“Long story short here . I needed to retrieve a key from a defunct lockbox for one of my listings . Make no mistake those things are built not to be broken open . It took two guys 30 Mins to pry it open for me using bars and wrenches . And they did it all with a great attitude. This place and team are the absolute best .”
“I feel lucky to have such a nice hardware store in the neighborhood. The staff are friendly, so knowledgeable, and it feels like they’re really invested in my issue/experience. In bigger stores, I’m often walking around for ages trying to find someone to help me. And when I do find someone in the bigger stores, they don’t have much experience with the products so I end up trying to navigate many options with no guidance. I feel confident in my selections and the value of the products I’m purchasing after visiting McLean Hardware.”

“Awesome Job! I purchased the tune up packages for my old riding mower (wouldn't start) and my snow blower (sat around way too long with old gas which gummed up the carb). Used the pickup and delivery service as well, everything is running great. Really appreciate the quality work, well worth the cost!”
“My experience with Ace Hardware is solely from where I grew up in CT. This is a lot different, in a better way (I guess that’s a subjective thought). I was “used to” an unorganized place full of actual hardware from a-z as well as a lot of indoor/outdoor paint and a paint mixer. In short, I was used to Ace hardware being targeted at real handymen in the midst of a project and in need or something very specific.This store is like “a little of everything” for every part of your apartment. It’s walkable from a lot of apartments around here, and it sells all sorts of things you might need in your apartment (you don’t need to be a handyman or hardcore DIY-er to find a bunch of useful things). A huge variety of things you might need in a pinch. Granted, most are really overpriced, but I wouldn’t complain because it’s all about convenience and location. If you complain about the prices, go ahead and drive into Virginia, lose an hour of your day and walk up and down a huge store. Overall, the convenience and variety in this store is worth slightly higher prices. Nice people, as well.”
“They had the plants I wanted! I got some great plants, albeit a bit pricier than a nursery. All were healthy, well cared for, and beautiful. I'm glad I stopped. They are the only nursery that had the exact plants I wanted.”

“I couldn't match up a replacement hose and fittings online, gave Colliflower a try. Gabe was able to make 2 replacement hose assemblies and have me on my way in less than 10 minutes. Way better quality than the OEMs and reasonably priced. Really happy to find this place.”
“Harbor Freight is what it is: adequate tools at cheap prices. Retired mechanic who had over $60k in tools and box speaking here, so I might know a thing or two about tools. However, you just can't beat the prices for tools that will get the job done around the house, but they definitely aren't for professional/heavy-duty use. There are plenty of videos and stories online of their impact sockets literally exploding, so foretold is forewarned. BTW, Home Depot and Lowes tools aren't much better and are much more expensive regarding hand tools.”
“I called to confirm an online order I had placed with Ace and reached Jonathan who was the super helpful in coordinating delivery of an assembled Weber grill to my daughter’s home on the occasion of my son-in-law’s birthday. It was all rather short notice and Jonathan took the time to confirm all the details necessary for a quick delivery in time for the big day, and actually got it there ahead of schedule! “This is a huge store, & I am just referring to the regular store not the attached equipment rental area. I was here on a weekday morning, & I saw employees everywhere I looked. I never had a problem finding someone to ask for help from. I recommend this Home Depot for all your seasonal decorations & your home improvement, fixit and related maintenance items. There is also a nice, large and clean men's restroom. The Christmas decorations you can get here are awesome & more than enough to decorate both the inside & outside of your home in the spirit of the season. If you are looking for a good sale they are in every department of the store. There was clearance in the gardening department and winter hand warmers on sale at the entrance. The parking is convenient and right in front of the store. I buy new tools and supplies from this store, or through my rep and pick it up from here. I also bring tools for service as well.”
