“The Island Plaza Cleaners are local heroes! After I moved out of a moldy apartment, they were able to get the mold out of my dry clean clothes, including a handmade wool coat I got from my grandma. When I brought the clothes in, they were realistic and upfront with what they were and were not sure they could get the mold out of. They were also very friendly and understanding! In the end, they got the mold out of everything and saved the coat I got from my grandma?
I wish I could provide pictures but I was busy looooossssing my mind?”
“Many machines to pick from, I brought my own detergent just in case I didn't have enough cash. Had decent sized amount of clothes which all fit perfectly into the machines, washed within 20ish minutes, and put in dryer for 30ish minutes. They have a change machine, restroom, and chairs to sit at. I'll be coming back here for future washes.”
“I love doing my laundry here! The employees are polite and very helpful. Earlier today, the associate noticed that my dryer wasn't heating properly. She checked the machine, explained what was wrong and asked me to switch to another machine; she then immediately reimbursed me what I had paid.
There are comfortable waiting areas, television and free parking.”

“Best dry-cleaner in all of DC. The gentleman who runs this operation does it fully solo and never, ever misses a beat. Turns drop-offs into pick-ups in the blink of an eye.
Clothing comes back immaculate and perfectly hung. I have taken in several high-end articles of clothing to be tailored and repaired and each has returned to me looking exactly as they did when I bought them.
The owner is extremely helpful when I visit him what feels like twice a week. I always have my frisky, nosy dog with me and am dropping off a dozen items as well as picking up a dozen more. He helps me carefully contain the fresh laundry into my bag and is always impeccably patient and efficient.
Did I mention the affordability for this quality is a wonder of the world? The first few times I used these services my jaw actually dropped.

“This is less expensive than a laundromat that is closer to me. $3.25 for a small/medium sized washer machine, $6 for a bigger machine. All machines are speed queens which are indestrucible. The dryers are $0.25 per 10 minutes. The place is very clean, there is a vending machinw with a variety of snacks and drinks. It is a narrow space but there are ample machines. The attendants are very kind and friendly and will assist you if you need it.”

“There are plenty of quarter operated washers and dryers, in multiple sizes. The place is clean, and there's decent amount of parking (some around the side). There are restaurants and a grocery store nearby if you are hungry while you wait. They also offer drop off services.”
