“2026 Update: My Emotional Support Animal Niko got sick. He was in severe pain I couldn’t pick him up. They were fully booked with only Dr. Mustillo as the doctor. I was so distraught they were kind enough to take him in for the day and work on him between other kitties. They locate the cause and treated. I thought I was going to lose him the illness just came on so quickly. Pay attention to your cat’s litter box. If you notice them not go to the litter box or stop eating and drinking please get them seen ASAP. I can’t say enough about Vicki, one of the techs. She is always available to answer my questions and I have a lot. Thank you to the entire staff for saving my boy.

I just love this clinic. They only see cats and, as a cat dad obsessed with cats, I appreciate the specialization. Niko needed major dental surgery due to FORLs. I was so scared as he is my support animal for medical conditions I have; we are bonded at the hip. Dr. Kraut has been our vet for 10 years and she did his surgery. She reassured me throughout the day and even at 1 AM answered an email I had regarding post-op behavior I was worried about! The surgery was reasonably priced and they pulled out all the stops to help me. I’m truly saddened that Dr. Kraut will no longer be working at the practice as she moves closer to home. I do hope I can form a similar bond with a new doctor who will pick up where Dr. Kraut left off. The Vet Techs and front desk teams are amazing as well and answer all my questions as I help Niko heal.

Thank you to you all! Niko and I are so grateful to you! Thank you for your years of service, Dr. Kraut. Know you will be missed but we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors!

“I frantically contacted Kentlands Veterinary Hospital when I needed urgent help with my dog. It was near closing and my own vet practice wouldn't stay late to see my dog. I called an emergency vet and they said there was an 8 hour wait. I called Kentlands vet and said I wasn't a client, but I desperately needed help. The doctor offered to stay late to see my dog even though I wasn't a client. She is clearly passionate about animals, placing their needs above her own. She was quickly able to diagnose the problem and literally saved me hours of waiting and hundreds of dollars at the emergency vet. I was so grateful for the excellent care and even more for the extreme kindness in our time of need. Can't say enough wonderful things about this place!”

“My dog recently injured her leg and everyone at Lake Forest Animal Hospital was so friendly, helping me to get her taken care of so she can walk again. She's a senior dog with Cushing's and they have been wonderful in helping us keep her regulated. Lake Forest was not the first vet we tried when we moved here, but they will be the last because there is no need to look elsewhere.”

“Forever Grateful. About 5 yr ago we rescued 3 week old kittens who had been brutalized by some kids. They were literally days from death. On our way back from where we collected them, I tried to find a vet who was willing to see them for very urgent care. My experience with the ER vet clinics in the DMV took them off the list as an option. I had never been to Liberty Falls and yet (after a lot of rejections by other vets) they told me to bring them in as soon as we could. The smallest and most damaged was too weak for the needed surgery but the vets scheduled the enucleation needed. These vets are so compassionate and it’s ALL about the animals. Still deeply grateful to them for saving all three. who are all loved and happy.”

“They may not be the cheapest place around, but the limited staff is the same staff that always sees your pup. So for someone like me that is at the vet at least 10 times a year they are great with her. They know her name, personality and now that they are letting owners back into the office with the pets I can truly see how much she loves them when she arrives.”

“Absolutely wonderful! Everyone is kind, and patient. We were treated like old friends from the moment we walked in. First vet I've found that has knowledge of the sphynx breed. They even have one as an office cat! To top it off, they're prices are very reasonable.”

“We adopted a kitten from the affiliated rescue organization at this vet. The adoption coordinator was amazing! She allowed us to spend time with all of the adoptable cats and kittens. We were there for several hours until deciding on the most compatible kitten for our family. We signed the paperwork and came back the following day to pick her up. This gave us time to prepare and buy the correct food and litter. The adoption fee included the required shots. We opted to have a chip for safety and the vet did that before we picked her up. Very easy process and we adore our new kitty Tofu!”

“I love this place!! My usual vet recently closed, and it’s hard to find a new vet you can trust. I found Village Vet of Urbana, got an appointment for the next day (on a Saturday woo) and everyone there was amazing!! The whole visit took just over 15 minutes, they were kind, gentle and thorough. Very reasonably priced!! My cat loved them, which is honestly a blessing. I will be coming back!!”

“Woodley Gardens is an amazing clinic. I started service with them about a month ago based on a referral from a colleague. I like everything about them and their approach to vet care. Will is part of the reception staff and is always a pleasure to talk to. Nurse Brianna and Doctor Storm were personable, caring, and extremely knowledgeable about my dog's skin and allergy issues. Dr. Storm was thorough in his explanations about possible causes and gave me a comprehensive plan to follow. He didn't rush any aspect of the visit and addressed all of my concerns. In just a couple of weeks I've seen significant improvement in my dog's condition. Based on my interactions with the staff and Dr. Storm, it is clear that they genuinely care about the well being of their clients. I found pricing to be reasonable and there was no push to sell extra services or medicines--the focus is simply on quality care. I am grateful to have found a vet home for my dog and highly recommend them.”

