Unhelpful, arrogant, dishonest staff. I came to community forklift today and to say I was disappointed and disgusted would be an understatement. Whoever is pricing the used and new donated products has no clue what they are doing. I looked at a few items and they were the same price or almost twice the price of retail. I was looking at a 6068 sliding glass door that was new in the original package and the price there was $800. I checked Lowe’s where the door in your warehouse came from and the price at Lowe’s is $489. I mentioned it to the cashier and she called the floor manager. We went to the door and he checked the Lowe’s store price as well as the price tagged on rhe door and said he’d check on it. He came back saying the man who prices items told him that the $800 price is it and he can’t do anything about it. And the manager walked away saying “it is what it is”! Despite black and white proof which he verified himself he refused to sell the door at the $489 price. Never going there again and people need to know that the staff is arrogant and absolutely not customer friendly. I need to warn people who may want to shop there to check the prices with new products in stores because chances are they are paying more for used items than if they bought it at a reputable store. Shame on community forklift. .

Screw Community Forklift. I have the paperhanging tables and tools that my father and I used from the time I turned 12 until he could no longer work side jobs. I am now 68, so the equipment has some miles on it. It's stained, which is disqualifying for a donation. It has no bearing on the functionality of the equipment. Community Forklift apparently wants pretty tools, not useful ones. I'd steer clear of these charlatans. I want to provide a leg up to an aspiring paperhanger, a trade that supported two families for years. Sadly, my stuff is not pretty. What pretentious bullshit.

I went to Community Forklift Friday May 26th 2023 about 4:30 PM. I haven't visited in years and within those years, I've stacked up a bunch building materials that I wanted to donate. Most folks who donate and especially take the time out contribute to the cause of sustainability do so to contribute in a meaningful way. When I arrived there was a gentlemen who was backing a Uhaul truck into the donation center so I had to wait my turn. He had a lot of kitchen cabinets that were in great condition. Community Forklift refused his donation citing they were too tired to off load the cabinets. I volunteered to help and still a no. OK, so this guy leaves with donation in tow and I couldn't think but what a waste. I back my pickup in with two new shower pans, 3 solid core oak doors, 1 new storm door, 1 granite sink/countertop, 2 pedestal sinks, 1 pedestal sink without the pedestal (all new), new vessel sink, new cultured marble sink, 200 amp breaker panel and a couple other items. The rep started picking through my donation extracting the most valuable items and rejecting the other items solely because of value. I asked the rep since when this kind of behavior is acceptable. He said he's been working there 15 years and when management changed, so did the business model. I don't know what happened to this place as far as contributing to the greater good but if donating and recycling materials is your objective this is not the place for it. They are greedy and looking to profit off of a nonprofit business model. I can't support this establishment in any capacity. I spoke with someone who shopped there recently and the prices have also skyrocketed to near or beyond retail. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS... TOTAL RIP OFF!

We are renovating our basement and needed new kitchen cabinets. A friend recommended community forklift and we were soon lost in a huge warehouse of all things home related. Pros: great selection, fair prices for the most part, interesting and unique items. Cons: all the kitchen cabinets sets that they had were too expensive, too beat up or too large for what we needed. We still left with a $20 ( yes you saw that right!) nearly new mini fridge for the office and a wonderful living room chair. Overall great experience.

Overall, Community Forklift is great if you want cheap paint or are looking for a unique light fixture. DO NOT buy appliances from this store. I paid $550 for a refrigerator that died within 5 months and is now costing me much more time and money than if I had just purchased a new one. I also bought a stackable washer and dryer, and they only work OK. Water pools in the washer, and the dryer takes about twice as long to dry as a new unit. Overall, it's not worth the savings for the amount of inconvenience these appliances have caused. I should have just purchased new ones. It would have been much cheaper in the long run.

Community Forklift is a treasure. They have a huge selection of secondhand home goods (appliances, cabinets, tile, paint, fixtures, etc.). They also have some great furniture - we have found some beautiful pieces there. In addition to the typical things you would expect, they occasionally acquire very random and fun to peruse items. In various trips, I have seen giant stained glass windows (as in, cathedral size), carnival cut outs, and miscellaneous art. Since things turn over quickly, there is always something new to see. We rarely leave empty handed.

I bought over $300 of tiles on Ebay, but wasn't sure which tiles were the right color. The owner said that he would send samples and then the tiles ordered, which were available in various colors. He sent samples, but failed to send the selected tiles, doesn't return calls, just ripped me off. I have tried to follow up for months, then years, the receiptionist takes messages, but the owner never calls. Can't trust them!

We have been purchasing items from Community Forklift for many years, and had been happy with them. However, this week, my opinion has dropped to zero. We purchased a large item that needed a truck to transport. We secured transport and returned three days later to pick it up, only to discover that they had resold our purchase.

Amazing thrift store for the small contractor that wants to turn someone's trash into gold! Wonderful cabinets, tile, and other pieces that with the right work, can create a new remodeled area of the house. Staff is also amazing and excellent customer service. So saddened to see that they have to move, hope they are able to stay close by!

If you are remodeling or decorating a home, this is definitely a place that you want to have on your list. They have an amazing selection of all things, construction and decor. A strong selection of doors, windows, hardware appliances, toilets, sinks, trim, etc. I found the furniture section to be the weakest. I found the tile selection to be the strongest. The space is large and well organized and if you sign up with your Facebook or Instagram, you can get updates on new offerings
