High's: A Convenience Store Legacy Reimagined Established in 1928, High's has a rich history as an ice cream store chain that once spanned over 500 locations across the Mid-Atlantic States, making it the largest of its kind in the world. In 2012, Carroll Independent Fuel Company acquired High's and began to transform it into a modern convenience store chain with a focus on customer delight. Today, High's operates 60 stores with a team of 500 talented individuals. The company's passion for running well-operated stores serves as the foundation for its commitment to providing customers with the products they desire in a clean, friendly, and inviting atmosphere. High's customers often praise the excellent customer service they receive from the store associates. Rekik and D, two overnight cashiers, went the extra mile to assist a customer who was frustrated by a gas shortage, even offering to buy the customer coffee with their own money. Similarly, Karen Epps, a store associate, is renowned for her warm greetings, friendly demeanor, and dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction. While the majority of reviews highlight the positive experiences, a few customers have expressed concerns about the quality of the food and the behavior of some employees. However, these seem to be isolated incidents, and the overall feedback suggests that High's is a convenience store chain that strives to deliver a welcoming and satisfying experience to its customers.
Easy access for gasoline. Generally a little cheaper than other gas stations. Staff is always friendly and helpful for their other services.

Only buy gas. High's costs for store goods way over priced for decades. And for a couple of years now they make everyone show id to buy cigarettes and I'm 68.

I stopped at High's in Ellicott City to get gas. I needed help with the pump. The attendant, Angel was pleasant and professional.
