“Say Yes for Less provided a lovely experience for me and my mom during my wedding dress search. Their lowest priced dresses ($1,100) were a bit higher than what I was hoping to spend, but having visited five other stores previously and not finding many options, I was willing to spend a bit more to get what I wanted. The associate I worked with helped me find a wedding dress that checked all the boxes on my wish list. It was nice to buy a new dress off the rack so I could keep it at home in the months leading up to the wedding as opposed to waiting for one to be shipped.
I also had my dress alterations done at Say Yes for Less. They charged me a flat fee of $600 cash for all the alterations. The seamstress and shop owner who worked with me made sure my concerns with my dress were addressed. I was a bit disappointed that the straps on my dress couldn’t be tightened further (they kept slipping due to my posture), but their suggestion of using fashion tape helped keep the straps up for most of my wedding.
Overall, I would recommend Say Yes for Less to other brides looking for a wedding dress.”

“I had a great experience with this bridal shop! It was my 3rd store and I knew I was going to be a tough client, I had a low budget and my wedding was only 3 months out. My stylists was amazing! She pulled everything she possibly could and even let us look through the racks ourselves (I went with my mom and sister). She was extremely patient with me and my indecisiveness and offered her opinion when I looked to her for additional advice. She also made sure it would be possible to have alterations done in time for my wedding before I even made a purchase. “I had a great experience with Rosalin's Bridal Boutique! I was looking for a particular dress that I saw online, which they did not have, but they carried the designer, so they ordered one for me to try on. I liked it, but they showed a different dress by the same designer that I liked even better. I am a plus size, and it was in stock, so they worked with me even late at night to get the dress ordered before the price changed. The only problem I had was that there was a mixup with the shipping of the dress, but that was the designer's fault, not Rosalin's. There was still plenty of time for the alterations. The alterations person was very nice and did exactly what I wanted with the dress. Would highly recommend.”
“WE LOVE THIS PLACE!! My sister booked the appointment for me because we are definitely on a budget and it had great reviews. We booked it seven months out from the wedding to give ourselves time to shop around. But WE FOUND THE DRESS! Not only that, but we had a FANTASTIC experience with Missy. She was so sweet and truly considered what I wanted. She pulled dresses I never would have thought would have worked but did, and helped me thoroughly understand the ways they could be altered to fit my personal style. “I had a really wonderful experience at Lovely Bride in DC in May of 2024 - my stylist Sydney was so warm and welcoming.
This was my first appointment ever and I came in with a few nerves and Sydney quickly helped me feel so comfortable. She listened to my likes and dislikes and brought out some really beautiful dresses.
Lovely has such a wide array of dresses in all different styles and sizes and I found that the 90 minutes was a perfect length of time to figure out what I liked and disliked. I will 100% recommend Lovely to any DC brides I know!”

“Lola is an expert at what she’s doing. Not only she knows her stuff, she’s also considerate of the bride’s concerns and questions and try her best to answer everything clearly and professionally. The way she quickly pinpoint every little detail of the dress to be able to give the best outcome as possible is phenomenal. I am a type A bride so I thought of every question and detail I could be doing/changing with the dress before going to the first appointment and to my surprise, she mentioned them all before I even thought to ask. Lola carefully pinned the dress to the length we want which will only touch the floor and it flows nicely when I walk (see the picture below). She also recommended the kind of bustle that will look best with my dress, shape wear to use, to changing the comb on my veil to metal comb instead of plastic, tighten my sleeves a little bit for a better fit, etc. It took us about 4 appointments for the dress to fit me perfectly (she’s always mindful of when the dress should be done ever since we started) and I loved every single one appointment with her. She’s extremely a joy and pleasure to work with. And her price is extremely reasonable. Do yourself a favor and get your wedding dress to Lola!”
“I always go to Meis for alterations! I order a lot of things used from The Real Real and she always tailors them to fit perfectly in short order. I’ve actually taken her dresses that the alterations people at Nordstrom tried to tell me could not be altered to fit how I wanted —and she fixed with no issue at all much more reasonable price.
Always call first before going by in case someone is there for a bridal appt since they are a small shop. I most recently took my “reception” dress from my elopement with less than a week to go and she made it happen for me at a super reasonable price. So many compliments! Thank you guys!”
