“We arrived at this hotel after checking out early from another hotel after an unpleasant experience. This hotel was just what we needed. Friendly staff upon arrival, rooms clean and super spacious. The beach is a block away. And complimentary breakfast is great. Thanks for saving the rest of our little vacation!”

“The room had recently been updated and was very clean, even the carpeting. The bed was comfortable and the linens clean. Even though the hotel was close to a busy road, the traffic noise was not noticeable once the door was closed. The only downside, which might bother some people, but not me is the bathtub was not part of the renovation and severely showed it age.”

“Stayed here for Oceans Calling. Knew from the moment we checked in it would be a great stay. The front desk staff was cheerful and gave us some local food recommendations. Easy walking distance from the festival, rooms were quiet and bed was comfy. Couldn’t ask for much more and hope to get to stay here again for next years festival.”

“Not your typical aloft room design (IYKYK) which is very refreshing. Very comfortable room with a bay view. A not so comfortable sofa bed where you can feel the frame thru the think mattress which is on par. Hotel shares a parking lot with some other businesses. A $20 parking fee with designated parking for guests. Overall a decent hotel stay that I would stay at again.”

“Centrally located with eateries within just a couple of feet away. 3 min walk to the beach. About 7 min drive to the boardwalk. Pharmacies and supermarkets nearby as well. This specific hotel is a lot smaller than most in other states, but still offering the same great amenities. Rooms are small with no closet/microwave. We stayed in a standard room with 2 queen size beds. Pool is also smaller but has a great lounge area, walls of glass overlooking the city and a balcony with water views. Breakfast was plentiful, very clean facility keeping in mind they allow pets. Plenty of parking in front, rear and sides. Friendly front desk service.”

“Mom and I love staying at Park Place whenever we stay in OCMD , but today they went above and beyond. Mom told them she was down for rest after Dad went to Heaven and they brought flowers to her room. ❤️??”

“Very nice hotel! Older but well kept. Location, staff awesome.Only minor complaint was some hairs in bathroom when we arrived and after room service otherwise clean. Parking could be enforced as small vehicles supposed to park in garage and vehicles in no parking tow zone not towed. Need more of the front spots as handicap parking. We have a van with handicap plates and had to park in garage. All minor things, we really enjoyed our stay! Ice cream shop and coffee shop really overpriced! Pizza shop and restaurant for breakfast not bad.”

“Rented this as a last minute trip to Bike Week 2025. Room was worth it . Could see the bikes drive by from the balcony we were on the 5th floor. Kids enjoyed both the roof top pool and indoor pool as well has the shallow private beach area. The only thing I didn't Like was the water pressure in the bathroom to take showers and it didn't get really hot. Other than that enjoyed our stay and will consider booking again next year but with a Bayside view. Staff was very friendly. Kitchenette only has 2 burner cooktop I had to bring a toaster oven a couple pots from home cause they only had 2 pots in the room and one was too small for my family's needs”

“This hotel is the nicest hotel we have ever stayed at in OC, MD. Our room was spotless and loved the ocean front room. I have several pros and cons for this particular hotel and they are as follows.
Pros: The incredible staff. Everyone is so nice and always acknowledge us and ask us if we needed anything We had an incident where our air conditioner quit working. We went to the office and were greeted by two of the nicest women who went out of the way to help us. I believe Darrin is the lady who came to our room to check the thermostat which was no longer working. She said she would report it and have someone come in the morning to see what the problem was. Darrin left our room and came back shortly after with a fan to help keep us cool for the night. She offered us an apologia for the inconvenience for not being able to move us to another room as the hotel was full. Now for the cons:
Cons: The next morning my husband went to the front desk to inquire about a maintenance person coming to fix the ac. He was greeted by a Mrs. Gibbs who was rude and very nasty to him and insinuated that we somehow caused the air conditioner to freeze up. She also said we needed to leave it alone and didn't have any idea when the repairman would be there. Lucky for us he came early that morning and spent a few hours working on the ac and told us the problem was the thermostat had burned up and he replaced it. We told him how we were treated by this Mrs. Gibbs and what she had said. He showed us the thermostat and said it was in no way our fault that it was an old one and sooner or later they all need to be replaced. We never received an apology from this rude woman or even a check to see if everything was ok. You can tell she has no respect for the customers or her employees.
I would like to mention also how very nice Barbara was when we returned the fan. She ask us if the ac was running and if we were cool enough. We stayed at this hotel from Sunday to Friday and we loved everything about the hotel. When we checked out early Friday morning we were greeted by Denise another extremely helpful employee. She asked us how are stay had been and we told her we would be returning for a longer stay next summer. The entire staff is wonderful and hard working. They make this hotel a pleasure to stay. I do feel sorry for those who have to work with this rude and nasty person who claimed to put so much money into this hotel leading us to believe she must be the owner. I think a smile and a pleasant attitude towards the customers and the employees would be appreciated by all. You're only as good as the people around you. They can make or break you. Having said all this we look forward to our vacation next summer and hope that we will be greeted with the same happy customer service we received this year. Thank you Darrien, Barbara and Denise your the best.
Tony and Teresa”

“Not right to charge resort fee to pay for amenities and because we had service dog we got no room services but great Audrey front desk services breakfast ok and bar beautiful upstairs bit food pricey very dog friendly and hot tub needs to be more hot otherwise since my dad helped put elevators in I love this memories place”

“Over view: This place was an absolute gem. This place is for people looking to enjoy the beach and definitely not for rowdy partiers. The rooms are roomy and small, but everything is clean and works. So Essentially, you are getting what is described.

