National, Tire, and Battery, Hyattsville, Maryland.I had a great experience with the staff and was very satisfied with the service. I took my car in on November 24, 2023 and my service was completed on November 25, 2023 in the morning. I would recommend National Tire and Battery without reservation. Received a great deal on my tires.

I made an appointment to get four new tires. It still took them six hours to replace my tires and in the process, they broke one of my tire pressure sensors. I've been to other NTB's and they've been fine. This one is horrible. Steer clear.

Im out of town and got a flat tire while taking my son to soccer camp. The staff at NTB was outstanding! The Hyattsville Maryland staff was professional and took care of my car rather quickly without delay. Charles and his staff was courteous and have been extremely helpful. Strongly recommend NTB Hyattsville to any and all customers.

TL;DR - Easily the worst car-related experience I've ever had (and it's not a high bar).I needed to get new tires without an appointment so I called NTB and they told me I could come in and get it done that day, no problem. I asked how long it would take to get 4 new tires and an alignment and was told 2 hours for the tires and a little extra for the alignment. I decided to wait. Waited 4 hours without any update (trying to be patient because another customer was causing a scene about waiting) and I needed to leave for an appointment. So I asked how much longer. My car was sitting outside at that point. They told me the tires were done but the alignment would be another hour. I had to go, so I left without the alignment.A couple of days later, I take the car on the highway for the first time and realize that the tires are not balanced. I call NTB and they say to bring it back and leave it there because they're busy. I cancel my Saturday plans and drop off my car (incurring additional costs for Uber). Ask them to do the alignment while it's there.I return for the car and ask for a discount on the alignment to make up for the inconvenience. They give me $20 off and I leave assuming that it must be all good now.NOPE. I take it on the highway and it's still not balanced. I drive a Toyota Corolla so I am deeply confused about what could possibly be so complicated, unless they just straight up didn't balance the tires both times. I call NTB and tell them I'm taking it to another shop to figure out what the issue is.I call Radial Tire Company. Their owner tells me to come in right away and he'll figure out what's going on. Sure enough, they said the tires were "grossly unbalanced". In under an hour, they balanced the tires and the owner asked if he could take it for a drive to make sure nothing else was wrong. On top of that, he didn't want to charge me because he felt bad that it hadn't been done at NTB. Obviously, I insisted on paying because we're not letting local businesses eat the cost of corporate incompetence.I called NTB and let them know that the tires had not been balanced and I would need a refund for the balance. I'm told that they can only refund me $40 for the balancing because the $20/tire charge included mounting. After arguing, I ask to speak with someone else because the least they can do is refund the cost of what I had to pay elsewhere ($80), given that this never should've been an issue. At that point, they agree to refund the $80 but at no time during any of this did I get an apology and the attitude I was met with when asking for a very reasonable refund was ridiculous.Stay away and go to Radial Tire Company.

They were able to squeeze me in without making an appointment and my car was ready the same day. Christina was extremely helpful in helping me identify what was wrong with my car. Will definitely be using them in the future.

We needed a tire replaced and scheduled an appointment for first thing Sunday morning. The issue is the NTB website allowed us to book an appointment for 8 am and we found out the store didn’t open until 9. The staff took care of us at 9, replaced the tire and refilled my flat spare in under an hour. Appreciate the ladies and the gentleman at the front desk for handling everything so efficiently.

Very professional and pleasant staff. greeted me with smiles and warm welcome. Waiting room was clean. The ladies explained all the chargers prior to starting work. Great service all around.

I arrived and payed before scheduled time, they left my car standing 30min and I'm with small kid. They charged me 14$ additional to final invoice. They weren't interested in applying coupons for additional service that they could. They needed 1h and 30 min to put 4 new tires that I purchased from them. They forgot one cap on the tire I had to go back. On my way home I have signal on my dashboard low air pressure inside tire, on the new tires, terrible experience quality of service and done job. Stay away please.

I brought my car in for an oil change. I was told by the technician and the manager that they don’t do oil changes on cars where the oil is very low. I replied that’s the reason it needs an oil change. I was told it wasn’t leaking oil but it could be leaking in my engine and they didn’t want to touch it so I can come pick my car up which I did. Before the shop closed they charged my third party app which charged my card. When I was clearly told they couldn’t do it and wouldn’t touch my car. I had to call the Nissan dealership to verify what I was told and they told me that was not true. They should do the oil change because it is low and then they would be able to tell if it had a leak. Now I have to go to the dealership to make sure they even did the oil change. Called the shop back and the service manger said we did do the oil change it must been a misunderstanding. This is highly unacceptable. I will never bring any of my cars back here and no one else should either.

My sister had a nail on her tire.. I called for her and the "brother" on the phone was pleasant and quite informative. She bought a tire... I should have accompanied her... waaay too much. ? Although her service was great in general, the gouging was obvious too. ?

This place is terrible. I brought my car here for an alignment, tire rotation and oil. They told me they could have it done by the end of the day. I go to pick up my car after it being here for over 4 hours and I’m told that they could not complete the service I brought my car in for. Christina at the front desk is completely incompetent. I called at 3pm an hour before they closed to check on the status of my car repair because I had not heard anything… I was told that the technician has not even started on my car… it was at that time that I should have been told that they did not have enough staff to complete my repair… I’m stead Christina chose to be shady and only half way complete the service I requested after wasting my entire day. Please don’t waste your time here, they do not do alignments or appointments and will lie to you to swindle you into spending SOME type of money there!… and then the trifling lazy technicians who don’t even know how to rotate tires did not eve reset my oil life warning on my dashboard. This place is absolute trash. I feel completely scammed.
