“My experience was great’ Daniel and Ama, they literally went above and beyond for me. It was Saturday night the night before the snow storm they closed at 4pm, I literally arrived at 6:34pm and knocked on their locked door seen the gates down but I still had hope. Daniel came to the door and I explained to him that I had a package pick up he kindly asked me for my ID Knowing that they closed 2 hours ago he still went out his way to find my package I stood at the door he let me in once he found my package and let me sign for it. I truly appreciate it because I really needed it and especially before that snow storm hit. They did an awesome job this was the true epitome of excellent customer service because they didn’t have to let me in or retrieve my package. They were very polite, kind and friendly! “PostNet is great. It’s my go to place dropping off package returns because it’s so easy to pull up, run inside and drop things off when I’m driving by. There is almost always parking right outside their door. If your package is already addressed, they grab it and scan it in even as they work with others so I’ve never had a long wait (unlike at the FedEx by Whole Foods where I swear dropping off packages takes 30 minutes). If I’m driving by during rush hour when you can’t park on Rt. 1, I’ll pull into the laundromat parking lot a few doors down. Technically you’re not supposed to, but I’m always in and out so fast I know I’ll be back at my car in a flash. The owner and other workers at PostNet are also very friendly, and added bonus when interacting with local business that are longstanding community members.”
“Tabatha is a star employee at this store. I watched her multitask, greet customers while being extremely pleasant, help customers, and still manage the staff. She was a one woman machine who basically worked the entire store by herself, even though there was another employee nearby. She alone has earned all five of these stars.
However on 11/7 at about 10:15, I was “helped” by someone who clearly did not want to help me. He wouldn’t even stand up to scam my QR code to ship my items back to Amazon. I had a heavy object strapped to my back, it would have been nice if he would have been thoughtful enough to just stand up to scan my code instead of prompting me to reach. I even asked him if he could just stand to scan the code and he just continued sitting. I’m sure you have this on camera and can see for yourself. This is the service I usually get. ?”

I had an urgent overnight express delivery that was critical: one of my grant recipients was at risk of losing a sale on a property due to previous failed delivery attempts via certified mail and even FedEx at two other locations. I was starting to worry about how this reflected on me professionally, and it felt like the situation was spiraling out of control and worse yet, the sale would fall through due to the mail and courier services..
Thankfully, Diamond at the Federal Center SW FedEx location referred me to this Eastern Market location, letting me know it had a late pickup, was Metro-accessible, and open late. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. I used to live in this neighborhood and don’t remember operations running this smoothly at this location. The store was busy but clean and organized, and the staff were all actively helping customers with patience and professionalism. Maxwell immediately listened to my situation, reassured me, and sprang into action. He asked a colleague to hold the night’s express shipment just a bit longer to include my package. He made sure it would go out that night and guaranteed next-day delivery by 5 PM. Maxwell even helped me photograph the tracking number, receipt, and documentation so I had everything on hand before I rushed back to the Metro to make it to my son’s aftercare pickup in Virginia.
By the time I got home and checked tracking, my package was already showing movement with an ETA of 9:30 AM–1:30 PM, well ahead of the deadline and truly exceeding expectations. Most of the time, I’m lucky if tracking even updates by the next day, but this was seamless. Thanks to Maxwell’s quick thinking and leadership, I was able to repair a professional relationship and uphold my commitment to my grant recipient. This is what true customer service looks like, and why I will be returning to this location again and again, and recommending it to colleagues.”
