“I love this practice! They always get me in quickly and the staff is sooo friendly and patient. They went above and beyond for my boyfriends dog Waffles when he got attacked by another dog and injured his leg severely a few years back. I took Waffles in today for the first time myself thinking he would be as chill as he is at home and I was quickly proven wrong - He squirmed and he screamed and he resisted their help, but they made excuses for his behavior for me and understood he is probably pretty traumatized from the place. I'm so thankful my pup can have a nice summer with less allergies now! And I take my own 2 pets there as well, Pez and Ricky, and am always happy with the care! :)”

“Yellow Springs is always welcoming and happy to see our pets. They're very knowledgeable but explain everything in ways that make it easy for pet parents to understand. I feel like they haven't steered us wrong or tried to push anything unnecessary on us, only tried to do what's best for our furry kids. We've been patients for 3 years and will continue to be so. Edit to say we've now had an extensive procedure done and I had complete confidence in the provider/team taking care of my girl. They answered any and all questions I had and checked on us periodically after her procedure to make sure she was okay. Their compassion and expertise really shines in everything they do!”

“I’ve been bringing all my cats here for years. I lost one of my senior cats in 2021 and my 2nd senior cat in January of this year. Both times the staff from the doctors to the office staff were so incredibly compassionate. I never felt rushed, I felt like they gave me all the time in the world to sit with my furbabies and say my goodbyes before, during and after the process. Every one was so kind. I now have a younger cat and 1 remaining senior cat. My younger cat is very anxious and afraid of life. But every time we go in they handle him so well and get him through it. I can’t say enough about the staff. Everyone is incredibly helpful and friendly.”

“I honestly can’t say enough good things about Frederick Veterinary Center. I was a brand-new patient and they were able to get my injured dog in the same day. From the beginning, the treatment was extremely conservative and I never once felt pressured into tests, services, or spending money unnecessarily. Dr. Hooman Pooya was absolutely wonderful. He took so much time explaining everything to me—not just what was going on with my injured dog, but why flea, tick, and heartworm prevention is so important in Maryland, the importance of the leptospirosis vaccine and how it can even spread to humans, and the different prevention options at different price points. He even took the time to talk through options for getting my other dog, who is extremely fearful and skittish, into the office safely and with as little stress as possible. I was actually hesitant to come here at first because there were SO many good reviews, and now I completely understand why. I’m almost hesitant to leave another one because I kind of want to keep this place to myself! I was genuinely blown away by the entire experience and will 100% be bringing my dogs here from now on.”

“We brought our yorkie Reed in last week having just switched vets to see them for the first time. Our dog had been sick and we hadn’t had good experiences at our prior vet and we’re nervous taking him in. Although we didn’t get the news we wanted, they worked with us, made him and us feel comfortable, we’re honest and up front/helped figure out how to make choices moving forward financially and for Reed’s care. We had to sadly put him down today, but the staff are wonderful and made us comfortable during the process. I highly recommend their office for your pet’s needs?”

“Not sure about some of these crappy reviews but I'm the real deal, a local resident of Frederick who didn't worry about price shopping for my sick pet. I called Yellow Springs last Friday morning after being in the ER the night before, Dr K called me back promptly and advised me to come in ASAP. Daisy was there all day, catheterized, given IV fluids and blood work, and diagnosed with pancreatitis. The entire staff stayed late, helped carry my 75 pound dog to my car, and Dr K called the vet at the hospital, sent records and helped navigate my dogs admission. They didn't do all of this for free, but they were efficient, compassionate and quick to help in my time of vet emergency. My sweet girl Daisy is now at home and doing great. Thank you to the entire staff for your help.”

Heads up: the lady Vet gives you a Dog 101lesson before she actually checks on what your dog is there for. Doc Flynn is a very knowledgeable guy. I was very impress above all. I just wish they worse gloves.”

“This was my second time using this pet hospital. You have to wait at first as you arrive and park in order. Someone will walk out of the trailer and ask you questions about your pet and why you are here. They will answer them for you after speaking with a staff member. Clear on the treatment and cost involved. Very reasonable pricing. We brought our Turkish Angora Lady twice now. We had some medication prescribed and for a fair price. The young lady who helped us was very clear, helpful and easy to understand. She answered all questions before we proceeding and explained the meds usage very clear. I wish I remembered her name. But it was late and we have receive great advice explained by employees who truly care. We will always be using this pet hospital as long as we can save some money. Thank you again Boonsboro Veterinary Hospital. Lady is doing well because of your loving and caring staff. I also made a donation because of her great attitude and love for our cat.”

“This vet clinic has been great and we have been going here since 2015. We have had three dogs that have been treated here for yearly checkups, shots and other issues. The Drs and staff have been very friendly and accommodating for every situation that has come up. I even saw the staff care for a squirrel that a customer brought in that was injured in his yard. They are very caring and love all the animals. It is so refreshing to know that they want your loved ones to be healthily and safe as much as you do.”
