Drive thru and ATMs work well. Never had an issue with the staff inside and they are always nice. One of the best NFCUs I've been to.

I retired in 2012. Found a nice home and went to Navy Federal for a loan. They denied me be cause my new job, despite being a job with an $85k salary, was for a government contractor. Lost that house but found another nicer and my agent connected me with PNC who said thank you for your service, here's your loan, and for A FULL % point below what NFCU offered. I hope this is fixed today. PNC should not be more patriotic than NFCU. But, as to today's issue. My truck was totaled because some kid was on a cell phone. NFCU received the check from the insurance company, took almost a week to cash, then sent the lien release..via standard mail and told me they could not do anything for me until it's been 10 days. I can't get my money from the insurance company so I can get a new vehicle till insurance gets the lien. NFCU knows this. In a situation where you know your member is in a bad situation l, trying to save $1.50 to send it priority 1-2 day vice standard is not the right thing for your members. Not to mention until it's all done, NFCU is saying they have to charge me 2.5% more interest than I was paying on the former loan (which is only 2 months old by the way) on a new until this loan shows paid off on my credit report. They won't work with me despite knowing it's going to happen. So I either wait another month for my credit report to clear, or pay an additional $70 per month for the same size loan. NFCU, you can do better for your members. Please fix these issues.

I want to start by saying this is not the branch's fault but I do believe this is a Navy Federal issue. I started a business a while ago and at the time I opened an account with Navy Federal since it was easy. I called a couple of months after opening my account to let Navy Federal that I would no longer need my business account and if they could help me close it. they then went on to explain that I needed to fill out a form that they had to close so I did to my surprise, I did some things wrong and my account was not closed so a year later as I writing this review I got a letter stating that I have insufficient funds on my business account to make sure to pay it so to say I was surprised was an understatement. So I called support and asked why they never closed it a year ago and they stated I did not complete the form correctly that it was my fault and that they sent me an email to an account that to me was closed and I never received anything to my house stating that I needed to complete my application so regardless the rep was really disrespectful and to add salt to the insult the rep then goes on to say he, by the way, pay us the amount and I will close your account today with no regards to this form they had me complete that apparently I got wrong. needles to say I expected more from the Navy Federal but I am extremely disappointed in my experience

Shame on you for removing funds from another account I have when I set up payment. Where does this behavior happen ever??? Then making it difficult to return my funds. So now you’ve doubled dipped and have insinuated you don’t honor autopay. Again, shame on you.

Great bank in general, but I have been pretty disappointed with how this particular location's ATMs have either been down or unable to take deposits for a few weeks now.

SLOW ATMs. Hi NFCU, I just wanna point out that your ATMs are extremely slow at the moment of dispensing cash, in my opinion, ATMs used to work well before, you updated your ATMs software or something. We're talking slow as in : I could go to my car, pick up my phone and go back to the ATM to call nfcu help services to say my card got stuck...

NFCU could not track deposits because the bank lump all desposits on same day into one full amount and NFCU tellers had problems locating deposite amounts. Also, moved money out of pending then place it back in account to clear another item. I never heard of any financial institution moving money in and out of pending just to place it back as not cleared. If I could rate no star I would.

I can no longer use drive thru ATM as its made for vehicles that sit at a truck height. I drive an SUV I shouldn't have to struggle to reach it.

Shannon is amazing. She helped my grandmother and was so patient and emphatic. She took the initiative to be a team player and I absolutely adore people who truly stick to high quality customer service. Please send her, her yams and more. And maybe a bonus ;)Thank you, Shannon. Truly ?

A few years ago I would have rated 5 stars. I don’t know what happened here but the terrible attitudes and annoyance at helping customers is glaringly obvious. Not so long ago my husband and I went in for a small loan- the person helping “us” refused to acknowledge me. Every question I’d ask they turn and give the answer to my husband like he was the one that asked it. I ended up asking why I couldn’t be answered directly- they in turn answered this question to him… again.

I love this bank!! They are on top of their game! ALWAYS! Never have to wait long in the lines! Everyone is always so friendly and professional from the security guard to the tellers!! I’m so glad I don’t have to travel to the Waldorf location!! When I have to call to speak to someone I may have to wait about 5 minutes. Switched everything I could to this bank! Thank you NFCU!

The lack of transparency and communication is astounding. Pretty sure no one is on the same page.

NFCU on the whole is an excellent outfit that I have done business with for 25+ years. This branch, however, needs improvement. ?

Extremely disappointed by lack of transparency. I opened an account on April 1st to cash savings bonds in preparation for a major purchase. Returned the following day and was told new members are limited to $1000 a day for first 30 days...Now 30 days later I am told that new members are limited to $1000 a day for the first 6 months... I asked for their policy in writing and after waiting 20 minutes was handed a printout from the treasury website with the boilerplate: "ask the bank if it will cash your [savings bond]. the answer may depend on how long you've held an account there." Not helpful at all...
