“I just lost my precious dachshund, Rusty. I have to talk of my experience at TLC. Dr. Lucas and I worked together when Rusty was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and later, kidney disease. We walked a tightrope, as Dr. Lucas described it, making medical decisions for both conditions. The heart condition alone usually has a year or less life expectancy. Rusty went on to 1 year and 8 months for me and my baby. In addition, the ladies loved on him sometimes calling him the Rust Man :) I even ended up going to a Vet ER before TLC opened, due to a breathing issue which can occur with the heart condition, and one of these wonderful ladies came and sat with me for several hours when she found out and got off work. I can't begin to describe the wonderful love shown to my boy at TLC. When he passed, there were tears from all, and Dr. Lucas called from his vacation to express his condolences. You will never go wrong bringing your sweet baby to TLC for Pets.”

“The best vet yet. If you’re looking for a facility that cares about your pet this is the best. We called last minute for an emergency and were told to come in to see the doctor. Doctor Parker was transparent with the pros and cons of the surgery. Needless to say he performed emergency surgery on my dog for intestinal mass removal. The surgery was a success and we are grateful to have come across this facility. Everyone is so sweet and welcoming and they are affordable versus other vets who can barely explain what is going on with your pet.”

“We transferred to this office sometime ago after our vet retired. I have been incredibly satisfied with Dr Koelemeyer for several years. He is kind and very knowledgeable! I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Spencer so if we had an emergency we would feel comfortable. 100% satisfied! Dr Spencer is a kind, caring, knowledgeable doctor. I felt like if we wanted to stay all day and ask questions he would have given us his full attention. Dawnell was a stand out. Check-in was seamless, and the checkup went very well. Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. Dr. Wenzel took time to answer all my questions and offered a lot of great info/care tips. Would love to keep going here for primary care for my girl, but it is a great deal of a distance from where I live ? and wish they were closer. “Dr. Rick Paynter has been a true blessing to our family. My wife and I have two one-year-old female kittens — a Ragdoll (mink) and a domestic shorthair — and our experience with him and his team has been outstanding.
At our first visit, we brought in our Ragdoll who was a little underweight. Dr. Paynter took the time to thoroughly assess her, explain everything clearly, and provide us with a thoughtful plan of care. Thanks to his guidance, she is now at a healthy weight and thriving. She is comfortable with Dr. Paynter and his assistants, who handle her with such care and gentleness. We’ll be bringing her back soon for her annual visit with complete confidence.
More recently, our domestic shorthair was diagnosed with feline asthma. The level of attention, patience, and compassion the entire team showed us during this visit was incredibly reassuring. Dr. Paynter even shared insights from his own experiences, which made the conversation feel personal and thoughtful. He gave us an honest, balanced assessment, clearly outlining the pros and cons of medication without any pressure, and encouraged us to take time to discuss our options before making a decision.

Always very happy with the above and beyond service from the vets, the techs, and the front of the house staff who are friendly and helpful every visit. I almost hate referring people to Countryside because they are frequently busy and it can be a challenge to get appointments - although on several occasions now when one of my dogs has an immediate problem they have accommodated us for same-day visits. “YAY! Love this place <3 You will too. Willis, just had his 12 wk check up. He was All ears... This is Our 5th Shepherd now. We would never go anywhere else! Doctor Reiter and her staff are great with Our pets, we have cats also :) The Hospital offers a lot of things including a small boarding kennel. When we vacation Our dogs stay there and are treated like family. Always clean, mostly on time, sick pets take more time, so schedules can run over. That being said, I'd want the doctor to take her time; if it was my sick pet. If you want a Dr. that treats your pets, like she would treat her own, then go to Carrolltown Vet!! Not some BIG corporate place that sees you as a $. And yes, We named Our dog after the Different Strokes Show...."What you talkin bout, Willis?"”

She will call after hours to check on our "boys" and us after an emergency. The entire staff takes care of each patient as though they are their own.
