“I have been going to Lockett’s for a couple of years doing some major maintenance (100k tune up) and other standard car maintenance and brakes. Always honest and they stand by their work. Recently had a water pump replaced as it was going bad. After bringing the car home, there was a coolant leak near the repair. An o-ring caused it and Lockett fixed it immediately. Things like this happen and it’s the overall integrity that’s important.

You’ve been providing trusted care repair/maintenance service to us personally for about 20 years on multiple vehicles. I don’t know where the time goes but it goes. My son was a toddler when we were first referred to your shop and now he’s 21 ?. Time and Time again, you have never let us down. Never. And I don’t say that lightly. At the time, the team was headed by Larry and your Master mechanic Dan (I believe) and they were the epitome of a trusted team who did great work and it looks like they’ve passed the baton exceptionally well!!

We’ve had multiple times of major work done here from (our very first experience there was engine repair) and also regular yearly maintenance/minor repairs(oil changes, brake service, battery replacement, and tune ups) etc. and after each time, our cars not only ran like new but the life of the vehicles extended well beyond its time. You guys trustfully and responsibly price compare parts which is greatly appreciated these days when anything is overly expensive. You make sure to put special focus if cars need major work done and additionally provide a quick day turnaround for minor/yearly maintenance service.

Based on some of the Google reviews, we definitely aren’t specially treated. Your team clearly extend that to EVERYONE as any decent and credible business should. But if someone in the comments had a less than 4 star experience, please give them one more chance to right it. “If you're reading reviews trying to find an honest and skilled mechanic, you can stop scrolling. SERGE IS YOUR GUY.
This man is professional yet also personable, patient and kind. He goes out of his way to accommodate you, and makes difficult car situations so much less stressful. I called around 9am, asking if he could squeeze in a state inspection for a car we were coming into town to test-drive. We were coming from Frederick and wanted to have the car inspected and looked over before purchasing. Not only did he squeeze us in, he was able to do so earlier than anticipated. Serge was friendly and agreed to look over the car in general and let us know if he would recommend for purchase, apart from the inspection. He went above and beyond by telling us several things that we would never have known if we had not brought it to him, both good and bad. He did not charge us extra for this personal assessment and even advised us how much to offer on the car we wanted to purchase. Furthermore, this man is PATIENT. I called him back no fewer than 5 times within the hour to ask questions re: tag and title, state inspection report and other things and he remained kind and helpful. I had squeaky brakes and another shop quoted me at $1100 because they said I needed new brakes, rotors, calipers, piston press etc… I took my car here and they said the brakes were fine they just needed some lubricant and minor adjustments. Haven’t heard any squeaking since and saved around $1000. This shop’s honesty is refreshing in a world where everyone is just trying to squeeze every penny they can out of you. Highly recommend.”

“My experience here was absolutely astounding. I was involved in a rear end hit and run and I wanted to have my vehicle checked for the safety of my 18 month old daughter. I had called around to a few different places and wasn’t able to get in until next week.I called and spoke with Mike who told me to come in as soon as I could. Upon arrival I was pleasantly greeted and my vehicle was taken back immediately. The technician Logan did a full inspection of my vehicle, he did advise me that I will be needing brakes in the near future. Being a single mom it’s hard to find a place that will not nickel and dime you for every little thing. “I like the convenience and availability of the service. I don't like the fact that you have to drive over a hole in the ground for an oil change and wait for the associate to tell you when to stop. It would good to also provide clearly marked spots on the walls and floors or even use an electronic sign like in a car wash, i.e., red for stop, yellow caution and green go. The last time I was there I was yelled at and told that I nearly drove into the hole. In addition, the garage was very noisy since cars were serviced in each bay. The technicians were yelling back and forth. My tech waited for some time for a part since only certain associates could hand out parts. I tried to get my tires rotated and my tech asked someone and they quickly said "no". It would be an enhancement to display an electronic menu before you enter the garage of the available services. I didn't like so many people running around the car. I felt like I should not be in the garage. My tech was very knowledgeable but was extremely tired. It seemed the workers may be over-worked.”

“The Staff was and is excellent! I recently just got my first car. Its a used car but new to me! I had a bad with Mr.Tire down the street and my Mother suggested that I use Jiffy Lube because she has always had an excellent job done to here with all the cars that she had! I came in and all three employees treated me and my Mother with respect. They broke everything down to me from suggestions for the type of oil I should use down to explaining everything I needed to come back to fix soon and I could come back and get everything done over the next few weeks. Only thing I forgot to ask was for them to rotate my tires but I will get that done next Month when I go in to get the last 3 or so things done.
