As I dealt with healthcare challenges and struggled at times with slow or late payments, Des and Ms. D remained professional, patient, understanding, and helpful. They guided me through CubeSmart’s processes and helped me navigate my options until I was finally able to reach my goal: vacating storage unit 1141 and closing out my account.

“I went a total of 25 miles, and the truck required 27.13 to refill. The gas was $2.79/gallon, its impossible to use that much gas for 25 miles. I spoke with the young lady when I returned the truck, but she said that there was nothing that she could do. I had the smallest truck at $19.95/day, didn't tow a car, and moved a 1 bedroom apartment in one trip. Something is not right. CHECK THE GAS, I DON'T THINK THE GAS GAUGE WAS CORRECT, IT SAID FULL TANK WHEN I GOT IT, BUT I DON'T THINK IT WAS FULL.”

Every staff member I encountered was extremely helpful and professional. I interacted with four gentlemen at different points during my visit, and each one contributed to making the experience smooth and pleasant.
The supervisor—whose name I unfortunately forgot—was truly exceptional. He had a Louisiana accent and carried himself with a level of professionalism and care that stood out. He is, without a doubt, a top-tier supervisor.
Mr. Michael, my service representative, was equally impressive. He was gentle, kind, and highly professional throughout our interaction, ensuring everything was handled with care.
I also want to acknowledge the two other gentlemen who assisted me—one who finalized my service and another who handled my equipment. Their support did not go unnoticed, and I sincerely appreciate their help as well.

“My experience with this particular U-Haul location, is that I was treated like they value my patronage, they value me as a customer.
I rented a small size box truck to move my personal property to a new place, it was explained to me by the nice and friendly clerk the policy when I return the truck back during after hours but I forgot to use the app system to return the truck doing after hours. Because I forgot the system penalized me $23 dollars, when I explained the situation to Henry who is the manager the following morning, he credited me back the $23. To me that is CUSTOMER SERVICE.”

I have rented from MANY uhauls, and this was far and away the best. The lot staff are professional, energetic, and polite. They are all well dressed and carry a strong brand presence. This location could be a demonstration for business school case studies around a successful business. I was able to witness some of the staff train a newer member (Cardo). I witnessed them taking time to review procedures, and ensure he could accomplish the tasks well. I was initially shocked, as this location follows procedures in a way I’ve never seen of a U-haul facility. They are quick, efficient, and clean. 5 stars to the staff and management of this location.”

“I cannot say enough about the pleasant and helpful experience I had with Penske Capitol Heights. I had a personal move from Raleigh to Lanham and while moving itself is stressful and rarely goes according to plan, the staff at Penske eased some of that for me. From answering the phones with care and professionalism to offering suggestions to help make the move seamless to being flexible as our move plans changed I am very happy to have been a first time costumer. The truck was clean and reliable, the pricing was reasonable and the service was outstanding. At a time where I am very decisive in where I choose to spend my money I am happy to support a business that actually values costumer satisfaction and service first. “The first time I came to this location a gentleman was very helpful with us picking up an 8x4 to attach to my truck. He answered all worries and concerns, even reassured and taught us quickly how to back up with the uhaul. that was around 1 September 2024.
Here again 15 January 2026, helping out my father move, got a 10ft truck and an auto transport from U-Haul Andrews Air Force base where the guy placed straps on the auto transport incorrectly, by the time we got home they we completely off . We came to this location and Tony was so knowledgeable and again reassured and replaced the terrible straps and job that was done. Definitely gave us warm and fuzzies, I feel safer and more comfortable traveling across country.

“I purchased a car from an auction site but was informed that even though the car would run/start with a jump that it must be towed off of the property. I attempted to get a tow truck company to pick it up but they tried to charge me over $1000. So I rented a pickup truck and a car carrier from Uhaul.and it was more cost effective than getting it towed.”
