Fitzgerald Subaru Service in Gaithersburg is excellent and the staff all helpful and friendly. However, the scheduling center leaves much to be desired. The first person I spoke with to make an appointment was so rude to me. What is interesting is she said the first availability for an oil change was 11:30 am on the day I requested, so I said okay I will take that appointment. After getting her rude tone of voice after I asked some simple questions (such as if I could drop the car off in the morning and get it back before 3 or 4), I asked to speak to someone in service so I could find out what else my car needed. After speaking to the service advisor he transferred me back to the schedulers because the rude woman did not schedule me. Lucky for me, I got a different woman who was said the first availability is 9:15 am. So it was only two minutes since the first scheduler said she only had 11:30 am open. I hate calling the schedulers at Fitzgerald. You never know if you will speak to someone who is rude or who is helpful. But those working in the service department are all great.

The worst shop that I have ever been to when it comes to pricing and insisting that you need more services than what you came for. Each time I’ve come, I come for an oil change and tire rotation, and EACH TIME I’ve come, they’ve wanted me to spend over a thousand dollars on other services too. Today they quoted me $3,800 for 6 things - one was a long stud that THEY broke, and two were things I already got last year. Jerry Sandy told me oops, my bad, I should’ve looked at your history and not put on the two things you already got. This is the last time I’ll be wasting my time and money on this service center. At this point I miss my Honda, which I always had great experiences with getting serviced.

Had a wonderful experience at this dealership. Tony worked with me to address all my needs, and made sure to call out the features relevant to what I care about. In addition, he worked with me to get a car the same day that I walked into the dealership since I had some life events that required a quick turnaround. I ended up finishing the process right around closing time and he was patient and understanding all the way through. He also made sure to show support after the purchase by reaching out and ensuring that I did not have any questions left unanswered. When I am in the market for a new car, I will return and ask for Tony!

Had to come over for a Takata Airbag Recall in my Subaru. Was inconvenienced by having to reschedule twice due to lack of oversight on my behalf (didn't ask enough questions when I should've) and on the dealership's (didn't inform me that my gas tank had to be below a certain point for the maintenance) which led to the work being delayed for a week after it had already been postponed by a week. Was starting to get a bad feeling but complaining wouldn't have helped. Sou must've picked up on my discontent because he offered me a loaner car while my car was out for the day. That act made me feel better about the situation which is why I'm writing a 4 star review as opposed to a 2 or 3 star review. The dealership was also kind enough to have done a an inspection that made me aware of some problems that I was not previously aware of. Overall good experience.

I trusted Fitzgerald Subaru with my car, and they handed it over to a complete stranger. When I confronted them, they blamed the other customer and then stopped responding entirely. No one could have taken my vehicle without the dealership giving them my keys. Their carelessness and total lack of accountability is shocking. I will never trust them with my car—or my money—again.
This goes far beyond poor service—it’s a major breach of safety and trust. A dealership that can’t ensure your car isn’t given to the wrong person is legally and financially responsible for any resulting loss or damage.

Consistently get the runaround. Service not performed properly & took it back, only to be told “you shouldn’t balance the tires so often” & “road force tire balancing can hurt the car”. Next time I return will be to dump this 💩car when the lease is done in 6 months
