Fantastic customer service. Thank you Leslie for taking the time to discuss pharmacy options for our pets. I called as a frustrated patient, and Leslie did a fantastic job walking through the confusions that led to that. I’m very impressed. Thank you.

So disheartening to hear that Dr Barnes has left this practice. He was the heart and soul of this place. I’m not a fan of Dr Krishna’s hard-core, lack of empathy attitude. Hopefully they plan to hire more compassionate vets, otherwise we will be taking our pets elsewhere

Just left SSAH after more than 7 years. While Dr Krishna tends to be abrupt, I trusted her expertise for my two dogs. She had no time for us when my dog almost died and was faced with a very scary diagnosis. She had no time to see us or advise us when we needed her expertise the most. Incredibly disappointed to learn we can't count on her when we really need her.

Just ended time with SSAH. Service has tanked since the pandemic and it seems to have a ton of turnover in providers and staffUnable to schedule an appointment more than a month out and when wr did get appointment it ended up being and an hour to be seen at last appointment and ended up leaving after dr was on phone and unable to see us. Got a call after we left asking us to come right back and we’d be seen immediately.Front office staff seems like they can’t be bothered to make the business side successful. Best of luck to them. Going to vet who cares as much about our pet as we do.

Dr. Barnes and his staff are incredible, professional and kind. My dog, Baxter, is very nervous and they do a great job of making him calm. I 100% recommend

Dr. Barnes is amazing and the staff are so gentle to all of our let's. The fear-free practices are different, but I think our pets will adjust well.

Phenomenal experience! Dr. Patrick Barnes is an exceptional veterinarian. Trust not only with you be pleased with him but your pet, who does not want to be there, will be pleasantly pleased with the service and attentiveness as well.

Dr. Krishna is awesome. Our pup is a bit reactive and she spent time getting him comfortable with her to the point he was able to get his necessary medical care. Could not recommend enough.

I've been taking my pup Millie to Silver Spring Animal Hospital for the last 1.5 years. Up until now, our experiences were great - Millie loved her original vet, Dr. Laden, and all the vet techs! However, we went this past week for a few issues (cut paw, ear infection, nail trim) and had a really, really unpleasant experience. The Hospital is now instituting a "pain free" policy, which means you are required to give your pup tramadol (pain med) prior to any visit. When we went in, I had filled out a questionnaire about Millie's general triggers (e.g., vaccuums) but had not given her any medication. Notably, Millie has been to the vet and groomers at least 10 times and never had any issues (no reports of being reactive, biting, etc.). Millie is a happy puppy who loves every person and dog she meets. As such, I was surprised to hear at our appointment that I was required to give her Tramadol and recommended to buy an relaxant spray device prior to visits. I voiced to Dr. Krishna my concerns over unnecessarily drugging my dog and told her I would prefer not to, especially given Millie's happy nature. Dr. Krishna was very very rude and ignored all my concerns. We left the appointment without Dr. Krishna performing a comprehensive check or trimming Millie's nails. At check out, the vet tech (who was very nice) brought the pain meds anyway and reiterated that "it would be best" if I gave them to my dog (aka you should or you'll have another appointment where they won't do anything and charge you for it) (mind you, they're of course charging you for these pills). In short, I found the experience very unpleasant and weird. If you have a dog that has never reacted to vet appointments or groomers, why the need to preemptively prescribe her pain medications? While I see the value in doing so in certain situations, I do not understand a mandated policy forcing you to buy pain meds.TBD on whether I will return with Millie to this vet, especially now that Dr. Laden seems to have left.

I have complete confidence in Dr. Krishna, who has cared for three of my dogs, each of which has been at a different stage of life. She takes a holistic approach and describes in a clear, precise manner what my dogs' health issues are and how to address them. She is very thorough in her examinations of my dogs and takes appropriate steps to treat them with no waste of time. Her staff is well trained and kind and competent, as well. The facility is clean and bright. I highly recommend her and her staff, who have cared for my dogs for many years.

The staff is friendly and very helpful. Your pet's safety and comfort is their priority. Made my dog feel at ease and calm when it came to shots and blood draw. Very attentive staff and knowledgeable vets.

The staff are efficient and caring. I have been able to get a same-day appointment. The vet is excellent about explaining procedures and options.

Dr. Laden is the best. She takes time with her patients and answers any and all questions. By far the most thorough vet we have ever used.
