... First things first, I moved here from Florida and the Dollar generals in Anne Arundel county and in Baltimore area are so so much better than the ones in Central Florida!
They seem to sell everything from quality bras and comfortable underwear. To medicines to name brand makeup to baby things to furniture, lamps to all name brand types of food, cereals, ice creams, great priced milk even almond milk!
In this particular one off Veterans highway in Millersville, MD. Everybody is always so nice and so helpful and they genuinely want you to save money and explain the quality of your savings If you download the app.
The only reason I haven't visited more often is because I'm a forgetful person and it's not right around the corner from you. Now that I've gone there a couple times to doordash and deliver for other people, I am definitely a true believer in this store and I even got the app.
You can get cash back! And I mean good cash back. For example, they'll tell you, you can earn $3 off Venus four pack razors and the razors will only be $6!!! Other full price convenient and grocery stores, they're I think somewhere from 12 to 16 bucks!! So in retrospect you're only paying $3 for these razors at any Dollar General ( at least for this week's special ? ) because they're giving you immediately another $3 to go spend in their store!!!!! It doesn't get much better than that ? but the nice and friendly and helpful employees really make it a thousand times better than any other discount store I can think of at this time! Or really any store. They definitely raise the bar for quality. Kind friendly, helpful customer service!
To clarify, I do not know anybody that works there. I have never worked here. I've only been in this store four times. This is truly how impressed I am with this store and this location particularly ?
I wish I could remember the name of the young man working Sunday June 23rd, 2024 evening to closing shift, at the register.... because he was terrific!!!! If Dollar general sees this and knows the person's name, please let me know so I can give them a shout out in this review because they gave terrific, joyful, efficient customer service. They were very knowledgeable and helpful about the app while still keeping up with a line and being the only person on the register! And doing all with a smile and genuinely and authentically seemed to love what they do and moved helping people which I think is fantastic!!”
“There are 3 family dollars in my area. This is my preferred store. Always clean, well stocked and the associates are friendly with good customer service. The only thing is the company should work on fixing the air conditioning it’s pretty hot in there sometimes which makes it uncomfortable while trying to shop I don’t see how the associates tolerate it.”
“I went in on December 1st looking for more stockings. I nominated myself to do 65 stockings for work and I was 8 short. This was the 4th Dollar General I had visited. The cashier took her time to look through the boxes for me. We may not have what I was looking for, but out of the 4 other local stores I visited, she was the most helpful and thoughtful person I dealt with. It truly meant a lot, and I will go out of my way to visit again!”

“Service: the young lady that waited on me was polite. Her children were calling on her phone but it didn't bother me. Selection: they have a good selection of items that you may not want to pay alot for. This store seems to always be cluttered with carts of stock items near the front Value: I usually get my paper products here. Paper towels, napkins and bathroom tissue is a great value. Why pay alot for things you're throwing in the trash Laundry detergent and other name brand household items are a great value at family dollar. - they use brown paper bags with no handles here. Bring your own shopping bags because you can't take the shopping carts out to your car.”

“You can find so much here from home decor to household items, holiday/ seasonal things, pantry & food, clothing, etc: They even have Ravens stuff there now. This is my neighborhood Fam $. Cashiers & guy always sitting by door are very friendly. Prices have gone up but they pretty much have everywhere. You have to get there sometimes before things are bought out & they restock but basically this is a really cool, decent Fam $.”

The selection was nice, was greeted immediately and for a Sat afternoon - it wasn't that busy.. Once I picked out my glasses, I roamed the aisles a bit & this was the cleanest Dollar Tree I'd ever seen... Once done browsing, I got in line & Erica was so sweet.. She got me in & out.... “First time visiting this Dollar Tree store, and it was pretty big. The store was clean and organized. It is located next to the Goodwill store on Ritchie Highway. The place was well stocked with a good variety of products. They have a nice aisle of greeting cards. Their snack aisle was also very big. This location also has a Dairy and Frozen Food section. The outside parking lot is nice and spacious, so it's not congested like some Dollar Tree parking lots are. The cashier was friendly and courteous.”
“Not sure why this store has such bad reviews. Yes, it’s a little dirty. Yes, they don’t always have the best inventory. Yes, checking out can sometimes be a little annoying. However, they are open til 11pm, have very reasonable prices for a “convenience” store, and I have been bailed out multiple times needing something at 10:30pm to which they were either the only store open or the only one who had the product in arbutus.”
“I've been here before and it's a decent store as dollar stores go. I may update this after I actually get in the store this morning. The hours on the Google profile say 8:00 a.m. to 7 p.m., but this door definitely does not open at 8:00 a.m., at least not on Saturdays. I was there from 8:00 a.m. to 10 minutes after”
