“Thank you, Lynn! We are so grateful for the relaxing experience that comes with staying in a place that has everything we could possibly need - and then some!

Our board game loving family could run simultaneous games on the many large tables with ample seating. We could cheer for World Cup athletes and Wimbledon athletes at the same time in different common areas. The river rapids fed our adrenaline seekers, while it's more serene flow provided a meditative place to reflect over morning coffee. We cooked, baked, snacked, and celebrated 14 birthdays - three 40ths, one 75th, and one that fell on a day of our stay. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, collaborating on a 1,000 piece puzzle, chasing each other around the yard for an all-family game of flag tag, defeated a manticore in a cousin crew Dungeons and Dragons campaign, laughed our way through an impromptu poetry battle across generations, and were treated to a guitar and ukulele concert from our 8 and 9 year old musicians.

The memories we make here become family lore, and we are so grateful to have returned for a second time this summer! So much so that we have booked Stillwater for our next two annual Family Vacations.

“Wisp is a true gem in today’s modern ski environment. One of the last independent resorts on the east coast that you could reasonably spend a weekend at and stay engaged. The hotel is nice, although the pool was out of commission while we were there. It’s starting to show its age in places (the elevators are painfully slow) but its location at the foot of the hill more than makes up for it. The restaurants are pretty good, if a bit overcrowded. Certainly less overpriced than many ski resort food options I’ve been to.”
