“I would give more stars to Primrose Ellicott City if I could, and I highly recommend it without any hesitation. This was our second time looking for childcare and we toured four centers near our home. As a working mom, my top priorities were finding a place with long hours, provided meals, and an environment where my daughter would simply have fun. Primrose has completely exceeded my expectations.

My daughter has been here for two years and will be entering kindergarten this fall. She is always excited to tell me how much fun she had. Beyond the fun, the sheer amount of learning that happens here is incredible. While structured learning wasn't initially my top requirement, their curriculum is well thought out and engaging. They truly foster love of learning and curiosity. When my daughter first started here, she didn't speak a word of English, but now she is reading on her own, all thanks to what she has learned at the center.

The facility is very clean, welcoming, and has a wonderful playground. Plus, displaying the kids' artwork throughout the center keeps the atmosphere joyful and bright.

Every teacher we’ve had were very friendly and caring. It is clear that Ms. Karen, the director, and Mr. Falgun, the owner, truly care about the well-being of both the children and their parents. They know every child by name, and they always greet them with love and kindness. I cannot thank them enough, and we have been incredibly happy with our Primrose experience!”

“Lynn and Jim took ownership of this Goddard during an incredibly challenging time—just before COVID. Shortly after becoming new owners, they were faced with a temporary shutdown and the many added complexities that came with the pandemic. Despite this, they stepped into their roles with the utmost respect and care for both the students and the staff, bringing with them a clear and thoughtful vision for the school.

Over the past five years, they have made significant and positive changes. They have been intentional about hiring professional, caring, and dedicated staff. The directors in both offices are approachable, communicative, and always welcoming, making it easy to address any questions or concerns. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels friendly and supportive.

My daughter has attended since she was 8 weeks old, and I have always felt confident and at ease knowing she is in excellent care. “Chesterbrook Academy - Olney is a parent's dream come true! We enrolled our daughter at 2 1/2 years old after being at home for those years (COVID baby). As first time parents in an epidemic, we were very VERY wary of who had contact with our daughter, but CBA was wonderful and calmed down our jitters.

We were worried that she wasn't as developed as the other children in the way of speech and communication. But after two or three weeks at CBA, she started speaking in sentences!! (And she hasn't stopped talking since!) From the front desk to each teacher to each family, CBA is a great place for your child. The staff and teachers instill the mission of being kind and respectful, not just to other people but the environment and animals as well.

I was a huge fan of their extracurricular activities, karate, soccer, balled/tap, and science class. They all came to the school, so I didn't need to be an Uber driver hauling my daughter to all these classes.

My daughter has formed such strong bonds with everyone at CBA, bonds that were build on trust, care, fun, and safety. She loves all the teachers there, even the ones that she had as a toddler. Now that she going to Kindergarten, I was hoping that CBA could open a Kindergarten program so my daughter can stay there for a bit longer (we can all dream right?)”

“We enrolled our daughter here when she was just about 2 years old. As many parents, I was extremely nervous and hesitant. However, from the very beginning the staff was extremely personable and reassuring. As a mom, you want to feel that your child is safe, loved, and in a nurturing environment. The staff here made sure that we felt reassured and confident that our daughter was in good hands which made the transition easier.

Since starting here, I have noticed greatly how our daughter has had tremendous growth in not only her developmental skills but also her social skills. “I greatly appreciate the staff at Academy at Galway. I was nervous about my free spirited, yet shy toddler going to pre-k after always being home with family and having one on one attention. She can be emotional and quiet. However the decision to send her was not that hard because I have had experience with Academy at Galway many years ago when my now 16 year old daughter attended. I can say I am extremely grateful and happy I made the decision to send my daughter. Just like many years ago the staff there are amazing. The nervousness I felt went away quickly. The director was extremely understanding with how nervous I was and answered all of my emails and questions. The staff kept me updated especially her first few weeks. They’re attentive. They didn’t get upset that she was more emotional and scared in the beginning. They were patient with her and as a mother that’s all I could ask for. Knowing my child is being well cared for when I am not around. My daughter comes home everyday and is excited to tell me about her day. She may have days where she’s upset that things didn’t go her way but she is learning about being kind, sharing, boundaries. All of the things she needs to be successful as she moves to kindergarten. On weekends she counts down the days until it “almost a school day!” The teachers have been helpful with my concerns and they communicate often. My shy little girl is more outgoing and now super talkative.”

“Celebree has provided a safe, nurturing, and enjoyable environment for our daughter for a year and-a-half now. Ms. Aissatou and Ms. Leyla have both proved to be fantastic teachers who clearly care about our child’s wellbeing, and there are a number of other teachers/caregivers—including Ms. Sangita, Ms. Deborah and Ms. Gabby—who regularly go above and beyond. The administrative team is excellent too, with the level of responsiveness and professionalism that every parent hopes for. I’m thrilled that such a quality daycare is available in our area and highly recommend Celebree Ellicott City.”

My grandson has been a student for almost a year now. I pick him up every Wednesday afternoon for grandad play time. I am also on the email list which gives me access to multiple pictures and videos of his daily activities.

I am very impressed with the center and its staff. From the front desk to his room, to staff members you ran into walking around, every one is friendly and accommodating.

