“After moving from California to Maryland and looking into several other local clinics, Woodley Gardens is definitely at the forefront of animal care. The staff are polite and knowledgeable and are great about scheduling you in a last minute pinch and ACTUALLY calling you back if there’s an opening or an earlier time slot which is something of a rarity in this day and age.

They’re also open on Saturdays which as a service industry worker with a chaotic schedule can sometimes be the only time I have to fit in an appointment. Outside of that their app makes scheduling an absolute breeze compared to the other clinics and animal hospitals I’ve tried in the greater Rockville area.

The doctors and nurses are extremely well-versed in pet care and don’t try to disregard your experience with your per’s health which has truly been something that’s been hard to find. Truthfully we love Woodley Gardens so much I’ve recommended them to several friends and will continue to do so!

Pro tip: Carmen’s is right next door and they have a nice little selection of treats for your pup post-visit”

“Started taking our dog when I moved to the area 3 years ago and never had a bad experience: administrative staff was always courteous, space was always clean, medical staff was always knowledgeable. But nothing surpassed my expectations more then when the time came to help Rooney cross the Rainbow Bridge:
1) leaniancy in scheduling procedure - they allowed me to wait for the kids to come home from school
2) a comfortable private room to say goodbye - it wasn't just any available exam room, I sat on a couch and snuggled with him as we said our goodbyes
3) gentle explanations of his condition and options - when the doctor I spoke with in the morning wouldn't be available later in the day, she informed me of who would be assisting us and when it came time the new doctor was informed of our circumstances and kindly explained what would happen
They also provided the keepsake in my picture which is more than I have ever gotten from other providers with past pets. Not only that, but once I got the call saying the paw print was ready, I was allowed to come whenever I was ready to accept it so they kindly held onto it for a few weeks for me.

The doctor is excellent—he explained Coffee’s sarcoma and every step of the procedure in clear, reassuring terms, so I knew my pup was in skilled hands. The entire staff is calm, kind, and supportive, which made a stressful situation much easier. Coffee had a minimally invasive surgery and recovered very quickly with great follow-up. “I have taken my current dog and my dog before him to be vaccinated by Vetco at my local Petco for at least 15 years. Overall I've been happy with their service. The vets are always very nice and willing to answer questions. Vetco provides me with a report of my and my dog's visit promptly. The only improvement I'd like to see made is for them to allow clients to request a phone call or e-mail the day of their appointment rather than a text.”
