So far we really like this place. Yes we did pay a deposit but it was applied to our bill and the prices were reasonable.

I absolutely love this place. One of my rescue pitties is very anxious with vets due to a terrible experience with one when she was a puppy. Although both of my dogs go to the humane society for vaccinations, I needed a local vet for sick visits. The first vet that I used would drag my already anxious dog into a different room away from me for exams and treatment. She would come back so much more nervous and anxious that she would literally have diarrhea. Recently at only 5 years old, she had been listless, gaining weight, losing hair, etc. The previous vet just said her white count was a little elevated and told me that she might have leukemia ?. When she stopped putting weight on one of her hind legs, the humane society recommended Valley Dog & Cat. Dr. Morgan was amazing!! She took her time sitting with my dog on the floor so that she could get used to her, while talking to me about her issues. She was able to quickly assess that she had a skin infection, yeast infection and ear infection likely due to her bad allergies (white pittie problems)and all without removing her from the room. Although concerned that she may have an ACL tear, she sent me home with ear drops, doggie NSAIDs, antibiotics, anti fungal foam and allergy medicine. Within days she was moving around much better. Within 2 weeks, she was putting weight on her leg, had lost some weight (fluid apparently), and was running around the house like she was a puppy again. Her hair stopped shedding horribly and she is so much happier. I think that they saved my dog’s life. The office staff was also friendly, accommodating and so very sweet. I look forward to them caring for my pups for years to come. Definitely deserving of more than 5 stars.

The staff at Valley Dog and Cat Hospital are amazing. From the front desk to the veterinarian’s everyone is very kind and professional. They are especially patient with my less than sweet dog Ace. I would 100% recommend this practice.

We are fairly new patients and are not happy so far. I reached out because my dog had some scabs on her heels and I was told to send an email with pictures and the doctor would call me back. A week later, after not hearing from them, I called again and was told that another note would go on the doctors desk and I would receive a call that day. A few days later, after no response, I sent an appointment request through the portal and never received a response or call. I called again because now the scabs are open sores and shared my experience with not receiving a call about my pet's situation after reaching out multiple times and she needs to be seen right away. I was given an appointment for over a week later, no accountability from the person who answered the phone, but rather a flippant attitude. When I asked what we should do for our dog in the meantime until the appointment and she suggested I use an e-collar to deter my dog from licking at the wounds. REALLY???? That is your suggestion? To shock my dog when she licks her wounds????? The only reason I don't find another vet is because my dog has some anxiety issues and introducing her to different vets is not the best thing for her. Otherwise we would not be returning.

I love the care that my cat receives here. The staff is great and genuinely love animals. Dr Morgan will take the time to explain anything about the care, advice or treatment that is advised.

For the last seven years I brought my cat to Valley Dog and Cat Hospital for all of his needs. He was FIV+, a senior, and a rescue with an unknown history. Dr. Scherr and Dr. Morgan were always available to answer my questions and to help with anything Malloy and I needed. They helped manage allergies, stomach issues, ear infections, and a persistent cold. Malloy was always treated well by the doctors and the techs -- everyone was happy to see Malloy every time he came in for a visit. Recently I had to euthanize Malloy due to a fast acting cancer. The entire staff was understanding and kind -- very patient and personable throughout that entire process. I received a very kind note from everyone in the office and the company they partner with for cremation and memorabilia was professional and quick.Within the last two years I also welcomed a puppy into my home and the entire staff has been just as accommodating and helpful with a dog as they were with my cat. I strongly recommend the puppy program they offer so that you can make as many "worried parent" visits to the vet as needed!Five out of five stars, and then some. I recommend Valley Dog & Cat Hospital to everyone I know and not a single person has ever had a bad thing to say about the place. Thank you to all of the vets, techs, and behind the scenes workers who help make this office as wonderful as it is.

I have taken all my pets to Valley Dog & Cat Hospital, up to and including my current dog. They have always provided the best care for my pets and you can tell that they genuinely care for the animals they treat and are empathetic to the owners, even during tough situations like having to put a pet down. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Baltimore area for the best care for their pets.
