This is a parking lot with access to undeveloped parklands and the C&O canal trail. There are no ther facilities, no restrooms, water or tables and benches. It is pefect for what is, trail access but there isn't much to attract more urbane interests.

From Dickerson Conservation Park parking lot going north, the C&O Canal Towpath gets into a section where you are so close to the river, the view is quite pleasing

The largest tree in Maryland (sycamore) is located here not far from the parking lot, a few hundred yards down the river.

Maryland's oldest tree deserves some love. No signage leading you to it or at the site, it didn't look like it is being cared for by an arborist. The bike path was great, just like the rest of the C&O Canal paths.

We love the canal and this portion is great. Just have to watch for horses and what they leave behind. Not many views of the Potomac but the canal has water in this area.

In the past this was a good place to fish.though it was catch and return it was fun. Im very disappointed that the canal is drained and fishing is not possible

TheC&O Canal towpath has been leveled an resurface here. Not sure how far, but it was a nice hike to the largest Sycamore in Maryland.
