“I am moving to a new place and didn’t have tape yet. I brought my open box for shipping returns. They taped it for free! Didn’t say boo about it. Friendly service.
This is compared to when I went to FedEx out west last year and USPS back in another state on a short trip they each had me buy a roll both times. I was expecting the same here but was pleasantly surprised. I think I’ll stick with UPS if they continue to differentiate themselves positively.”

“Tabatha is a star employee at this store. I watched her multitask, greet customers while being extremely pleasant, help customers, and still manage the staff. She was a one woman machine who basically worked the entire store by herself, even though there was another employee nearby. She alone has earned all five of these stars.
However on 11/7 at about 10:15, I was “helped” by someone who clearly did not want to help me. He wouldn’t even stand up to scam my QR code to ship my items back to Amazon. I had a heavy object strapped to my back, it would have been nice if he would have been thoughtful enough to just stand up to scan my code instead of prompting me to reach. I even asked him if he could just stand to scan the code and he just continued sitting. I’m sure you have this on camera and can see for yourself. This is the service I usually get. ?”

“I use this location pretty often. Leonard helped with last minute shipments I needed to get out on a Friday for arrival on Saturday back in September. Most of the shipments made it, 2 were delayed (no fault of the store). The store team helped me sort out a partial refund.”

“I want to give a big shout out to Maxwell, the store manager on duty, and the entire team at the Eastern Market FedEx Kinko’s for their outstanding operations and top-tier customer service.
I had an urgent overnight express delivery that was critical: one of my grant recipients was at risk of losing a sale on a property due to previous failed delivery attempts via certified mail and even FedEx at two other locations. I was starting to worry about how this reflected on me professionally, and it felt like the situation was spiraling out of control and worse yet, the sale would fall through due to the mail and courier services..
Thankfully, Diamond at the Federal Center SW FedEx location referred me to this Eastern Market location, letting me know it had a late pickup, was Metro-accessible, and open late. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. I used to live in this neighborhood and don’t remember operations running this smoothly at this location. The store was busy but clean and organized, and the staff were all actively helping customers with patience and professionalism. Maxwell immediately listened to my situation, reassured me, and sprang into action. He asked a colleague to hold the night’s express shipment just a bit longer to include my package. He made sure it would go out that night and guaranteed next-day delivery by 5 PM. Maxwell even helped me photograph the tracking number, receipt, and documentation so I had everything on hand before I rushed back to the Metro to make it to my son’s aftercare pickup in Virginia.
By the time I got home and checked tracking, my package was already showing movement with an ETA of 9:30 AM–1:30 PM, well ahead of the deadline and truly exceeding expectations. Most of the time, I’m lucky if tracking even updates by the next day, but this was seamless. Thanks to Maxwell’s quick thinking and leadership, I was able to repair a professional relationship and uphold my commitment to my grant recipient. This is what true customer service looks like, and why I will be returning to this location again and again, and recommending it to colleagues.”

“I want to give a huge shout out to Diamond at FedEx Kinko’s at Federal Center SW in DC for going above and beyond to make sure my next-day express package actually arrived next day.
I was in a serious bind: my agency’s mailroom had already tried and failed to send this notarized package multiple times, and I had personally sent it twice from another FedEx location, only to have it returned both times as undeliverable (the mailman in the small town in Texas went as far as to call me personally). The organization I was working with was about to lose a sale if I couldn’t get this paperwork delivered ASAP.
Diamond immediately understood the urgency. She explained the timing of the day’s last pickup, the projected delivery times for different scenarios, and what would happen if I waited until the next morning. When I told her it was time-sensitive and needed to be delivered today, she didn’t just shrug, she got to work.
Diamond personally called multiple FedEx locations—K St. NE, Eastern Market, and two in Alexandria—to find one that could still get my package out in time and fit with my schedule so I could still pick up my son from aftercare. Thanks to her help, I was able to metro to Eastern Market, drop off my package, and by the time I was home, I already had tracking updates and an estimated delivery window.
Diamond was compassionate, a true problem-solver, and an outstanding example of customer service in action. She didn’t have to help me the way she did, but she did and I’m so grateful. In this environment and economy, you can't afford to lose a sale or have bad customer experience. FedEx Kinkos is lucky to have her and because of her, I will be a returning customer!”

“I live in this community and have been using this UPS store regularly for over 2 years. I have always known their hours to be until 7pm on the weekdays. It’s my understanding that they stop doing special services by 6:30 because it requires time and could exceed closing. All of the employees at this UPS store are wonderful. They are always helpful and very friendly. Ms Shawn is great. Elijah is awesome and the others are very nice as well. Great store! Can’t see going anywhere else for my UPS needs. I also don’t mind adhering to the hours that are posted.”
