I love this Safeways but their fruit selection isn’t always fresh. Anyway, today I did a drive up order and Po helped me! She is simply amazing her customer service is outstanding beyond words and she was the most patient person I’ve ever encountered. Please continue to hire employees like her. What I love about this Safeway in Germantown is the bakery- best bread, pastries and selections. I also like to convenience of its proximity to my house. Been a solid repeat customer for over 20 years. Love the friendly staff. Can’t give it a five due the lack of investment to renovate the bathrooms and equipments. I also noticed self check-outs are more than ever and I don’t see the cashiers as much. I understand that this is a trend but customer service was my number 1 reason to come here. The interactions with them made shopping very pleasant for me and my husband.

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible staff at Safeway. Over the years, my family and I have frequented this store, especially in the early mornings to help my child, who is on the spectrum, burn off some steam.
From the moment we walk in, we are greeted with genuine warmth and kindness that truly makes a difference. The staff's understanding and patience shine through every interaction, making our shopping experience not just about groceries but about feeling welcomed and valued.
Their ability to connect with my child and cater to his needs with such compassion is something I deeply appreciate. It's rare to find a place where you feel so comfortable and accepted, and for that, I am profoundly thankful.
Thank you, Safeway for creating an environment that fosters understanding and inclusivity. You have made a lasting positive impact on our lives!

UPDATE 07-15-2024: I have stopped shopping here all together because they have outrageously overpriced all of their food. Much higher than giant. Between that and the fact that their pharmacy has deteriorated into a shambles I will probably never go back again.
This Safeway hasn't changed much over the years except that the prices have gone up. Astronomically. They've gone up much higher than the Giant across the street and other stores in our neighborhood. The only reason I still go there is to pick up the one prescription I can't have delivered because it needs to be refrigerated. And even that I'm thinking of changing over to CVS because they have a drive-thru so I can minimize my exposure to other people, since few people are wearing masks anymore. The pharmacy used to be really good, but in recent years they've had several big turnovers and one pharmacist in particular is what I would call potentially dangerously careless/ incompetent.

Terrible experience with security at this location. They escalate situations with suspected shoplifters unnecessarily. There's no need for things to get physical and jeopardize the safety of those involved or other customers over sliced American cheese or anything else.

Absolutely 0 star for the customer service they always short staff specially on western union desk. They always tell stop by morning. Worst experience ever. This is the 4 stop I’II be quitting for them and begging them to help……

They have a card skimmer on the self check out card reader. Be careful you guys. I’d use a prepaid card purchasing items there! I just got all my funds stolen on my card. I’m contacting corporate tomorrow.
