The folks who work at the CVS in Elkton? Md simply do not care. I went to pick up my prescriptions and walked up to the counter at 1:31pm. There was only 1 person ahead of me and NO other persons in the store. The white guy at the counter told me that he couldn’t wait on me because it was there LUNCH time. NO ONE else was in the store. He then proceeded to lower the security gate while I heard him and others laughing in the background. I think they forgot why they are working in a PHARMACY to begin with. I will be changing pharmacies. Not like they care but I do.

This was by far the most inefficient, exhausting pharmacy visit I have ever experienced. I came back two days in a row, both of which consisted of waiting around for 2+ hours for a prescription I have been picking up for going on a year. I have never had a problem up until this point. I was told multiple times they didn't have my paperwork, even after having my prescriber send it over multiple times. I finally got the pharmacist's attention and had to explain the entire situation over again, and after having waited for 45 minutes, was told I was going to have to wait another half hour to receive my prescription. I spent more time trying to get this singular prescription filled than I have getting every other prescription filled cumulatively throughout my life. I would have understood if it was busy, but there were around five other customers total over my two trips there. I know they have other responsibilities, but I tried to provide a very gracious amount of patience, and as a former customer service representative, I know the client in front of you is the top priority over other administrative or clinical tasks. It should never take over an hour to be provided a routine prescription.

I scheduled a vaccine appointment. They cancelled it via text without saying why, so then I called the pharmacy, and they told me to ignore that and to come in. I drove in, waited a half an hour for them to speak to me, and was then told that my insurance “wasn’t registered” with them despite their pharmacy being clearly listed as one covered by my insurance. They said I could get the flu and covid vaccines but only if I paid $200 out of pocket. Have never experienced this from a CVS ever before.

They must have new management. Things are much better. Friendly helpful staff. They are doing their best. I think their hands are tied by corporate as to how much they can change at the store level. Give em another chance. Good people.

Drove from North East to Elkton for them to refuse service because they're going on break. Its 1:28pm. To not finish servicing your customers is complete crap. No wonder you only have 1.8 star rating. You'll be the next company going out of business like Rite Aid.
Edit after they replied. No I'm not gonna contact you and get the run around. I'm switching to a mail provider for my prescriptions. I refuse to return to that store.

I’ve been coming here for 3 years now and I’ve never had an issue with the staff, the app, the wait, none of it. I saw a past review about them “being closed at random times” ……y’all know they eat lunch, right? Humans need food and your complaining isn’t going to change that. To be honest this is the one CVS I’ve never had an issue with! Love them!

The store is VERY outdated, and no updates done to the business.
Employees are always so overwhelmed with little help. Only 1-2 person running the entire store.
I hope they get the help they need.

The worst pharmacy experience! I am amazed they are still open. The random daytime closings makes the experience even more special!
Everything you read in the attached reviews is true. I don't blame the employee's. I think if they added just one more associate at the front register, FULL TIME(not back and forth to the pharmacy) that could improve things alot. Many people stop to buy items other than scripts. Many more people would stop if they new the front register was staffed. It's RIDICULOUS to have to wait in script line to check out non-script items. Can you think of any other pharmacy that does this? No. It's a sinking ship... I'm not sure management or area reps really give a _hit. Prior to CVS, City Pharmacy occupied that building for 30+years. AWESOME service, never a minutes trouble and the front register was ALWAYS staffed..... easy in and out. It's really is sad.
