“I was in contact with several moving companies and decided on Nation Capital Movers due to them calling me back within a few minutes after the call. Peter was super helpful as I had a lot of questions about the move but he made it clear about what to expect and confirmed my date and time. The two gentleman showed up promptly at 8:30 and the started right away moving items into the truck, they were finished in no time and off to my new place. Once they arrived they were back at it unloading everything and placing it exactly where I wanted things to be. Super courteous, polite and hard working people. “Seamless long-distance move from DC to North Carolina in October, 2025. Jason Bass did an initial, in-person walk-through (a step that many companies skip) and provided an estimate that proved to be 100% accurate. The moving crew (led by Zonai Ruiz) was friendly and conscientious. They wrapped and inventoried literally everything, from my best furniture down to the vacuum cleaners. Anything removable or breakable (shelves in bookcases, glass table tops, bottles, etc.) was wrapped with care. They finished up around noon on a Tuesday, and were already at the house in North Carolina by 10 the following morning. They unloaded the truck, reassembled what had been taken apart, and put everything in its proper place with the same care as the day before. I cannot recommend Town & Country highly enough.”

I have now used them three times within the last year and every time the level of care they have given in wrapping furniture, moving with great efficiency, and the level of respect is unmatched! We have had the pleasure of working with Maya, Nico, Syed, Yuri, Vlad, Alexander, and Ivan! All of them have been very kind and understanding with all aspects of the move, assembling furniture, bed, dresser, and even fixing a few chairs that were previously broken. “I used JK for a move and was 100% satisfied. The service from the time I contacted them was such a pleasant experience.
The moving crew called me the morning of the move, and provided their ETA. They arrive early.
I have used 4-5 other moving companies and their team was by far the most professional and they actually worked. The did not milk the clock.
I have never experienced a company put down floor protection and padding around the doorway they were using to move items in and out of.
They finished the job in less time than I was quoted. If I move again, I know who I am calling.”
“I had a really positive experience using this company to ship my family treasures overseas. The packing team was quick and competent and accommodated my really limited schedule. The office staff, particularly Katherine Zambrano and Jacob Hsieh, were always friendly, informative, and responded to my emails quickly. The stress of dealing with cleaning out a house and choosing what to save was greatly ameliorated by having the possibility of sending boxes and boxes of stuff to where I am living.
