“My fiancé and I just spent last Friday night at Hollerstown and we had such a lovely time. Check in with Phil was incredibly easy, with him giving us our keys to our room and the main door, and giving us a tour of the shared spaces. Our room was super comfortable with a large bed, private bathroom, and no noise from our neighbors. In the morning we met Betty at breakfast, where she had made great coffee cake and vegetable frittata. Phil and Betty were lovely to chat with, as were the other guests, at breakfast! They had great recommendations of where to go the rest of the day and stories about living in Frederick. A couple other small touches we appreciated during our short stay were the gluten-free oatmeal chocolate chip peanut butter cookies that were available when we got in (they made the home smell amazing and were delicious) and the mini fridge stocked with sodas, beer and wine. We would definitely come back if we were in the area again!”

“The owner has wonderful knowledge of his spirits! I thought I had tried or at least heard of most vodkas… not the case! He said I should try a cucumber infused bottle by Wagner. It really fits the spot, refreshing too!!”

“An older property but well maintained. The rooms are comfortable size and clean. Made to order breakfast is appreciated and nice. The biggest bonus is Antoinette. So helpful and kind to her guests. She cares about their experience and cares about the hotel. Definitely makes our stays in Frederick as comfortable as possible. Thanks!Nearby activities: Moves, stores, and restaurants are all walking distance away and have sideways most of the way, too.Walkability: Moves, stores, and restaurants are all walking distance away and have sideways most of the way, too. Just don't try to walk across the streets without looking as there is a lot of traffic, especially on Buckeyestown Road”

“Sharing my travels as a disabled person with her ESA dog and mobility scooter. There is plenty of parking near the entrance if you don't get the ♿️ handicap parking spots. There are also automatic doors! I use a wagon to transport my items. That, the dog and my mobilty scooter are extremely challenging when it is just a regular door! The place smells fresh, and the staff are very nice. I had a very comfortable room. There was a breakfast available in the early morning, hours provided at check-in. Waffles, heat-and-eat breakfast sandwiches, juices, cereals, coffee, and yogurt. It felt very safe and was a very nice stay. I hope to return if I travel this way again.”

“Food and Beer were great! Parking was a nightmare. Apparently one patron was so anxious to get inside they couldn't Park properly. It made it very difficult for cars to pass by”

“Stayed 2 nights. Great hotel off the highway. Room was clean and well maintained. The hot breakfast had been sitting under the lights a little too long. Good coffe and tea. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again!”

“The room was clean and everything functioned well except when I first got into bed I heard a big clunking noise on both beds. I liked how the room opened up to a green area for my dogs. Only one out of the four ice machines in the hotel worked, and I had to travel all over in order to find it. There is no coffee maker or microwave or shampoo in your rooms but that’s OK because the price was low at $65 including taxes, and Dogs are free up to two dogs which is great.”

“We were attending a function in nearby Boonsboro and didn't want to make a two and a half hour drive back home in the dark, so I made reservations for two rooms. The rooms were spotless, and the beds, comfortable, perfect for an overnight stay. There was a commotion going on in the back parking lot, so if you arrive at night, I would recommend just going right to your rooms. Also, the night attendant seemed a bit put out, but perhaps she was just tired. The day attendant was friendly and professional. Check in/out went well. One thing I would recommend to Days Inn is to do more with the "free breakfast" as there was only coffee, donuts and muffins, plus a microwave. When I think of breakfast, I think of a little more. Or maybe set something up with the Waffle House next door. I do recommend.”

“TL;DR: Great value for the price. Older property but safe, friendly, helpful, low cost (online), convenient to food and stores.I was in that area looking for a low cost yet safe & clean place to stay. I went to two other hotels with either an equal or higher price and they were terrible either for safety or access. This was my third try and not only was it the cheapest but it turned out to be a great location (for many reasons), a safe feeling, friendliness and customer service. There is a large, well lit but not too busy gas station next door with owner/operators that keep the riffraff away. The property is older so there are issues. I stayed in two different rooms. ALL were CLEAN, neat and beds made expertly with four pillows each. The bathroom facilities were newer and a plus. The AC units were the best I have ever seen in a hotel. Breakfast was on par with any hotel I've stayed. The first had the issue that some lights didn't work and the carpet was stained from long use. I was very tired and it was very clean so I kept that room. I came back the next night and had a different room. It was awesome. The only issue was that there was no stopper in the sink (not a problem). Everything was clean, neat and newer.Overall, unless you want really high end, this is a great value. If you do get a room that seems a little less satisfactory, just ask and they will change it out. Rooms are mostly identical except that some may be more updated than others (like carpet replacement or such). Next time I am in the area I will stay here.As for one previous review about cleanliness, I only was in the rooms and breakfast but what I saw was VERY CLEAN. Even as an older property I felt it was clean enough to walk around barefoot in the room. See above for other details.”

“Service is great. Everyonee that works here have been great. I didn't have phone charger that was compatible with my phone so young lady in housekeeping went around asking everyone that worked there until she found one. Was owned by maintenence person that allowed me to use it for 3 days until able to get myself one.”
