the decent selection of items.”
“It's as good of a whole foods as any of them. For some unexplained reason they don't sell alcohol. I don't get it why, it's not a dry county or anything.”
“It's okay just having a little problem with the shipping by USPS and maybe a little problem also with UPS special when it goes down to Jackson,MS. and have to come back up to Memphis, TN and be delivery back to Sender most of the time that's the main problem and how high everything is even with the discount.”
