I like to go here but there’s a machine that’s been out of service for almost a month now and this location is not that big to have only one machine of those working. Please fix this little things! “My favorite thing to do when I travel is to drop in to CrossFit gyms. I'm a CF nerd and coach for 8 years. I have probably visited around 20+ gyms and this is the best experience I have ever had. I was able to sign up online very easily. Right away the coach, Aman, welcomed me when I walked in the door and made me feel comfortable and explained all the housekeeping details of their gym. By the end of the class, he had also introduced me to every single person in their gym! He was awesome. I loved his calm demeanor about him when explaining the workout (I learned a few things from him!) , his classroom management was top notch and his communication on movement standards reflected true virtuosity in a lighthearted way. Aman and CrossFit DC is the perfect example of why anyone who tries CrossFit gets life changing results.”

“I had scheduled a body scan and ran very late. By the time I got to the gym, the instructor who was supposed to do the scan had left. However, Elena @ the front desk was so incredibly helpful by first attempting to reschedule me but when we couldn’t find a suitable time, she went ahead and performed the scan and told me to just ask any of the instructors for an explanation the next time I come back. This was above and beyond customer service. I have also enjoyed working out at the gym.”

“I love OpenBarre! I really enjoy taking classes here. I wasn’t able to attend a first timers class as my first class, but I have always felt welcomed and all of the teachers provide great instruction and cues during class, so it’s easy to follow along. I love the intensity of the classes: it’s enough that I really feel like I’m working muscles, but not so hard that I’m wiped out afterwards. I only wish that I had started coming here sooner!”

“This regimen was meant to be a New Year resolution now that my academic program is over. It challenging at first but I expected that. However, after a month I am finally back in the swing of things. I feel better than when I initially started and can see some progress taking shape. Marcus answered any and all questions while ensuring I understood what I needed to do for each interval. I joke that ‘he be tryna kill me’ lol, but I am grateful for his program. His website is easy to understand and scheduling is simplistic. Here’s to increasing my frequency from the Red Level to the Black Level Membership. Gotta etch and sculpt this body before summer gets here! 5 months and counting toward great fitness goals!”

“This gym got me through grad school! A quick workout that was easy to fit in with my schedule, I was able to burn off nervous energy and develop arm muscles (the biggest I've ever had)! During my recent stay in Maryland, I opted for an unlimited pass and tried various locations, with the Silver Spring location being my preferred choice, especially during the winter months due to the ample indoor space. Danielle's warm and personable approach made my initial encounter with the gym memorable. The members/"troops", the trainers/"black hats", and owners make for a phenomenal environment. The gym culture makes for great camaraderie; the workouts are thoughtfully designed and modified to be a challenging experience for individuals of any fitness level. The military branding didn't resonate with me but has grown on me over time. I might even find myself letting out an "HOOAH" at my next gym session. ??✨”

“Heartily recommend it. My wife and I stumbled on this place two years ago and we are so glad we did. We are now both there 5 days a week and are in better physical shape than we’ve ever been. The people are friendly, there’s enough equipment so I never have to wait, the equipment is clean and in great shape, and the classes are very beneficial. It’s big enough, but not too big. And we so enjoy the others who workout there also. There is a healthy, positive culture there, and that’s so important. Wellness for Life is truly a gem.”

She customizes my workouts to meet my fitness goals and has also helped me with dietary changes, macros, etc. Brian is a wealth of knowledge with nutrition/fitness and recently conducted an informative nutrition class. I signed up for the body transformation challenge and was paired with my man Coach Dave! His guidance and oversight of my workouts and progress proved to be a key contributing factor to my success in accomplishing my goals; and more importantly motivating me to set and work towards new ones .Great facilities, with genuine non overbearing staff who want to see you get better. Physicality classes are challenging, fun, and easy to jump into at any level. A wide mix of skills, ages, and backgrounds in every class. Everyone is a cool Yoga instructor or a rock-climbing economist — I don’t know why, that’s just how it works.

On a Tuesday in fall 2022, I finally gathered the courage to show up to a handstand class. Within minutes I realized I made a huge mistake — I should have joined sooner. Now I come 5-6 days a week, do handstand push-ups, and my wife says I look “almost as good as when we met.” (That was 10 years ago, so it’s a compliment I think.) Don’t wait like me! Join the best gym in DC. I’ll see you in class. ✌️

“Our daughter had an amazing summer with this fitness camp. Each day was filled with something new. Ms. Leila made sure the children were engaged with eachother, had fun and learned something. They traveled by metro bus and train. Sites visited(building museum,zoo,library,pool,DPR basketball court, Spy museum, Tech Tuesday class at the Apple Store, Childrens Museum, and the Word display museum just to name a few. She is still talking about how she learned to jump rope;). The class sizes were small and the atmosphere felt like you were part of a family. ?. We will be back for the 2025 camp sessions, come join us!”

“This gym is located in an old rustic Fire House. They have all the essentials you need for a good Crossfit Workout, and nothing more with I find nice. Pull ups bars, Rings, Ropes, Squat Racks, Rowing Machine, and it is in a scenic area I think for your runs. Staff is nice, helpful, and well informed. If you drive mind to keep valuables out of few in your car. Not that the gym is in a bad area, but this is Downtown D.C.”