“I wanted to share this.
We recently had to put our dog Waffles to sleep, he was 16 years old and incurring heart failure.
Not that there’s ever “better timing” to lose your pet, but we had family vacation planned since six months prior and we were to leave the following day. While on vacation, I read on a grief forum about a man whom had to also put his fur baby to sleep due to heart failure as well, and that he got an ink blot of the paw print the day they said goodbye. I had never heard of this, and it made me more upset as I shared this with my husband that I really wish I had known this was something people do so we could have done the same. Well, upon arrival back home from vacation there was a letter that came in the mail from Damascus Vet Hospital. My husband took it inside to read, and as I was still unloading bags, he abruptly came and handed it to me to read. He didn’t want me to wait- I opened the letter, and a beautiful card.. on the front “with sympathy for your loss” with a photo of a heart and silhouette of a dog and cat… on the inside- I dropped my bags and immediately broke into tears. Feeling emotions of solemness, but utmost gratitude and happiness because, above a cursive writing of our fur baby’s name, “Waffles” was his ink blot paw print. I am forever grateful to have this, as it wasn’t something we could have thought of in the time of chaos and confusion of decision making to put our pet out of his suffering… Waffles paw print is kept in a special place. A gesture so small and perhaps insignificant to many, moved me so deeply and I couldn’t be more thankful.

“I had an excellent experience at Holistic Veterinary Healing. The staff was very warm, welcoming and informative. Dr. Deb was fantastic. She spent a long time getting to know me and my dog. She answered all my questions and provided me with a plan to care for my dog that fits my budget. I highly recommend this practice. This was my 1st visit and I have already scheduled the appointment for my dog's annual checkup in January.”

“We've been taking our 2 cats and 1 dog to Germantown for 5 years. They're amazing and easily the best veterinary clinic we've ever been to. We've recommended them to numerous friends, and will continue to do so every chance we get. Their vets and staff are knowledgeable and empathetic, they routinely make time for us whenever we've had an emergency, and their rates are absolutely reasonable.

Today we went through the process of putting our 17 year old dachshund to sleep. While in no way was that an experience I want to ever repeat, I cannot describe how wonderful everyone at Germantown was. I could go on and on about them, but the bottom line is that they care and are amazing at what they do, and my wife and I are just so glad they were there for us today just like they have been every day for the past half-decade.

If you're looking for a place to get care for your cat or dog, take them here. You won't regret it, and neither will your pet.”

“Neighborhood Veterinary Associates (NVA) has cared for my 6-year-old Boston Terrier since he was a puppy, and I can’t say enough good things about them. When he showed signs of an ear infection, I booked a next-day sick visit online with no hassle. They diagnosed it quickly and got him treated right away—he felt better fast. The team is kind, thorough, and never pushy. It’s obvious they genuinely know and care about their patients.”

“I can’t describe how amazing this vet practice is. They have been my vet for over 10 yrs. The vets have changed since I started with this practice but the staff at LSAH has always been the best. The office manager, the front desk staff, and the techs. All amazing. So much so, that I stayed because of them. And the recent addition of Dr Walston has made me a forever customer. One of my dogs was very reactive and it would have been easy to label him difficult and annoying. But Dr. Walston approached him with such calmness and understanding, and the staff treated us with such kindness to make sure he got the care he needed with as little stress as possible. I trust them wholeheartedly with my pets.”

“Excellent service and phenomenal care. My dog had a routine dental and discovered that he would need several extractions so he was referred here to Dr. Taney. This place is top notch with excellent care, everyone is so kind and knowledgeable, and state of the art equipment is used. They called me every step of the way so I knew exactly what was happening with my dog and I knew he was in good hands. His procedure went smoothly and he needed less teeth extracted than originally thought, but he did need a filling on one of his canines! We were discharged by Dr. Garber who is also very kind - the discharge instructions are also very thorough and they called to check on him the next day. Overall great experience and highly recommend!”

“So glad I found Fox Chapel Animal Hospital! Dr. Cris and his team provided great care for my elderly cat and when it was time, gracefully and with so much care, assisted with her passing. Their patience and TLC is why they will be my vets for life. My friend who was with me also observed the level of care and attention and switched to Fox Chapel Animal Hospital too! Highly recommend.”

“Visiting Dr. Nave Dhillon and his assistant Renee's practice is a slice out of James Herriot's "All Creatures Great and Small." They provide the same humane, practical, reasonable care that keeps fostering and fur-baby family-members affordable. Our 13-year cat Opie had a chipmunk cheek one day last month, which turned out to be an abscess caused by a rotten tooth. Our local vet charged us $600 for bloodwork, antibiotic, and a rabies shot, then offered to sort out the teeth for $1,200-2,000. I checked with Turkey Foot; Renee was able to work Opie in within the week for a quarter of the cost, and our little guy has been back to normal ever since. Dr. Dhillon treats animals that others won't touch, such as a feral cat I trapped, who was so wild that he needed to be anesthetized in a cage before he could be neutered. They really listen to my concerns and provide thorough answers and after-care check-ins. I particularly appreciate that Renee texted a picture of Opie recovering after surgery.”

“This clinic is exceptional for their service, care, and expertise. I have brought my cat at this facility for about 5 years and I have always been very impressed with their care and expertise about the matters of my cat(s). When one of my cats passed they personally wrote me a letter saying their condolences with hand written signatures. They are reliable and professional. The veterinarian is very informative and comes from personal experience when she provides me with guidance on matters concerning my cat. I have no complaints! Thank you Gaithersburg Veterinary Clinic for providing great service to your customers everyday!”

“Dr. Megan Giebel is absolutely wonderful. Our pet has been with her since she was 8 weeks old and now she's 12 and has been brought through much over the years. Dr. Megan spotted a cancer that was successfully treated because of her early diagnosis.”
