“I first came to this shop because they were one of the few places locally that can order and install continental tires, which i really prefer on my car. They ended up doing brake work for me and did a great job at a reasonable price. I have a background in cars and i historically do my own work, but with my job becoming more demanding i have passed most of it to this shop. They have never asked me to fix something that hasn't needed it, they do quality work, and the prices here are fair. I think Mark, the owner cares a lot and will provide his honest opinion when requested.”
“I have been a customer of this business since 2020 and I cannot recommend them enough. They have taken care of me through two different Subys and I know I can always trust what they say. They don’t price gouge and they are very friendly and willing to explain things to me even when I’m embarrassed to admit I don’t know jack about cars? “A great experience! I needed something done to pass MD state inspection and Sarah was super helpful on the phone right away. Weirdly, because of the time I had considering work schedules, I was able to drop off my car and pick up my car--all done over the phone. They did an awesome job on my car and did NOT overcharge, which is truly beneficial for what I needed. Many times I get taken advantage of being a woman at auto repair shops. Not this one. “I found Hillen Tire and Auto Service by happenstance just when I needed them.I had a bad experience with another local mechanic and was feeling less than optimistic about finding someone reputable and reliable to help me navigate the repairs on my car that the other place recommended as “critical”.After doing my due diligence of calling multiple places for quotes and reading reviews, I found Hillen simply by driving by it.I called for a quote on a Friday. The staff at Hillen was knowledgeable and friendly and I decided to make an appointment with them for the following Monday based on our phone conversation. I’m so happy I did.After replacing 4 tires for $300 less than the other place wanted to charge, Brian, the owner, personally walked me through the list of items the other mechanic had given me and told me what repairs were actually necessary for my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek.(And whoever wrote in the reviews that the owner was attractive wasn’t lying!)But Brian’s good looks, while noteworthy, are not the focal point here. What I most wish to convey in this review is the transparency and the integrity that I witnessed with Brian and the staff at Hillen. They were kind, knowledgeable, professional and courteous.I actually felt seen and heard when I expressed my concerns. Brian took the time to explain everything to me and I left reassured that my car was in fact safe to drive and that I didn’t need a lot of the “suggested” repairs the other place listed as critical.So if you have been struggling to find an honest (attractive) team of humans who are going to tell you straight up what you need and who aren’t trying to just make a dollar off of you, and who do a great job, Hillen is your place.I left the 1st mechanic in tears. The mechanic explained to me it was my left tire that was low in air and helped me right away.Today, I went to them for a full synthetic oil change. Everyone was kind and caring. “The shop was very efficient and ran smoothly. They had several cars in line and yet did my oil change in 30 minutes or less. All bays were in use and all staff engaged. They were very attentive when I arrived and immediately acknowledged me and asked what I needed done. The general manager (Cee) was very welcoming and friendly. I had no issues using my coupon and communication was on point. Cee told me I would need an engine filter next time and did not try to up-sell me on other things. He told me they topped off fluids and the air in my tires. He even told me how much air they put in and that their policy is to top off any fluids or air for the next 3000 miles at any Jiffy Lube! I will be back and would absolutely recommend them.”

Had every opportunity to upcharge me for an additional set of calipers but didn’t and that speaks volumes.Haven’t found a mechanic this honest in Washington so maybe I’ll just need to make a trip up here when I need work done.”

“The folks at Jiffy Lube are fast, friendly and give great service at a decent price. I'm going to use today's visit as an example. Before they started working on my car one of the technicians approached me and said that my oil change wasn't due for 800 more miles and asked if they should proceed. As it turns out I have an emission inspection due so I said yes, please go ahead. But asking if I really wanted their service? Who does that? When they come to me and tell me they've found a correctable problem I know that they're being honest. They've earned my trust, time and again. Today was just another example. Thanks Jiffy Lube.”

“My experience here was absolutely astounding. I was involved in a rear end hit and run and I wanted to have my vehicle checked for the safety of my 18 month old daughter. I had called around to a few different places and wasn’t able to get in until next week.I called and spoke with Mike who told me to come in as soon as I could. Upon arrival I was pleasantly greeted and my vehicle was taken back immediately. The technician Logan did a full inspection of my vehicle, he did advise me that I will be needing brakes in the near future. Being a single mom it’s hard to find a place that will not nickel and dime you for every little thing. Mike was able to get me a quote for brakes that I will be able to afford within the time frame I need them done by. I have found my forever shop. Thank you gentleman.”
