“My dog recently injured her leg and everyone at Lake Forest Animal Hospital was so friendly, helping me to get her taken care of so she can walk again. She's a senior dog with Cushing's and they have been wonderful in helping us keep her regulated. Lake Forest was not the first vet we tried when we moved here, but they will be the last because there is no need to look elsewhere.”

“We adopted a kitten from the affiliated rescue organization at this vet. The adoption coordinator was amazing! She allowed us to spend time with all of the adoptable cats and kittens. We were there for several hours until deciding on the most compatible kitten for our family. We signed the paperwork and came back the following day to pick her up. This gave us time to prepare and buy the correct food and litter. The adoption fee included the required shots. We opted to have a chip for safety and the vet did that before we picked her up. Very easy process and we adore our new kitty Tofu!”

“Excellent service and phenomenal care. My dog had a routine dental and discovered that he would need several extractions so he was referred here to Dr. Taney. This place is top notch with excellent care, everyone is so kind and knowledgeable, and state of the art equipment is used. They called me every step of the way so I knew exactly what was happening with my dog and I knew he was in good hands. His procedure went smoothly and he needed less teeth extracted than originally thought, but he did need a filling on one of his canines! We were discharged by Dr. Garber who is also very kind - the discharge instructions are also very thorough and they called to check on him the next day. Overall great experience and highly recommend!”
“Visiting Dr. Nave Dhillon and his assistant Renee's practice is a slice out of James Herriot's "All Creatures Great and Small." They provide the same humane, practical, reasonable care that keeps fostering and fur-baby family-members affordable. Our 13-year cat Opie had a chipmunk cheek one day last month, which turned out to be an abscess caused by a rotten tooth. Our local vet charged us $600 for bloodwork, antibiotic, and a rabies shot, then offered to sort out the teeth for $1,200-2,000. I checked with Turkey Foot; Renee was able to work Opie in within the week for a quarter of the cost, and our little guy has been back to normal ever since. Dr. Dhillon treats animals that others won't touch, such as a feral cat I trapped, who was so wild that he needed to be anesthetized in a cage before he could be neutered. They really listen to my concerns and provide thorough answers and after-care check-ins. I particularly appreciate that Renee texted a picture of Opie recovering after surgery.”

When one of my cats passed they personally wrote me a letter saying their condolences with hand written signatures. They are reliable and professional. The veterinarian is very informative and comes from personal experience when she provides me with guidance on matters concerning my cat. I have no complaints! “Dr. Megan Giebel is absolutely wonderful. Our pet has been with her since she was 8 weeks old and now she's 12 and has been brought through much over the years. Dr. Megan spotted a cancer that was successfully treated because of her early diagnosis.”

“Dr Petros is our go too. He is there when you need him! He saved our dogs life twice and kept him on 24 hour care. We were not a regular at this office and he saved our dogs life on a holiday. He put a jumpsuit over a suit and tie and came in to help us. He saved our dogs life on two separate occasions. He was able to make a diagnose fast when time matters and help us get an appointment with oncology in DC. He was there for us even though we were not his full time patients. We made the switch to this office and won’t look back. I would give more stars if I could!”

We could not be happier with both Dr. Jeffers and Anjeli and the way our dog has transformed over the past two years. They never gave up on trying different ways to help him until he made complete recovery. We will always be grateful for their help and dedication.”
“2022 About five years ago my dog was enrolled a wellness pet care plan with a large corporate veterinarian retail outlet, where one of her mammary tumors was not removed; even though it was marked and discussed previously with the vet. Veterinary Referral Associates diagnosed my dog with high grade cancer (large B-cell lymphoma). Cost of chemo options was $5.000, and $8,000. My multiple phone calls asking questions were returned quickly. Non-judgmental advice given to owner on choice of chemo vs Palliative care. I chose Palliative care, and my dog was with me for about 60 days after the diagnosis. Empathetic vet and excellent euthanasia program. I think my dog would still be with me had I not thought I was saving time and money by using the large corporate veterinarian retail outlet’s wellness pet care.
1/2026 dogs: 4 yr old w/epilepsy, 9 yr old w/arthritis. They review the episodes, lab work, physicals and make changes to meds & etc, as necessary to provide the best quality life for my pets. Thank you ?”

“I frantically contacted Kentlands Veterinary Hospital when I needed urgent help with my dog. It was near closing and my own vet practice wouldn't stay late to see my dog. I called an emergency vet and they said there was an 8 hour wait. I called Kentlands vet and said I wasn't a client, but I desperately needed help. The doctor offered to stay late to see my dog even though I wasn't a client. She is clearly passionate about animals, placing their needs above her own. She was quickly able to diagnose the problem and literally saved me hours of waiting and hundreds of dollars at the emergency vet. I was so grateful for the excellent care and even more for the extreme kindness in our time of need. Can't say enough wonderful things about this place!”
