“I recently took my car to 1737 York Road, where they proceeded to break it. All I got was a simple oil change, yet a week later it was leaking all the oil out all over my garage. I took it back and they said the oil plug was stripped, wouldn't take responsibility for it and then got an attitude and said I was blaming them for it. Yes, I was! They then said they would fix it (their mistake) for $500. They also said I needed calipers replaced and a break job then quoted me $1700 for all of it. Instead, I called Dan and explained how this other place had F'd up my car. He said he'd gladly take a look and call me with his recommendations. I picked up my car the next day, paying $590 total for everything the other place wanted $1700 for. I hadn't been to Dan's new shop at 300 Clubhouse Road. It's so nice. A roomy bay area with windows and light. The employees seem very happy in this new location and I will only trust Dan with my 20-year old sturdy Honda Accord from now on. He's friendly and professional, has a loyal customer base, and is honest.”

“It was as easy of an experience as you could hope for when dealing with a broken down car. I highly recommend if you live in the area to use them as your mechanic or if you ever have an emergency go there! A+My car broke down with a bad alternator on I-83. I was able to jump my car and drive off the highway. I did a quick Google search for local automotive mechanics and noticed that Milford had excellent reviews. I was able to get my car towed to Milford but they were closed at the time. Someone who works there actually stopped in to get something while I was dropping off my key so I was able to explain the situation.He told me they'd be able to take care of it in a day or two which worked out perfectly because I was not in a rush. They called me the next day to confirm it was the alternator. The day after that the car was repaired and I haven't had a single issue with it since. It's been running great. Since I live an hour away they were able to leave my key and I could pick it up after hours.Thank you Milford Automotive Service Center!”

I was kind of disappointed to have waited close to 4 and 1/2 hours before hearing a status on the car which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. “I was able to schedule an appointment on Tuesday for today (Thursday 1st thing in the morning) with Tim. When I arrived (at 7:30am), he got me checked in right away and explained the techs come in at 8 and my car would be pulled in 1st. He gave me a break down of maintenance recommendations but was not pushing for a sale on any other service. He explained what to take care of first and quoted the price (which was about the same as over the phone) and said the work would be done by 10. I walked down to Burger King and he called at 9:45 letting me know my car was ready. I will be returning for other services and recommending the location to friends.”

“I needed two tires replaced on my 2010 Camry as they were shredded in a minor accident. I called up and they said if I get it in then the next couple of hours they could get it out the same day. I had the car towed to the Hilltop location and got me in immediately. They looked at the rear tires and I decided to replace them also since they were worn and not in the greatest shape.The place was very clean spacious and the person who waited on me, Malachi (42381) was very accommodating as I my a 77 year old above the leg amputatee. They had very little problem with my adapter driving sticks in my car. I would recommend this location anytime for anything and thank you.”

“I found Hillen Tire and Auto Service by happenstance just when I needed them.I had a bad experience with another local mechanic and was feeling less than optimistic about finding someone reputable and reliable to help me navigate the repairs on my car that the other place recommended as “critical”.After doing my due diligence of calling multiple places for quotes and reading reviews, I found Hillen simply by driving by it.I called for a quote on a Friday. The staff at Hillen was knowledgeable and friendly and I decided to make an appointment with them for the following Monday based on our phone conversation. I’m so happy I did.After replacing 4 tires for $300 less than the other place wanted to charge, Brian, the owner, personally walked me through the list of items the other mechanic had given me and told me what repairs were actually necessary for my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek.(And whoever wrote in the reviews that the owner was attractive wasn’t lying!)But Brian’s good looks, while noteworthy, are not the focal point here. What I most wish to convey in this review is the transparency and the integrity that I witnessed with Brian and the staff at Hillen. They were kind, knowledgeable, professional and courteous.I actually felt seen and heard when I expressed my concerns. Brian took the time to explain everything to me and I left reassured that my car was in fact safe to drive and that I didn’t need a lot of the “suggested” repairs the other place listed as critical.So if you have been struggling to find an honest (attractive) team of humans who are going to tell you straight up what you need and who aren’t trying to just make a dollar off of you, and who do a great job, Hillen is your place.I left the 1st mechanic in tears. “Highly satisfied with this shop . I Needed a very large truck tire replaced in a Emergency . Steve was abel to order the tire that evening and have it at the shop the next morning . I droped the tire off at 9:30 am . He told me it would be done by the end of the day Which would have been fine . But i Received a call at noon saying it was done. They are definitely on top of their game here ! Very Friendly staff and would highly recommend To anyone.Especially if you are in a bind and have a larger truck tire .”
