My daughter started at 2 years old did her final potty training here , has learned all her number , colors and even a little bit of sign language. The staff are amazing !! Really going miss this place for my daughter but its that time for big girl school. Dont regret picking this center for her and am sure you wont either.”

“One thing I truly love about The Goddard School is how safe, loving, and welcoming they are. My daughter lights up and smiles every time she sees her teacher, and I appreciate that the other teachers also know and acknowledge her. It makes me feel like she is genuinely cared for and not just another child in the classroom.

The school is always very clean and sanitary, which gives me peace of mind as a parent because tiny humans somehow attract germs like they’re running a scientific experiment sponsored by applesauce and coughs. I also really appreciate how hands-on the directors are. They are always willing to step in and help whenever needed, and you can tell they truly care about the children and the environment they create.

I also love the learning curriculum they provide. I can see how much my daughter is learning and growing every day through hands-on activities, social interaction, and structured lessons that are still fun and engaging for the children. It gives me comfort knowing she is not only being cared for but is also developing important skills and building a strong educational foundation at such a young age.

Another thing I appreciate is the sign-in and sign-out process because it adds an extra layer of security and organization. Communication is also excellent. The app they use keeps parents updated throughout the day, which helps me feel connected and reassured while my daughter is there. “I greatly appreciate the staff at Academy at Galway. I was nervous about my free spirited, yet shy toddler going to pre-k after always being home with family and having one on one attention. She can be emotional and quiet. However the decision to send her was not that hard because I have had experience with Academy at Galway many years ago when my now 16 year old daughter attended. I can say I am extremely grateful and happy I made the decision to send my daughter. Just like many years ago the staff there are amazing. The nervousness I felt went away quickly. The director was extremely understanding with how nervous I was and answered all of my emails and questions. The staff kept me updated especially her first few weeks. They’re attentive. They didn’t get upset that she was more emotional and scared in the beginning. They were patient with her and as a mother that’s all I could ask for. Knowing my child is being well cared for when I am not around. My daughter comes home everyday and is excited to tell me about her day. She may have days where she’s upset that things didn’t go her way but she is learning about being kind, sharing, boundaries. All of the things she needs to be successful as she moves to kindergarten. On weekends she counts down the days until it “almost a school day!” The teachers have been helpful with my concerns and they communicate often. My shy little girl is more outgoing and now super talkative.”

“DeeDee's was great for the two years we were with them (2022 to 2024). We started with our oldest starting Kindergarten and our youngest starting as an older 3yr old. For the oldest, DeeDees did an amazing job of making sure she got to school and was picked up, even when she was the only student going to her school. This carried through all 2 years. She loved the teachers and made good friends we were sorry to have leave (call-out to Miss M during the summer kids club). Our youngest loved being in the 3s room and made the transition into the 4s doing a great job making new friends. I want to call out Miss C and J from the 3s room for everything they did even when both kids were only there at morning drop off. Miss S, M, and A from the 4s (I know I am missing a few I apologize here), you know the kid is happy when he wants to hug the teachers every morning when he sees them. I also want to call out Miss C, the director, who ran a solid ship, covering when teachers left and always being responsive to the parents. Overall, the teachers cared about the kids, they made sure the kids were given an environment to grow while also limiting their craziness, and we always felt comfortable dropping them off every morning.”

“My daughter has been at this daycare for a little over a year. As a a teacher and educator myself, I am very happy with the care and education my daughter is receiving at Little Miracles. We are so lucky to have found Ms. Carla. As a new mom and coming out of the pandemic, I was more than anxious to send my little one to a daycare. Little Miracles has been wonderful for my daughter and for our family.When we were first looking for daycare centers, we were struggling to find a center that we could afford and one that had room. Within an hour of contacting Ms. Carla that first summer, we were able to hear back from her and schedule an appointment to see the facility. At the time, we needed to tour while there were no kids there (of course due to the pandemic), but we were so thrilled by how our daughter took to Ms. Carla.When our daughter started, Ms. Carla assured us that our little one was happy and cared for by sending picture updates and all the fun little crafts home. She was active, learning, and playing. Our little pandemic baby was so fulfilled.The curriculum is rigorous and keeps our little one always coming home with new things she has learned. For a day care, the learning is age appropriate and challenging. Along with all the crafts, ABCs, counting, now days of the week and months have been taught to my daughter (she astounds me every week by the new things she is learning) - Ms. Carla is the one who potty trained my baby and helped us follow the routine at home. Without her, I have no idea how I would have done it. Seriously, she knows kids and she is the professional.Ms. Carla has been steadfast with her Covid protocols and this has helped her daycare stay safe and clean for all kids. The center is much smaller than other comparable centers which is best for our daughter. Ms. Carla and her team is attentive, caring, and treats all kids like her own.As a family, we deeply appreciate her service, her love towards our little butterfly, and her guidance and grace for us as new parents to support us in this journey together.”

“Our daughter had a wonderful two years at Mi Palacio. The teachers are all warm and caring, and we felt comfortable daily knowing that our child is in good loving hands. The kids are exposed to plenty of activities throughout the day, playing at the park, visiting the local library, crafts, music, dancing, water time (in the summer). Lunch provided was a big bonus for us, and of course the Spanish exposure. We'd recommend Mi Palacio wholeheartedly!”

“Childtime of Silver Spring have cared for my children from small infants to junior kindergartener. It has been comforting knowing that the cameras are available and we can keep an eye on them during the day + the multiple status updates throughout the day. There have been amazing staff and junior staff members care and teach my children over the years. It is a very very very pricey tuition each month and it’s a struggle to balance, but the staff will try and work with you. My family greatly appreciates Ms. Kelli, Ms. PerChaya, Ms. Alis, Ms. Karen, and Ms. Bilikis.

Though not at this location anymore, thank you Ms. Ileana for welcoming in both my children.

It would be nice if tuition cost could drop to be more in line with nearby locations, that is my only takeaway.”

“Northeast Stars is wonderful. We had some issues with a previous daycare and decided to switch and we immediately saw improvement in our little man. He had been on the verge of talking for a couple months and within a month of NE Stars his talking greatly improved. He has become so self sufficient and I contribute that to NE Stars. He is excited to go to “school” every day and it is comforting to know he is somewhere safe where he can grow and build relationships with his friends. The staff are extremely flexible and communicate everything efficiently - you never feel out of the loop. We are honestly sad to be leaving for Pre-K 3. If you are looking for a daycare with a safe, structured environment this is the place for you and your little one.”

“Educare is a magical and wonderful place! The staff and teachers are amazing. Our 2 children attend and we adore it.TEACHERS: are amazing! Everyone is so friendly, professional and helpful. Most of the teachers know our kids by name even if they are not in their class.FACILITIES: The facilities are beautiful with friendly inviting furniture and toys. The playgrounds and grounds are top notch.CLASSES: Our 2 year old and 4 year old adore their friends and teachers. In our 2 year old class they send detailed logs of eating, diapers and sleep. They check in every day to see our our daughter did overnight and they let us know if anything is ever off. They only allow family’s on campus.PROGRAMS: they have monthly virtual wellness and support groups. Each family has a Family Engagement Specialist who checks in frequently to make sure you have everything you need. Ours Ms. Black is outstanding!INCLUSION: they are committed to inclusion and our childrens special needs are respected and uplifted. They have all Early Intervention services right on campus and Ms. Nora is great at communicating.We highly recommend Educare for all DC residents. As a Head Start site, all DC residents are eligible and they hold most spots for folks based on income. So even if you don’t think you’ll get a spot, just apply! We are so glad that we did!!!”
