if I could put 0 stars I would! if you are thinking of using them change your mind fast! i paid off my vehicle loan early and they sent me a gap refund but somehow sent a double refund and now my account is negative and if I hadn't checked it I would never have known! this business is unprofessional and doesn't care about their members regardless of what they try to get you to believe!

Its a roll of the dice when using their card. It works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. I would never rely on there service if you need it. My card wasn't working, so I call the number on the card. its not even a correct number. So I call the 1800 number from the website, they cant find my account number, but can keep charging me a CC bill somehow. There whole system is so messed up. As soon as I can, I'm shutting this account down and will never use them again. I used them as an emergency card, and when I needed it, it was not there.

I have been a member of NASAFCU for over 10 years and I have seen the degradation in their service hands on. Now I am about to pull my money out and go elsewhere. In short, I am not sure I can trust my money in the hands of such incompetent organization. Just as simple as setting your pin on my debt card took 30 minutes and could not resolve the issue. I have spoken to 4 reps and they keep sending me in circles and still not resolved. For all that stay with them, good luck!

One star is too many. Wow, this is the saddest excuse for a credit union I have ever encountered. Nearly three weeks since application for a simple savings account was filed, complete lack of response, and then upon my cancellation request a bogus notice to upload more unnecessary documents. NEVER would I trust this credit union. Please save yourself the pain (read the multiple poor reviews and heed the warnings). Go to Navy Federal or PenFed instead if that's an option.

Horrible customer service I really felt profiled when trying to open a checking and savings account .I was told my application wasn’t approved for a stupid reason but went to two different credit unions ,opened an account with no problem! I will never try and do business with them again.

NASA Federal Credit Union is a nightmare bank. Here's my story. I noticed my savings had a 1.4% money market rate while most banks are 3-5% so I decided to withdraw my funds. The first ACH was rejected because it was not drawn from the correct account. At that point I spoke with a supervisor who suggested I consolidate the funds into my NASA savings account so there would be only one account and therefore, no confusion. He also suggested I send a secure email explaining that AFTER my account balance is zero, to proceed with closing my account. My 2nd ACH for an amount equal to my balance was rejected. This time the reason given by the destination bank was "account closed". Huh? Yes, NASA closed my account PRIOR to my account showing a zero balance, contrary to the my email directions. It gets worse. I contacted NASA and the two supervisors I spoke with apologized profusely and admitted bank error for closing my account prematurely. NASA did not notify me until after the fact that it sent out a check which I have yet to receive for the balance in my account. I asked NASA to stop payment on the check and wire the funds instead. NASA told me that stopping a check is a 30 day process so I'd be worse off. 30 days? What kind of bank is this? Meanwhile, the destination bank that had the two ACH rejections lowered my transfer limit dramatically so it is practically useless. In order to restore the transfer limit, the destination bank required proof that NASA was to blame for the ACH screw-ups. This morning, despite already verbally admitting that NASA was to blame for closing my account prematurely, this morning's NASA supervisor would not put in writing that NASA was at fault. She instead escalated it to a "regional manager". Finally, that regional manager, Chanelle Williams, prepared an email with the supervisor that did NOT explicitly admit fault. Instead the email used the phrase "due to a miscommunication". There was no miscommunication. NASA did not follow a clear written email directive to close my account AFTER my account was at zero balance. NASA's incompetence is one thing. But the lack of integrity is an even more glaring red flag.

A few months ago, we were declined for a savings account and CD because a fraud alert was on my husband's credit, due to identity theft. They didn't even ask for further info, they just declined it. Forward 2 months later, we removed the fraud alert from all the credit agencies. I applied with my husband as joint, sent in all the info they requested, and 26 days later they send me a denial again. For no reason. We are trying to put OUR money into their bank, not asking for a loan. We have a near perfect credit score (840) and never in our life been late on any payments. No reason why they should be denying us. Oh well, no loss. We found another credit union with a higher CD interest rate, and they approved us and had our accounts open and funded within 4 days. NASA obviously doesn't care about our money. They are the only bank/CU who has ever denied us for no reason.

It is not clear on their web site, but they do a hard credit pull for opening a savings account. This is absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary. It is damaging to their potential customers and it is not obvious to new applicants that their credit scores will suffer just to open a savings account. Idiotic.

Terrible horrible credit union. I was pre approved for a credit card with a $16,700 limit .. so I applied.. then told I didn't qualify for a $16,700 limit with my $80,000 + income but only $9,000. .. I said ok since relativity a low rate .. then after a hard pull .. my FICA score was 805 .. I was subsequently denied because I have too much available credit with other credit cards .. although I have no outstanding balances.. seriously?? Bad practices .,

Strangest BAD banking experience I've ever had! You have to apply to open a deposit account and just wait for approval! I'm used to open accounts online at U.S. bank, BofA, Wells, Chase, TD bank and not submit an application! Not wait 1-2 days, waited 8 days, called to check status, then an employee said let me push this forward. Was the application just sitting there? On the 28th day got email saying denied! I'm surprised any NASA employees would take this. Probability of other problems are high....

Submitted an application for membership in order to purchase CD's. They requested the same information from me three times which I dutifully submitted. After several phone calls my application was approved. I set up an account online, which requests I change my password each time I try to log on. After struggling with a rudimentary web site, and that is being generous. I decided to go to a nearby credit union that a relationship with NASA FCU to make a deposit into my new account. Contrary to the information I receives from NASA FCU, I could not directly deposit the money in my recently approved CD account. Instead, I had to deposit the funds in a savings account with a two week hold. The interest promised is not worth all the aggravation, After this experience it's back to Navy Federal, even if the rate is marginally less.

You can only withdraw or deposit no more than 10K a day. That is the restriction and I find that for some reason a lot of banks and credit Unions do this. I was also going to find a CD but there are a lot of bad reviews on this credit Union just denying applications based on fraud alerts.. many people have fraud alerts out there it's to protect themselves

Currently seeking info on opening a couple different accounts. Visited this branch. Was helped by customer service right away, put in queue for help. Waited 15 to 20 minutes. Gentleman came and directed me to his cubicle. Gave me a business card. Took time to answer my questions. Informed me of what the bank has to offer. And answered all my questions. Was a very plesent experience.
