“It's as good of a whole foods as any of them. For some unexplained reason they don't sell alcohol. I don't get it why, it's not a dry county or anything.”
“This little unassuming place tucked away off Cedar Lane is mostly focused on vitamins and other supplements - but I recently filled a prescription there $20 cheaper than from a mail-order pharmacy. Friendly staff, lots of parking - what’s not to like?”
“I've been shopping here since the 70s. It's a wonderful experience and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. There is nothing like it in the DMV. I trust the quality 100% and will always refer anyone who is looking for healthy options. Hope it never leaves.”
“Where do I begin?? Amazingly eye-catching! I really appreciate finding jewels like this in the community.
Food co-op Glut is a MUST VISIT!!!
I went to ACTUALLY buy just sugar, and was overwhelmed (in a good way, like a kid in a candy store) with options!
Prices are absolutely reasonable. I buy organic raw cane in the grocery store all the time, and I know a deal when I come across it!
On my next visit to Glut, I'll remember to bring my basket & containers for my bought supplies.
Next time you're in northeast DC to southwest MD check it out! You won't be disappointed!!”
“Amazingly friendly and helpful staff always going above and beyond for customers! I’ve come to this location for quite a while and have never been disappointed with their selection, produce quality, and staff.”
“I love, love, love Brown’s market. They have everything I need from my seamoss to vitamins. Everyone is always so nice and helpful. I’m here at least twice a week.”
“I came today together some product Tee help me but I did get any sample lol just teasing. She was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable . I would recommend 100%. I will be coming back for my refills and other products that I see. SMOOCHES”
“I love shopping at MOM's Organic Markets. Shop here at least once per week. Their produce is great, especially the loose Organic carrots. I also love the daily bread. Very nice to drink coffee while I shop!”
“Parking on the 3rd floor in the back of the bldg. Elevator down to store in the back of the garage, over the store, and you can validate for 90min on a little machine after you're done checking out. There's a Naked Lunch there, which is missing from the one closest to my house. Yum! Groceries are on the pricey side, and there is a bigger variety of stuff that I typically buy.”
“Love this Whole Foods. It's clean, has delicious produce and always has what I'm looking for. I also like that's it's in a shopping center with restaurants and also has a nice out door eating area.”
“I really enjoy shopping here because it is such a great place to find healthy, high-quality groceries and unique natural products. The selection is always fresh, and I appreciate the emphasis on eco-friendly items. It has a nice, local community feel that makes grocery shopping feel less like a chore and more like a pleasant experience.”
“Small cozy market with plenty of available parking at any time. I can always find what I'm looking for. If not, I can find an alternative that's just as good. Plenty of healthy and tasty snacks, chips, nuts, crackers. Lotsa vegan snacks, cookies, and milk.”
“I used to love this place, but the prices are through the roof. Still, some items are cheaper than buying on Amazon. It still provides dairy products that are NOT offered anywhere else, and is a cut above other health food stores. But too many times the items I go there to get are sold out. We rely on it for dairy. Has lots of pasture raised products. Two bags of groceries can easily run $200.”
“As a tourist staying at a hotel nearby, I ended up here several times to buy snacks and fruits. Love it so much, it has amazing selections of everything, with reasonable prices, too!”
“I don't know about "healthy", but this place has some GREAT freezer meat alternatives!! Stuff we have never seen in a grocery store and at decent prices. It seemed like most of it was Taiwanese imports.”
“The staff is helpful and check out is fairly quick. And they have a larger variety of certain items. Than the other stores, though, they don't carry some of the other items I like at the other stores, but it's all good.”
“Cute little store. Staff has always been nice. I am usually there early in the morning , Yoko has always been very nice and polite. Good selection of teas that are hard to find elsewhere.”
“At Morton's on 8th you get the kind of care and support that makes you feel like family. They have gone above and beyond, reaching out to doctors, insurance providers, and ordering what was needed to ensure I had the right meds. So thankful to have them: the absolute best pharmacy in Captiol Hill!!!”
“Good selection of healthy food. Friendly workers. Pretty expensive + def not affordable for full-on regular grocery shopping, but happy to support this nice local spot when possible”
“I've lived in the neighborhood for about a year and only recently decided to pop in. I definitely regret not having gone sooner. Given the store's small size, I was surprised by both the variety of products offered and how reasonable their prices were. Their produce is consistently good, too.”
“This is a pretty good WF Market. The aisles are pretty narrow, and it can get very crowded with folks filing online/delivery orders. It's nice that there is an Amazon return point and cafeteria eating area on the 2nd floor.”
“I would leave 5 stars but ever sicne amazon bought whole foods, they aer sneaking in more and more low quality foods and ingredients like seed oils in the hot bar etc. Just be selective with what you get.”
“Have been there couple of times.
.
The fruit and vegetables section is good. So is the ready to go food. Have tried the salad bar too.
.
Cheese pizza is worth mentioning.”
“I shop here often like Trader Joe's. My neighborhood stores. Besides I could get on the bus D80 Friendship Heights and go to Safeway but sometimes that's to much.. The instant gratification in me sometimes is the reason what makes me go to WHOLE FOODS & TRADER JOE'S but then I can't say that because I like some of their food. NAW HONESTLY I FAVOR A LOT OF ITEMS IN THE 2 STORES!!!?”
“A long time Bethesda tradition. You can pick up regulars like milk and eggs, and then search their amazing selection of small niche food producers, like the spelt almond biscotti.”

“Game here on Friday evening with rain, looking for something that my mom asked! The lady who works here I should say she is awesome! Friendly and knowledgeable. I need more than they have , she helps me get membership and order for shipping! Love her energy and hope everyone treats others like the way we want ! Really appreciate!”

“Came in with a complication from an online order. Jayson took the time to help me with my issue and at the same time made sure other customers were getting great service. Highly recommended this location!”
“I was visiting this location before it was a WF so when I moved a few blocks away I was glad to be close once again. I moved away briefly during COVID with no easy access to a WF. Upon returning to normal, I am disappointed that WF has given up on vegan options in the deli and hot bar. I actually lost 90lbs walking to my P St. store prior to COVID with lots of options. This store has one or two of the same things, often sweet and sour tofu. Ok, but not creative and boring. Come on guys, step it up and get back to neat options.”
“Made a mobile order using app for in-store pickup. It shared the complementary parking lots with Ledo Pizza, Georgetown Bagelry, and a few other shops. The lighting was good and items signs were clear. The staff at the Customer Service was able to locate the bag timely. The grocery items were fresh and correct as expected.”
“Store was clean, with well laid out isles. Offered numerous choices of vegetarian items, religious books, dried fruits, gift items, cards and multimedia materials. It's worth it to stop by.”
