Really a fantastic service, went in for interlocking and detox and left feeling light and smelling good, which is really all you can hope for

Been going here for the past few months and my hair is doing AMAZING! It's growing back to where it was pre-pandemic. The stylists here are knowledgeable about their craft and always willing to share valuable information with their clients to teach us how to properly care for our hair. Also the fact that a wash is INCLUDED with braid service is CLUTCH. ????????Love the folks, the vibe, and the services here ❤️❤️❤️Services: Braids

I was charged $135 for an $85 service that included the shampoo, deep condition, blow-out/trim & cornrow. The hairstylist I saw kept adding services(blowout & trim) that I explicitly never asked for in our phone call prior to the appointment. I knew how much the service was and wanted to see if the hairstylist was going to take advantage of me being a new client and overcharge me. And she did. The website has the prices listed and I referred to that prior to coming in today. I am disappointed and will not be returning to a salon that takes advantage of its clients.

Called to make an appointment. Was referred to Brie who did not respond to my text. I messaged the owner to see if she could assist and nothing as well. Getting your hair done in the area is such a hassle I need to know to plan my day and holding me up by not answering is unprofessional.

I attempt to give fair and balanced reviews so I will present both sides of my experienceThe good:- The appointment started on time and was efficient- The hair came out fineThe bad:Just about everything else- When I got to the appointment I explained to the stylist Bre that I have scalp issues and a medicated shampoo that my dermatologist prescribed to be applied to my scalp but not drawn through the hair because it is very drying. She seemed agreeable but then proceeded to put the shampoo all over my hair stating that she’s seen the shampoo before and “that’s the procedure for all my other clients”. What is done for other clients in this regard is irrelevant. My doctor gave instruction and if the stylist did not want to do that, she should have been up front that she didn't want to. Mind you, she never looked closely at my scalp but refused to follow the directions of someone who had.- At the end of the appointment, she attempted to raise the price stating that what was on the website “is the base price”. My hair is about 6-7 inches long and did not require extensive detangling. The website says NOTHING of a base price with possible increases.- The absolute worst part of this appointment was how much the poor communication skills carried through from beginning to end. So at the end, I get told that ONLY CASHAPP or CASH is accepted. This is NOT on the Vagaro website where I did my booking (which states credit cards are accepted). This was NOT mentioned when I texted with Bre prior to the appointment. This is NOT mentioned on the front door of the salon (which has credit card decals on it). I offered to pay by Venmo, Paypal or Zelle as I do not have Cashapp and was not going to download it for this purpose. I would have happily paid cash if I was told about this beforehand. She said she would accept a check so I went home to get the check. Upon my return, she tells me that she really wanted cash because she did not know when she would go to the bank. At this point I was completely irritated and done. I told her I was absolutely not going to an ATM in the dark nor paying ATM fees due to this business’s poor communication skills. The claim was that they stopped taking credit cards and have not updated the website “because of the pandemic”. IT’s **2023**. The pandemic started in **2020**. To say that’s the reason for the lack of update is absolutely ridiculous.- I really wanted to like this salon but the chances of me returning are slim to none.Service: Hairstyling

Great place to get loc maintenance and starters. I came here after another stylist messed up my hair. I was grateful to have found this shop, but it can get pricey depending on service.

Okay so my first time here was great, Ohdehliyah was very nice, so nice I referred a client to her. So, of course I book another appointment it’s time for my hair to be done, So I get on the website to schedule my appointment. I set my appt for Friday on Monday. So on Friday this lady asks for a deposit of $50 ($20 for late fee all of a sudden FYI; I”ve never been late )at this point I’m confused on why it wasn’t requested on Monday. Oh wait, my first time going to this lady was back in May,2022 she never informed me or my referral of the policy. Very very unprofessional and she sees nothing wrong with it. She then told me if I wanted to be serviced, I’d need to make a deposit or my spot will be forfeited. Wow, just wow; I will be searching for someone much more professional.Service: Dreadlocks

I love love love this salon. It's nice and cozy and the stylist was very friendly. I actually met the stylist selling her product at the farmers market at Linson Pool in college park. We had a short conversation about her products and she told me to check out her salon. I told her I was big on time management. She gave me her contact information and I looked up the salon reviews and booked from there. I love my hair and plan on going back at the end of September for two strand twist all over. The pricing is reasonable for a natural salon and I'm actually very impressed with my flat twist/two strand twist style. I finally found a natual stylist that can maintain my hair when I need a break from braids and feed ins. Definitely check out Ms. O when you can.

I went to get starter locs on3-19-2021. And because I didn’t know about the process, I assumed she was the expert. OHDEHLIYAH . She is very unfriendly and unprofessional. I was trying to engage her by telling her I was excited about starting the process of locing my hair. She didn’t engage me but instead was talking to the stylist that was there . She was talking about how sick she was previously and how she thought she had Covid and that she was getting ready to start canceling her appointments. I became very uncomfortable at that time. Covid is scary enough and to hear her talking about she thought she had it was very uncool. She was talking on the phone while doing my hair. I had an appointment to come back on 4-17-2021.Previous to my return date I get a text message.(Can you come on the 24th instead of the 17th. Just like that. Mind you I had no idea at the time who was texting. I text back and ask who’s speaking. It was then that she identified herself. I paid her 95.00 plus gave her a 20.00 tip..4 weeks later my hair started looking a mess to the point I was wearing a hat ? all the time thinking I’m getting locs. On Friday 4-30-2011, I visited another loctician to get maintenance for my (AIR QUOTES) locs. Soon as I took my hat off she was like “Who did this?” She began to show me images of how starter locs were supposed to look. I wished I had looked.Could’ve saved my money. That’s life, you live and you learn. That was a$115.00 lesson.I couldn’t get my hair done that day because of the allotted time frame. My hair was so matted and tangled that it was very difficult to take down. The loctician that I found did not have an opening until 4-16-2021. Fortunately an opening became available on 4-2-2021. I went and I’m very very pleased and happy.
