“I came to Planthouse Alexandria on Friday 10/11 for their Jellyfish Terrarium workshop! Had a blast with my girls and the Sangria was delicious! During the workshop introduction, it was shared that we could bring our plants in to get them repotted! I showed back Sunday morning with a cart full of all my house plants that needed to be repotted! Ally was a joy to work with the entire time! She told me what size pots I needed and even let me help with the process (new Plant mom, here). I just finished reloading all the plants back into my car and had to write this review before I pulled off. Planthouse is now officially one of my “joy destinations”! The place is beautiful, the plant and pot selections are abundant and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming! 5 Stars, highly recommend! I’ll have to add pics of my new repotted plants once I get home.”
“The level of customer service here is excellent. I have a retrofitted grooming van with all kinds of custom hoses and fittings. One of them broke and I had a major leak. I explained my problem to Mike and he was able to retrofit a toilet supply line, a hose barb, and clamps to create what I needed. He cut and fitted everything on the spot. I will be coming here for all my hardware needs in the future.”
“Gardenology built a beautiful raised bed on our small back patio, making maximum use of the available space. We'll be growing fresh herbs and veggies for years to come. And it's gorgeous!”

“This is a small neighborhood hardware store but they keep an impressive array of hardware, tools, paint, garden, and "lifestyle" items for most DIY projects. Where the big box stores are geared to accommodate contractors, Annie's aims for the individual and their residence. Staff is always friendly, the store is well staffed for their size so there's always someone available for questions or assistance. I really appreciate a hardware store that can still operate in the neighborhood without leveling 15 acres. Factoring in my time and general frustration with large box stores, the prices for a quick trip down the street are competitive with other options.”
“This is such an amazing nursery -- really the best in the DC area! The plant selection is so much wider and more interesting than what you'd find at a Lowes or Home Depot, or even some other more specialized nurseries nearby. All of the stock is really lovely and reasonably priced.
Also, the staff are really helpful and courteous -- they even stayed late on our most recent trip to walk my wife and I through some options for our yard and planting location. We'll definitely keep coming back!”
“Received an unexpected arrangement. It was stunning. Each pedal on every flower was pristine, as were the leaves and greens. They're holding up very well. Since everything was so perfect, I wondered if the arrangement had been gathered from flowers and greenery inside the van then assembled just before reaching the subdivision. Never seen such freshness and beauty.”

“Arrived just before 5 on a Friday afternoon. I had called before I came and been told they closed at 6pm not 5.The people to help had left a bit early ( it had rained ). The gentleman who was there ( not one of the manual laborers) was exceptionally helpful. He could have just said ‘They are gone’ or ‘Not my job’. Instead he left what he was doing and loaded 10 bags of mulch into my car, and was exceptionally polite and kind.Thank you soo much Sir. You made my day - actually my whole weekend!! My parents needed to fully renovate their entire house, including the kitchen. I received attentive care and meticulous design support from Yohannes. He patiently listened to my goals and worked smartly with my budgetary constraints. In the end, we were able to transform an old tired-looking kitchen into a masterpiece of pride and joy for my parents. See pictures of completed kitchen.

He helped us load half a pallet of paving stones onto a pallet and then load them into our truck. When he asked others (including management) to help - they said no. “Let me tell you about the fantastic experience I had with Home Depot Kitchen Designer Ingrid. The sheer number of choices and decisions to be made when remodeling a kitchen can seem daunting, and it helps to have a knowledgeable designer to work with. I tried two other well known stores and didn't get the sense that the designers actually wanted to help design a kitchen. It was more of a rush to churn out a quick design with no nuance or tailoring to my needs. With Ingrid, she was friendly, patient, offered thoughtful ideas, and she clearly understands that details matter. During my three appointments with her to work on the design, I noticed how other staff interacted with her. She is clearly liked and respected. By the end, I felt good about the kitchen we designed together. I don't know if all Home Depot kitchen designers are like Ingrid, I just know she was an absolute gem!”
