“I want to start by saying that Reid Temple AME played a significant role in a very personal chapter of my life. I came to the church not because I was raised in religion—I wasn’t. I didn’t grow up in the church, and I wasn’t brought up through traditional Christian practices. But something drew me in.

When I chose to get baptized at Reid Temple, it was about more than ceremony—it was about cleansing. It was about releasing hurt, pain, and confusion I had absorbed from people I thought were walking with me. That moment allowed me to reclaim myself and reconnect with the Creator within me.
