I went to this branch 1370 W Patrick St, Frederick, MD 21703 earlier today (I posted the address to make sure this is the location I’m referring to)
I went inside the branch for a wire transfer and was told to wait because the banker was helping another customer which I didn’t have any problem waiting. He could see me sitting outside because the space is an open space and not an enclosed office. After waiting about 20 minutes, the woman he was helping left, Alex came out and asked me what I came in for and told me that he’ll be with me shortly. He went behind the teller counter came out and then said to me in a RUDE TONE that he was leaving and there’s no banker to help me so I had to wait for the person coming in after him in about 10 minutes to take care of me.
Even though I was on my way to work, I said to myself that I’ve already waited all this time so I decided to wait. I asked him why he didn’t tell me earlier and had me wait all that time just to tell me that. I asked him his name and he won’t tell me so I had to ask one of the tellers and was told his name is Alex.
I’ve been with Truist used to be SunTrust bank for 13 years and is this close to closing my business and personal accounts.
I’m writing this Review because obviously this guy doesn’t know anything about Customer service so Management needs to retrain him if you’re going to keep his employment or you’re going to lose Customers.

I had a bad experience after 8 years of maintaining an account with this bank, I went to the Truist branch on West Patrick Route 40 Frederick MD to change my type of account that I had, a teller named ALEX helped me when I left the bank as in question In 1 hour I opened the bank app on my cell phone and I see that they had withdrawn $300 from my account, something that I had not done, I returned to the bank and they told me that it was a system error which was a lie to my face, they stole $300 from me What would have happened if I didn't check the app, I lost them completely, then they pretended that I had returned to the bank to deposit $300 so that my money was complete, I withdrew all my money, I closed the account and the boy still tells me that if I closed the account I couldn't open another one again and I told him don't worry, I don't expect to return to this bank, BAD EXPERIENCE Now imagine how many people maybe don't check what they have, I don't doubt that more than one person has had this happen to them.

A horrible experience with this bank. I called multiple times to speak to someone to only be told they would call later in the day. After multiple calls in one week...I spoke to Ricardo and he told me he didn't have time for me and hung up.We have since stopped doing business with this bank.Rude.

Sonia is completely without a question thee most ill-mannered bank teller I have ever come across. This morning not even 15 minutes ago, my girlfriend and I went here to cash her paycheck, even with a HAND written check from her place of employment.Instead she was treated abruptly an was forced to call her boss for “confirmation” of the validity of the check. (Which just yesterday had asked her to make sure got her paycheck)This makes zero sense to me. I’ve never once had any problems or issues getting any kind of check (from this bank) being cashed here.I’m really big on personal interactions, as it goes hand in hand with customer service. As well as making sure to review companies and their employees as it lead to better communication between everyone when knowing what to expect.Again, Sonia was so rude about it. There was no reason at all to be so disrespectful and make my significant other feel as though she wasn’t welcome here.I’ll never use this bank for personal or business purposes.

Do yourself a favor go some where else. They will waste your time if you do not have an account with them and not cash your check. Even though you have no problem with the $8.00 fee. Teller told me he will call in to get authorization to cash check and I heard him just cycling though the menu even though I told him the extension to call, He would not even try because it was close to 5pm. Went the next morning to a different truist they helped me WITHOUT having to call and told me they had no idea what process he was looking at.

Representative of BB&T named Sergio, was very helpful, honest, and spent an abundant amount of time with me, explaining terms and conditions of different accounts, and was able to help me set up the account hat best suited my needs. After I received mail from my bank,I didn't understand exactly what the document was confirming, I called the local office, and to my surprise, the same gentleman who helped me open my account answered the phone. Sergio remembered who I was, and was able to clarify the statement, and the other mail I received from them. I love the fact that it feels like small town banking, and so friendly, however they have a large following, and banks in states that I frequent. I am sure I will be staying with BB&t, and be doing other banking business in the future. Bethany Bond Jefferson, Md