Pros: Cleanliness, location, staff, balcony view, private parking, nice bed, great water pressure, clean room, great room security.

Cons: Just small things: The shower curtain is not waterproof, you hear everything going on at the boardwalk, the sink is outside of the bathroom, it is an older building so everything is steps.

Rooms: The rooms are small, and you get what you paid for, there is no safe, but the rooms are locked, the lamps and lighting works, the toilet flushes and the shower has great pressure. Also, the floor is clean, that can’t be said about many hotels.

Safety: Even though the doors are always open, because of the kind of clientele rooming nearby, I didn’t feel unsafe or afraid In any way.

Walkability: You are right in the middle of everything, so when you step outside, you are a few blocks away from the amusement park.”

“Overall the Monte Carlo was a good place to stay. Right on the boardwalk and has a cool Crepe Cafe on the first floor at the boardwalk. Only negative for us was the mattress was very uncomfortable so we did not get much quality rest.”

“Right on the boardwalk which is nice and convenient. Three pools, we used the indoor one the most. The only inconvenience was the one elevator didnt work all the time.”

“The stuff were nice and the rooms are soooo clean and it’s so close to the boardwalk, highly recommend this place! However the shower pressure needs to be improved but rather than that it’s very nice experience!”

“Overall a good motel, although we were on the first floor (which was great for our bags) we did have extremely loud upstairs neighbors. I wish the hotel had a listed quiet curfew. Overall staff was friendly and fantastic”

“Have been staying here for 10+ years. The staff is friendly and the rooms are quaint. There is no better place on the boardwalk that has better access to the tram and the beach.”

“Room was nice. Stayed in a suite had a pull out couch bed and a tv in that room and 2 queen beds in the bedroom with a tv. The setup was nice and no noise from anyone else staying there. Shower didn't have the best pressure. No smoking or vaping in the hotel or on the balcony which confused me as why there was no smoking or vaping on the balcony but overall it was a cozy place to rest our heads.

The service at the desk was friendly and quick.

The location kind of sucked since it's on 120th st but at the same time we knew that when we booked it so ?‍♀️I mean even though it was farther away from most stuff in the city it was very close to the beach we also had a restaurant on the 1st floor of the hotel called the original crabcake factory which we did not end up eating at but there was a lot of business there so it must have been good.

So other than the location being far away from everything no major complaints about this place. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone going with kids or family that want peace and quiet at night because there is little night life this far up which makes it an ideal spot for families.”

“We celebrated our 26th anniversary there this week and we loved our stay. We will be back again. The staff was real friendly and the beach on the property is what did it for us as well as the view of the water.”

“The room was wonderful. 100 ft from the boardwalk. It was a beautiful and large room with a nice bathroom. Me and my dog stayed in the room and we loved it. I would recommend safari motel to anyone who would like a nice room close to the boardwalk. JerryRooms: The room was spacious.Food & drinks: Many restaurants nearby.”

“Staff was excellent! Kind and knowledgeable about the area. Location couldn’t be beat. View was better than expected as we had a side view room. Loved our sweet little balcony!”

“We had the room with the jet tub… The fireplace did not work to set the mood but that was minor. The tv only had 5 stations and Netflix did not work and the hotel did not know when the network would be fixed. I’m not a fan of carpet floors but yes the floors need some renovation. Breakfast was exactly complimentary and it’s ok your choice to eat in, but I was not happy with the brown and serve sausage. I choose to eat out my 4 day stay. Location is perfect near stores and restaurants and about 10 min ride to the boardwalk.”

3.3 Good98 Reviews

“It is an economy motel. The room was basic but acceptable. It was clean and the location was actually prime. Walk across the street to boardwalk. Restaurants and shopping close by. Desk clerk was very pleasant. No frills but a reasonable place to stay.”

“Loved it here! Old-fashioned charm & character. I loved my oceanfront corner room with four windows that opened and had screens... slept to the sound of the waves each night and enjoyed the sunrise every morning. The front porch with rocking chairs was a great place to have coffee in the morning- so I didn't even miss not having a coffee maker in my room. The bathroom was a bit small and dated but certainly sufficient for my needs. The staff were so friendly, always with a smile and hello. All the public areas were constantly being cleaned during my stay- they really put a lot of effort into ensuring it's kept fresh & clean and that did not go not unnoticed. The common room with tables, chairs, couches etc is simply beautiful! I liked that the front desk is staffed 24/7 and the side and back door locked late at night. The parking lot could get filled quickly and the overflow lot is a bit far and requires crossing a street, which could be a bit dangerous at times. The pool was a real treat but I noticed it did not seem to have any handicap access. I was happily surprised to find a small laundry room on site and went home with clean clothes!”

“Sarah at the front desk has been working here for several years, and she definitely knows her stuff. It is best to go to the office during their normal office hours for best of service. The oceanfront tower is definitely better than the other towers because of its location on the boardwalk and beach front view. I booked a trip during labor day Weekend. The staff is very professional and you can tell that they really go the extra mile.”

“We had a wonderful 2 night stay here. Reasonably priced, comfortable beds, spacious rooms and great location. Our 5th floor room had a peakaboo view of the beach, with a great little balcony.”

“My stay was great..and all of the receptionist was nice..I’m only giving 4 stars because the rooms need to be updated and they are doing renovations so they woke me up at about 8:45am from the banging..the view was great..I had the bay view king suite..the club across from my room gets pretty loud at night but not so much that you can’t get sleep..sheets were clean and the room was clean as they could get it..they have no bugs which I love because it’s rare that you find a cheap hotel without bed bugs..will visit again after they finish renovations, they said they should be done in time for summer.”