Miss Lei, lead instructor in his room, clearly loves my grandson.

The extensive number of learning activities offered is quite impressive. It is amazing how much my grandson retains and emulates when we follow up on the activities.

The variety of play activities and socialization opportunities is remarkable. My grandson’s progress is impressive.

“We are so happy that we found Somos Early Learning Center for our two children! The Montessori approach focuses on independence, hands-on activities, and self-directed learning. My children are confidently learning life skills (ex. putting on their own coats and zipping) and developmentally appropriate academic skills (ex. one-to-one correspondence, numbers, letters). The bi-lingual education is an added bonus!

The school is small and quaint, but the classrooms are beautifully organized and filled with engaging, appropriate materials that promote both academic and social growth. The smaller size allows for the students, teachers, and families to genuinely know everyone and gain a sense of community. We love that this is a technology-free atmosphere, and that there is an emphasis on getting outside several times a day. You will not get constant updates about your children all day, but you will know that the teachers are present, and your children are well-cared for!
The teachers are incredibly caring, patient, and genuinely dedicated to nurturing each child’s natural curiosity and love for learning. Our kids love their teachers and their school!”

“All 3 of my babies were raised at MEC. Absolutely love this place. I recommend this place for all parents looking for a nurturing environment for children. Traci has only the best qualified staff come through to raise these babies like her own. They know and give every baby the attention they need. The rooms are themed and perfect for every age. Cleanliness is a must in her eyes and is important for any daycare situation. I’m appreciative of the care and love that my children received when they needed it. Milestones Enrichment Center is a must for parents looking for a second home.”

“We transitioned here after a negative daycare experience and we couldn't be happier with this center. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, they have been team players with the efforts we put into raising our daughter. We especially love Ms. Terry, Ms, Faith, and Ms. Blossom, but all of the staff are wonderful. I love that food is included in tuition so it makes your life as a parent so much easier.”

“DeeDee's was great for the two years we were with them (2022 to 2024). We started with our oldest starting Kindergarten and our youngest starting as an older 3yr old. For the oldest, DeeDees did an amazing job of making sure she got to school and was picked up, even when she was the only student going to her school. This carried through all 2 years. She loved the teachers and made good friends we were sorry to have leave (call-out to Miss M during the summer kids club). Our youngest loved being in the 3s room and made the transition into the 4s doing a great job making new friends. I want to call out Miss C and J from the 3s room for everything they did even when both kids were only there at morning drop off. Miss S, M, and A from the 4s (I know I am missing a few I apologize here), you know the kid is happy when he wants to hug the teachers every morning when he sees them. I also want to call out Miss C, the director, who ran a solid ship, covering when teachers left and always being responsive to the parents. Overall, the teachers cared about the kids, they made sure the kids were given an environment to grow while also limiting their craziness, and we always felt comfortable dropping them off every morning.”

“We had an overall positive experience with Highland Playschool (HP), especially during our time in the Infant 1 and Infant 2 rooms.

Pros:
The teachers are wonderful—gentle, patient, and caring. We really appreciated receiving lots of photos and videos throughout the day in both Infant 1 and 2 rooms. The weekly music classes were a great bonus, and the seasonal crafts and sensory activities (especially in the Infant 2 room) were fun and engaging.

When weather permitted, Infant 1 babies were taken outside for stroller walks, and Infant 2 toddlers enjoyed playground time with plenty of equipment to play on. HP also hosts family events throughout the year, which helped foster a strong community feel. Parents are able to observe their child’s classroom at any time, which provided peace of mind. We also appreciated the provided crib linens (less laundry ftw!)

The Director, Kelly, was very accommodating in providing a separate space for our LO's on-site physical therapy sessions and also flexible in allowing our older children to attend when their preschool was briefly closed during the summer. Overall, the Director and staff are all very kind, welcoming, and friendly.

Cons:
The Infant 1 and 2 classrooms are pretty small, and not all the flooring is fully covered with mats or rugs to cushion falls.

Not sure if the school provided bibs are covering/catching much, but I do not recommend sending your toddler in with nice or light-colored clothing!

If you’re looking for a cozy, individualized, family-like daycare environment rather than a large center, Highland Playschool may be a great fit!”

“Both of my kids went to CCC recently. The teachers are warm, loving, and take great care of all of the kids. Working mom guilt is real but seeing your kids love where they're learning and growing is so reassuring. I had the option of sending my kids to their future grade school's preschool and turned it down because of the teachers at CCC. The food at CCC is astounding and the dining services staff truly care about nutrition and nourishment. During a critical time of development, my kids were constantly eating thoughtful meals at CCC that in turn, made them better eaters at home. The administration is incredible too! Amanda, Jennifer, and Aquasia are phenomenal, communicative, and work hard behind the scenes to make CCC the magical place it is. And shout out to Sherry who makes STEAM and fitness so much fun!”

The director, Miss Angel, is responsible and caring. Whenever there is an issue, they truly try to resolve it and take concerns seriously.

I also want to mention Miss Ray. She is an exceptional teacher, and in my opinion, her presence is a real blessing for the children. She has great knowledge and understanding, and she knows how to interact with children in a positive and supportive way. If a child is having any difficulty, she communicates very well with parents to make sure the issue is handled in the best possible way.”
