“I highly recommend BeFitted! They did an impeccable job altering my strapless wedding dress just 4 weeks prior to my destination elopement. I was so worried to put my trust in anybody given we chose to elope and on such short time, but BeFitted really made the process stress-free. I bought the dress off the rack and it was gapping in the top and I knew the hem needed to be taken up several inches since I'm petite. BeFitted took amazing care of me and my dress. They did a rush alteration and had to take in several inches at the bodice/chest area and take out some of the boning to make it happen. I cannot express how grateful I am to them for the incredible work they did on such short notice. I went ahead with the cleaning and the preservation box and absolutely do not regret it. I felt gorgeous and the top didn't budge the entire day, even on our sunset sail!”

“I have been a client of Jeanhee for more than a decade. Her work is amazing! She has miracle hands. I had a strapless gown with a stole that she transformed into a beautiful jacket. I just picked up a two piece ensemble that had a stubborn stain in the front. I was crushed until I took it to Jeanhee. She redesigned the jacket and took pieces from the sleeves to creatively hide any evidence of the stain on the front of my dress. My dress & jacket are beautiful and I can't wait to wear them! “Mae was wonderful to work with on my suit alteration. I bought a linen suit online and it unfortunately was a bit big on me. I found Fashion Center Alterations on google and thought why not give it a go! I'm headed to California for a wedding, so I needed something to be done quickly.
Upon entering, Mae was very open and welcoming to me! She was able to quickly figure out where I needed alterations just by a glance. I gave her my suit and pants to be ready by May 28th, but she got it done over a week and a half earlier. The speed and precision was astounding and the final product was even better. I've never had a suit fit me as well as this one, and it looks great!
Aside from that, she was the sweetest person ever. My wife and her conversed about being small business owners and she felt like family. Thank you again Tita Mae, we'll be back again soon :)”

“My daughter's prom is approaching and we purchased a beautiful mermaid-styled dress at a bridal shop where it would be altered. They cut the train off and my daughter and I were heartbroken. They reattached it but the seam was highly visible and the nylon tulle underneath was not reattached. Alvin is an angel. He worked a miracle on earth and, now, my daughter is over the moon! When she graduates college, I'm ordering a custom-made dress for her from him. His skills are impeccable. I wish we had ordered one made for prom but I have learned my lesson. I am going to the best from the start and the best is Alvin! Thank you for saving my child's prom!!!!”

“Wedding Gown Specialists just did an Amazing job restoring my mother's 45 year old wedding dress that was stored in a plastic bag for the entire time. It was so yellowed and had stains. I came in almost in tears because we are having my mother's dress made into a First Communion Dress for our daughter and I had no idea how long a restoration could take! I didn't think we could get the dress to the seamstress in time. Barbara was so kind to me and talked me through the process. She understood how much we needed the dress to be restored quickly and with quality to make this new family heirloom. I got the dress back early (3.5 weeks)!! It is so beautiful- looks like new! We will definitely go back for a post-communion cleaning so our second daughter can also use the dress!”

I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at Anthropologie, particularly highlighting the outstanding service I received from Jennifer, located in Georgetown.
After a disappointing experience at the Bethesda and Fairfax locations, where staff refused to assist me with returning a lilac taper candle set of 2 without a receipt, I was feeling quite frustrated. Despite explaining that I had purchased the item from the Georgetown location just a week prior and requesting that they call for my receipt number, I was met with resistance and no resolution.
However, when I returned to the Georgetown store, Jennifer went above and beyond to help me. She not only located my receipt but also confirmed that the other locations had the capability to retrieve receipt numbers from their store. While she mentioned it would take some extra time, it was reassuring to know that a solution was possible.
Jennifer's exceptional customer service made a significant difference in my experience. She was friendly, patient, and truly exemplified what excellent customer care should be. I genuinely appreciate her efforts and will remember the positive interactions I had with her - I think it would add value to Anthropologie if all staff was trained by Jennifer.
In addition to recognizing Jennifer's exemplary service, I would like to suggest that Anthropologie consider updating its return policy. A 30 day return window for customers without receipts would be more accommodating, especially when it's clear that the product has not been used. Additionally, implementing a system for customers to select receipt emails or texts upon purchase, particularly for transactions involving gift cards, would be a helpful improvement. This would prevent situations like mine, where my gift card was discarded after use.
