Car Rental near Edgewood, MD

“I put 5 stars only because I’ve used Enterprise for years and usually have great service — one incident won’t change that — but this is what happened recently.

I reserved a full‑size SUV in Edgewood, MD on 2/12/26 but was given a RAV4 instead. While driving to Ohio, I got a flat on the PA Turnpike and ended up on a donut. I went to the nearest Enterprise (about 3 miles away) to swap the car, but they had no vehicles and sent me to a tire shop. The tire was irreparable and no replacement was available.

I then drove to another Enterprise (another ~3 miles). They also said no cars and told me to try another tire shop. With closing time approaching and over 100 miles left to drive on a donut, I insisted on a swap. Only then did they give me a Jeep Compass — another downgrade from my original reservation.

They also couldn’t process it as a simple exchange and instead closed my first contract and opened a new one, causing duplicate charges for 2/17/26.

I’ve always trusted Enterprise, but this experience was stressful and unsafe. I hope it’s addressed so it doesn’t happen to other customers.”

“I’ve come here 5 times now and EVERYTIME has been smooth, fast, and professional. I’ve been renting cars in several states and countries, this place is the best. Only drawback is there hours. They close at 5pm so if you want to drop off at 8pm, it won’t be processed until 8am when the team gets in.”

“This is the ONLY Avis/Budget I’ll ever rent from ! Although it took several days for me to finally get into a vehicle , it wasn’t the employees’ fault . Between technical errors with Avis/Budget systems & miscommunication of accepted forms of payment , Phoebe stuck in there with me the entire time & went beyond the extra mile to make sure things worked out in my favor in the end . If the awesome family atmosphere doesn’t lock you in , the astonishing customer service definitely will . Everyone has a unique experience with everything we tackle in life , but it’s ultimately our personal perspective of things . Instead of focusing on the 15 bad things that happened during my experience (because of Avis & Budget , not the staff) , I’d rather focus on the 5 great things (because of the staff) . Negative feedback isn’t always necessary & some of these comments are absolutely absurd ! I can’t believe I went to the same place as some of these people which makes me think it was more their fault than they’re owning up to . The staff here is wonderful , they provide excellent service & help any way they can . Anyone reading this , please don’t allow someone else’s “bad day” to determine your choice of this location . A “nice , well mannered” individual isn’t going to have the same experience as a “disrespectful or ignorant” individual may have . Im just saying ?‍♀️ lol . Keep up the good work team ! “We rented a vehicle on a holiday and arrived 15 minutes later than the location’s operating time for the holiday. However, Michelle was more than understanding and waited up for us to arrive. Although we hate being those people, Michelle still provided amazing service while Budget provided an amazing vehicle for our vacation. Absolutely no complaints with our experience!”
