“Lately, I caught myself thinking that I would prefer to go to Harris Teeter Bowie because the people up front at the registers seem to have gotten their act together and I know that I will get rung up fast and they won't keep me waiting at self-checkout for long like Giant across the street does, Giant is abysmal at checkout, Giant wastes a lot of customer time waiting for associates to stop socially talking to each other to help customers waiting-and-waiting, Giant does that incessantly, I wont step foot in Giant's doors, I am loyal Harris Teeter customer. Harris Teeter has great sales (not so great regular prices), club card ecoupons, gas discounts. I don't know what to think of the pharmacy, all I got was a test there a long while back and it was easily discernable that the pharmacist was clearly not happy about it so I just never used their pharmacy after that; he was super busy, by himself, stressed out. Anytime you find yourself thinking that you can go to a certain store and you can count in them getting you out the door in timely manner, and like they care that they are helping you, that's a place to be loyal to, that's the current staff at Harris Teeter Bowie.”

“I was not a fan of Harris Teeter when they first opened, but they have really gotten their act together, I found myself thinking when I was in a hurry and deciding where to shop, ".... but if I go to the Harris Teeter, they run their cashiers and front-end "tight" and get you out faster than Giant...." that's quite a compliment for a customer to think that about check-out of a store, not a fan of the set-up design of Harris Teeter check-out though, but Giant leaves you waiting while their employees talk to each other, when they aren't even busy, Harris Teeter puts Giant to shame. I've seen some issues w/customer service at Harris Teeter, but Giant is worse by far. I find Giant so horrible that I was shopping at Safeway at Fairview before Harris Teeter opened up at Marketplace... I think Harris Teeter regular prices are a little too high, just like Giant and Safeway, BUT, Harris Teeter sales are GREAT. I find that my grocery bill is MUCH lower shopping sale items at Harris Teeter (and Safeway sometimes too) than Target or Walmart that don't have sales on their groceries like Harris Teeter and Safeway.... I don't like the refrigerated egg section of Harris Teeter because I've gotten eggs ruined from being frozen more than once. I like being able to grab old coffee grinds to compost from Harris Teeter Starbucks. I have grown to really like many of the employees at Harris Teeter, very sweet and caring and helpful. Join their club for gas discount points at BP, and clip ecoupons to use when you use your club card at checkout, totally worth it.”
“Went to get a flu shot. Staff was communicative and nice.Also, staff was patient while I had to call the insurance company cause it showed denied.And after the shot I told them how my son thinks grown-ups should get lollipops after a shot and they said I could (I didn't actually want one but that was very accommodating). ?”
“I have shopped at this Safeway for several years, and I find them to be the best grocery store in the area for most of my grocery shopping, except for their prices, they seem quite expensive on a few items. To compensate for that, I participate in their Just For U coupon and rewards program, and when I buy only the items on sale and use the Just For U program, it's very affordable, even better prices on some things than Target or Walmart, ie Persil laundry detergent, I've gotten it on sale at Safeway several times and w/a coupon for $7.99 or even $6.99, it's $11.99 at Walmart. Sometimes the prices of the Just For U program don't get applied to the purchase (you just use your Safeway Club Card for those deals and coupons to be applied to your purchase) and I can have some frustration trying to get them to credit the difference. The customer service can be difficult to find at times at the counter, but I've never seen them standing around or goofing around, they are always engaged in their duties. The employees are usually very pleasant and helpful. I've shopped at all the grocery stores in the area, none of them are as helpful or nice or have such a great coupon and reward program. I do have to go shopping at other stores for things Safeway doesn't have, and their service is never as good as this Safeway, and it makes me appreciate this Safeway even more.”
“I've lived in Bowie 10 years and continue to return to this Giant. The staff is always lovely, helpful and cheerful. I appreciate their prices and selection even with two higher end grocery stores nearby. Also appreciate all they have done to keep things moving throughout the pandemic.”

I changed from CVS after being with them for over 20+ years because they inventory was always lacking and their customer service declined. I'm hopeful Walgreens will continue their commitment to service. If they tell me it will take a particular timeframe to fill a Rx, it is always ready as promised. Just make sure your Rx are completely filled out (including DOB & address) before placing the request. I'm”

“The gentleman whom assisted me when I was there was GREAT! He had locs with blonde in them and was of slim build and tall. He informed me my prescription had been restocked (lack of picking it up) and assisted me with reordering my refill and advised me it would be 15 minutes. I then went to shop and came back in 15 exactly, he assisted me again and even remembered me! Pleasant experience he even greeted and said bye to my children.”

“I've been looking for a good pharmacy since I moved to this area almost 2 years ago. This CVS in Target is convenient (I often pick up grocery or household items while I'm there) and the staff are pleasant and helpful. I've had confusion from a provider in sending prescriptions to the right location and they've been helpful in straightening things out. A disadvantage is the lack of drive-through service.”
“I had the nicest checkout cashier who patiently checked for coupon on my card which I didn’t have. Accessing it by phone number wasn’t easy as more than one card is linked to that number.”

“It was amazing! As I was looking for vitamins in the vitamin aisle, a CVS staff working asked me if I needed help? I was blown away. I have never had a CVS worker ask me if I needed help. When I found the vitamin, there were two choices so I went to the pharmacy. A pharmacy staff worker didn't know the answer and took the initiative to ask the pharmacist. The pharmacist greeted me and explained the difference in a very kind way. On top of that, the vitamins were buy one, get one free! Also, there was staff diversity and that was nice. Management is doing an excellent job at that store.”
