“I went to Giant on a mission for stringless sugar snow snap peas. Thus far this is the only store that carries the stringless variety of peas that are excellent for snacking. After failing to find stringless peas at Aldi and Harris Teeter, I went out of my way to this Giant as there are no Giants in my general area. Parking was a breeze on a Sunday evening, but it was packed inside the store. Luckily the produce section is just to the left of the entrance and I was quickly able to procure 3 bags of peas. It was the self-checkout line that was the pain. There are perhaps 10 scanners/registers in self-checkout, all in use, and a long line for self-checkout. The good news is this line moved quickly within 5 minutes I was ringing myself up, paying for my peas, and George Jefferson strolling out the door. The rest of the store looked nice and reasonably clean given the sheer amount of people in there. It's doubtful I ever do real grocery shopping here unless I move to Hampden, but I'll continue popping by as long as they continue carrying those STRINGLESS sugar snap peas!”
