“ALYSSA AND IVY - These are two rockstars that I will never forget. When it comes down to making sure the customer has an experience that is worthwhile, these ladies will make it happen. I had a friend who I haven’t seen in years come from North Carolina to come check out the area. Unfortunately we missed our window for the DIY workshop, but that did not stop the show! They encouraged us to still look around and find a plant and assured us that, we can indeed, purchase today if we’d like. Which we did. I was so moved how the young ladies help me conceal my gift so that the element of surprise remained. They truly did not have to go above and beyond the way they did and it really means a lot to me. They have made their way into my memories haha. In a GREAT WAY!! I would have to say, you all are doing a terrific job and I’m sure the community feels the same. Thank you again ladies!

“The level of customer service here is excellent. I have a retrofitted grooming van with all kinds of custom hoses and fittings. One of them broke and I had a major leak. I explained my problem to Mike and he was able to retrofit a toilet supply line, a hose barb, and clamps to create what I needed. He cut and fitted everything on the spot. I will be coming here for all my hardware needs in the future.”

“This is a small neighborhood hardware store but they keep an impressive array of hardware, tools, paint, garden, and "lifestyle" items for most DIY projects. Where the big box stores are geared to accommodate contractors, Annie's aims for the individual and their residence. Staff is always friendly, the store is well staffed for their size so there's always someone available for questions or assistance. I really appreciate a hardware store that can still operate in the neighborhood without leveling 15 acres. Factoring in my time and general frustration with large box stores, the prices for a quick trip down the street are competitive with other options.”
“This is such an amazing nursery -- really the best in the DC area! The plant selection is so much wider and more interesting than what you'd find at a Lowes or Home Depot, or even some other more specialized nurseries nearby. All of the stock is really lovely and reasonably priced.
Also, the staff are really helpful and courteous -- they even stayed late on our most recent trip to walk my wife and I through some options for our yard and planting location. We'll definitely keep coming back!”

He patiently listened to my goals and worked smartly with my budgetary constraints. “Arrived just before 5 on a Friday afternoon. I had called before I came and been told they closed at 6pm not 5.The people to help had left a bit early ( it had rained ). The gentleman who was there ( not one of the manual laborers) was exceptionally helpful. He could have just said ‘They are gone’ or ‘Not my job’. Instead he left what he was doing and loaded 10 bags of mulch into my car, and was exceptionally polite and kind.Thank you soo much Sir. You made my day - actually my whole weekend!! “I am grateful for this little garden center. They have a nice selection of vegetables, herbs and perennials, plus annual flowers, and supplies every year, well into the season, too, which is great when you need to fill in a few garden areas later in the summer. I have shopped here for now 3 years of gardening seasons and I have always been treated with warm customer service and quality plants. Will continue to do my garden shopping here.”

The vibe in the store is that the staff genuinely like each other and being at work/helping people. I felt safe asking stupid questions and gained a lot of knowledge. Like, seriously blown away by the staff. The store was also super clean and organized. Just an easy and nice experience!”
