During our POD pick-up, the PODS truck malfunctioned and spilled oil all over our driveway, bib and into the street. The driver told me that someone would be by the next day to power wash our driveway but that I should also call in the morning to file a claim. No one from PODS came the next day and the customer service response has been HORRIBLE since then. After 5 days, I finally heard from someone in the claims department with this email: "In an effort to promptly resolve this, we would kindly ask that you consider purchasing Fullers Earth Oil Dri (or comparable dri oil product) from a local hardware store as soon as possible. This product can be laid over the area affected and we have found it most effective the sooner that it is laid. This is because the hydraulic fluid we use, although not classified as hazardous, is insoluble in water. Should there be any additional action needed, we ask that you document accordingly, both before & after any cleaning, and submit it for further review." This was two days before Thanksgiving when we were set to be hosting in our newly renovated home. I don't know how PODS thinks they can spill oil all over our property and then ask US to clean it up. Also, the direction to clean it up 5 days later is too late. Our driveway is ruined and I can't get any help from PODS to resolve it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

PODS lost my container and was late for redelivery. Website and representatives were unhelpful. Prices quoted were underestimates of what was charged. Overall terrible experience. I highly recommend against using PODS for moving.

PODS has no regard for your time, they will provide ETA’s late in the day you expect your pod. Those will be missed and you will be waiting for hours. They will pick up your pod much later, mine was 13 days late being picked up. Then I was charged 600 dollars more for same day delivery as my delivery destination had a 4 hour window for reservations. This was not told to me until 3 days before.

They lost & delivered my container 4 days late, & only reimbursed me for 1 day hotel stay. I spent $9,000 with them, to only be reimbursed back $200

Order and delivery of the POD was quick. POD was delivered when promised and the driver was very careful with placement in the driveway. The issue was a latch that did not line up properly and a door that was difficult to open. POD needs to do a better job with maintenance of their doors and latches.

City service offering was excellent and the drivers who delivered the PODS and picked them up showed up on time. I changed dates on both ends and PODS was able to accomodate, but their call center was extremely slow to deal with the changes. In addition, accessing the PODS at their facility was a hassle. I called twice to get access to the containers with 24 hours notice, and both times the container had not been pulled when I arrived at the facility. I also got billed for a month of storage after I emptied the container out at their facility, so had to call and have this charge reversed. Ultimately, the logistical aspects of the service were excellent, but dealing with exceptions to their standard flows required phone calls and was time consuming and frustrating.

It was an easier move with having the flexibility hire how and when I could have my items packed and moved. We also appreciated being able to have Pods store our items until our new house was finished being built.

Beware of using this service - similar to other reviewers my pod delivery driver failed to contact me and rescheduled my delivery without notice. Upon contacting help, there was no recourse and no ability to contact the warehouse manager.

The order was easy, and the price was right. However, they lied to me about what would fit in a large POD (they said a typical 1,200 sq.ft. dwelling would fit in the unit). This would have been perfect, since we were moving into a 1,300 sq.ft. condo. The fact is, you can do this if you forgo furniture. We were not able to fit in anything like a sofa or chairs. So, in order to get these things moved, we had to get a small Uhaul truck -- which more than doubled the cost of transporting our things. When the PODS arrived, it was a comedy of lost communication. The arrival time changed multiple times, meaning I had people waiting for hours to help me unload a unit that was not there. The last change in delivery time was not communicated to me at all. When I called to ask when it would be here, I was told that it was not yet late. I told them the times I had, and they told me the times the web-site had for that delivery. They were different. They gave the driver my cell number to contact me. He did. He told me -- 30 minutes after the truck was supposed to have been there at the latest, according to the web-site -- that the POD was being put on the truck as we were speaking. He asked which way the POD should face; I informed him that the spot maintenance had reserved meant that if he backed into the spot, the door should be facing the cab of the truck. He said he would make sure that was how it was.The driver then went to the wrong address, and was re-routed by the maintenance people at my condo. As the driver brought the truck to the right address, he was going too fast down the main street and slammed on his brakes, causing all of my belongings to become wedged against the door of the unit. He then proceeded to blame me for 'the stuff shifting in transit.'It took us over two hours to get the door open. We had to get it up part-way, climb under the door and force items out of the way; tear open boxes that had been thrust forward in the POD and remove the items and pull them under the door.Over $1,600 worth of my stuff was destroyed or severely damaged. Much of the destroyed items are not replaceable -- these are items that are no longer made, or were custom made for me by family members.I started to deal with PODS to register my complaint. However, what I received was an email from a law firm, associated with another law firm, that represented the interest of PODS. I was two layers removed from PODS and after a very short time it was evident I was not going to get any sort of justice in this matter.Do not use PODS. They do not care about you. They do not care about your stuff. They do not give a crap what happens after they have your money. Use another service -- I mean, any other service. Just avoid this organization like the plague.

PODS will not call you when they arrive nor knock on your door. They call it a "courtesy" call, but will elect to be discourteous. They will leave the container wherever is convenient for them and do a rush/sloppy job. If you call customer service you will be on hold 20 minutes before a representative picks up. After they pick up they will put you on hold for 15 minutes before hanging up on you without another word. If you call back they will not help nor apologize. If the deign to enter repositioning they will want to charge you again. If you ask to speak to a manager they will simply say no you can't. So if you enjoy frustration and paying a lot for sub-optimal communication and customer service PODs it the company for you. I should have got a UHAUL.

The order was easy and the price was right. However, they lied about what can be stored in a large POD -- they said a typical 1200 sqft dwelling... that was what we were moving into... but the POD was full well before we could even include a chair, a couch, or anything of the sort. So after spending $2500 on PODS, I had to reach out to UHaul to get additional capacity (doubling the cost of the move). When the time came to deliver the POD, the estimated time of arrival changed multiple times. It was 9-12, then 8:15-11:15, then back to 9-12... however, 12 came and went and when I called to ask about it, they told me that the window had been changed to 11:45 to 2:45. So I had people waiting for hours to unload a POD that was not there, and I had never received any notice of this last move until I called. It arrived a little after 2:45.Just prior to the POD being delivered, the driver called me and informed me that the POD was just then being put on the truck and that he would be there in about 20 minutes. He asked me which way the door should face. I told him he would be backing into the space, so the door should probably face the cab of the truck. He said he would ensure that was the case. When he got here, I saw the truck and waved. He went past the lot for my home and went up the street to the next lot. The maintenance staff saw him and redirected him to the correct lot. As he came down the street, he was going a bit too fast, and slammed on the brakes just before getting to the entrance of my lot.Once the POD was off the truck, he started laying the groundwork to blame any damage on me. He asked if we had secured the load; I informed him that we had. He told me I had not. I had used to ratchet straps, criss-crossed, to secure the load. The door was bulging out where things had been thrown to the front of the POD. It took us 45 minutes to get the door open, by which time the driver was long gone.We had to get the door up part way, tear open boxes and pull the contents out from under the door in order to get enough room to crawl into the POD and push items up and back far enough to get the door open. Approximately $1600 worth of damage was done to my property, including damage and destruction of items I simply cannot replace.PODS is not s service I can recommend.

Still waiting on our weight tickets that were completed August 4th and August 9th, 2023 respectively. Company immediately charges you and expects payments on time yet does not have the same respect or standards for their customers. Customer service makes people feel stupid for reaching out. Never utilizing again and will advise all my fellow military friends about my experience in hopes they can avoid our stressful situation.

Pretty alright, if you get the right agents. The units themselves were fine, did the job and served the purpose. Was glad to remove them fr the front lawn. Pricing was good value and stayed stable.
