Oakland Motel is a nice, clean, and no-frills place with spotlessly clean rooms. It is a great family-run motel with lovely, extremely clean rooms that have fairly modern updates. The owner and staff work very hard, going above and beyond to make stays welcome, pleasant, and memorable. The motel is right in the heart of Oakland and within walking distance of activities. It offers great rates and last-minute availability. Rooms are cozy and may have decorative themes. They include a kitchen sink area with a coffee maker, microwave, and fridge. The front desk is often closed, so check-in involves calling a number to receive a key or a door code. There is no breakfast or coffee service at the desk. The safety of staying is important to the staff. It is a definite recommendation.
Clean and quiet. An easy walk to the diner. The electric door lock worked great and was easy to use. Folks were friendly for check in and any time we had questions.
