This is by far the worst UPS location I have ever visited. I went to the HAMPDEN UPS for the first time to drop off a few packages, and I very much regret it. The store appeared to be run by youngsters who were rude and dismissive toward me, a senior in my eighties.
I brought properly labeled envelopes, stapled at the ends, and asked the clerk (a young man with red cheeks) if he could help seal them, since I had run out of tape at home. He told me it would cost $1 per envelope just to add a tape. When I picked up their stapler to add a couple more staples myself, he made a scene and refused to accept my packages, handing them back and telling me to ship them elsewhere.
The lack of courtesy and professionalism here was shocking,

If you like good customer service and to be respected as a consumer find another UPS store location. I’ve been to lot and this location is horrible!

I came in to ship a suitcase. They quoted me a price of $110. When it was time to ring up they charged $130. When I asked why they marked up the price by $20, they said that they needed to use shipping materials to send the item. It's super annoying that they miss quote prices like this.

I rarely post bad reviews if any but think this worth attention of UPS and other customers as point of change. No names only facts. Decided to do a drop off here with taping up the box in store and adding some foam dunnage that I brought with me. I purchased the tape in store but was denied packing up a 12x12x10 box instore with zero customers except for me and I was sent out to a 100.5F heat to do it outside the store. Even though there’s a large packing table in store. I’m a business customer and my company ships tenths on thousands of dollars per month with UPS. That does not matter obviously. While waiting in line sweating, back from the street, I saw a book on the counter of the rep handling my shipment. These two things are not connected. But somehow they did connect for me.
Dear UPS, please change the policy and don’t send customers outside to pack up the boxes whenever this is possible. Thank you.

Turns out they notarize but do NOT provide signature witnesses...as many forms require.

Extremely bad attitude from staff named Tilman. Raising voice, not allowing customer to speak, express opinion. According to him it is not his obligation, not to mention courtesy, kindness to inform customers how to pack wrap packages to he returned to Amazon via UPS which is only a third party according to him. Why Amazon is working with these guys?.Not very kind at all, on contrary . Felt totally disrespected. Wish him good luck in his career.

Surprised by all the one-star reviews… never had any issues with this location. Been there dozens of times over the past couple years without issue. Seems like most people did not properly package whatever they were shipping and got upset with having to pay more. Somewhat understandable I suppose, but really just pay attention and make sure your stuff is packaged fully beforehand because UPS does not want the liability for when your package breaks down from lack of sealing!

The store manager recently put a hard limit on how many packages you can ship at once at 15. We had to drive several miles away to another location for our additional packages. Refusing to accept paying customer business was incredulous. Whenever possible we will avoid this location.

This is the WORRRRRRRSSSSSSTTTTTTT location EVER! They actually wanted to charge me $1 for a piece of tape on a FREE RETURN. I took my package and left. There’s a better location inside of Staples on Wisconsin Ave; they will give you a FREE TAPE!😃

Ryan was super helpful and patient with our complicated request! We dropped off boxes of delicates in the morning and he wrapped them super well later in the day, and helped with our additional inquiries via phone calls. He made the task super easy and stressless.

Absolutely scam behavior: this location charged $20 to pack an item I had not realized was marked by Amazon as requiring a box (they now still give a QR code when this is needed, same as when no box required). I should have realized but no excuse for this level of price gouging.
10$ for a simple 15inch box, $5 for "materials" (a strip of tape), and $5 for "packing services" (applying said strip of tape). I asked if I could just buy the box and materials and they said I had to buy the service as "packing is not allowed by customers in store".
Does the UPS store not market itself as a one stop shop for shipping needs? Why then do they provide less services at higher expense than a basic post office? Because they can I suppose...
