Beautiful with the outdoor feel while being covered indoors in case of bad weather, a great team that's easy to work with, and ample free, close parking. The open layout also lends itself really well to a fundraising event.”

“My wife and I went to see the band America here last weekend. It's the first time we had been here and we both were thoroughly impressed with all aspects of the Hall. Parking was easy to find and getting into the Hall was simple. Once in, we purchased wine, snacks and America merchandise all before the concert started.....and the inside the hall was spectacular. We bought tickets in the front row of Orchestra Center and we are so glad we did. We could see and hear everything perfectly. If you can afford it, I believe it was a much better experience because of how close we were. Having said that, the Hall was very intimate and I believe sits 1600 so I think no matter where you sit it's a great experience. All of the staff at the Hall were extremely nice and helpful. The venue is definitely worthy of a 5 star rating. After the show we walked just down the street to a sports bar and had some delicious sliders and watched the world cup on large screen TVs.”

I can barely get her to leave at the end of the day because she is having so much fun! Mrs B and her team do an amazing job making the kids feel adored! They know my daughter’s name when she walks in and always make her feel welcomed. They do so many fun crafts, play dress up, eat fun treats, and do some light-learning on manners that is very age appropriate and made fun! “I found this Art gallery Art Barn on the AARP App. AARP is not just for seniors. It's located in an affluent neighborhood of Kentlands. It is very quaint, and they provide classes and events for families and school-age kids but be prepared to pay a hefty fee for events of your choosing. For example, I wanted to sign up for the ceramics class and it's $176 for residents and $200 for non-residents, no judgment it's probably well worth it when you think of the supplies, etc., They're currently featuring new local artists and they are some talented artistsThe staff is friendly. Oh, be prepared to wear a mask when you attend their events because it's a very close quarter.Thanks, guys you were very welcoming and nice to me. I looking forward to being back on 2/26 to attend the reception to meet all the artists who are showcasing their artwork now.”

“The American Legion Post 139 went above and beyond in hosting our US Coast Guard Cyber Unit’s holiday gathering! The entire venue was welcoming, and the staff were absolute incredible — kind, attentive, and genuinely supportive. “Not far from Saint Ann’s Catholic Church on Wisconsin Avenue, I had my wedding reception here many years ago! We had both fireplaces going in the beautiful ballroom that accommodated a long rectangular table for the wedding party and eight round tables for guests. There was plenty of room for the buffet table, a band, and dancing on the parquet floor. You have to bring in your own caterer – we hired Ridgewells who did an AMAZING job and really impressed the new in-laws! ;) Plenty of parking on the street. It’s a great place to start some of the best memories of your life!”

“Lyon Village Community House a cute and picturesque property that can be rented out for a variety of occasions including wedding receptions, bridal or baby showers, graduation parties or reunions.

The Community House also is the location of many local classes including dance classes.

“As Arlington residents, Yorktown Aquatics Center is a great place for my kid to learn how to swim. Courses are well structured, instructors are competent and kind to the kids and the hours are convenient. I also enjoy lap swimming myself and the pool is very nice. My only complaints are related to the locker rooms, which are usually gross and would benefit from a renovation.”

I would have given 5 stars had more thought been put into the needs of the elderly club members. Requirement: a novel platform to carry elderly/handicapped customers up and down stairs. Elevator is outdated tech. Elderly avoid using traditional elevator Becuz of the stigma associated with “lack of mobility”. An open elevator platform allowing safe stable access to all floors wud be a thoughtful touch (a novel method that would allow seamless transfers between floors) and allow the disabled customer to forget he/she was disabled. The members that hosted me was a cute elderly couple. They showed visible challenges walking short distances. Somewhat dismayed as they were excited to show me the club, but saddened when they couldn’t accompany me up or down the stairs. The adorable couple resorted to pointing me up the flight stairs to tour the upper level of the club and patio while they stood waiting for my return at the foot of the stairs. It’s not how I was raised, the elders/disabled are the center of the family ethos. We carry them where ever they need to go w/o hesitation. These are respectable patriotic club members and deserve the best. What is the current demographic of the clubs membership? How many elderly and/or disabled club members?

Looking forward to visiting again and praying for leadership. (Lead from the front, major boost to the clubs image for a nominal investment).”

“Our family had such a wonderful experience with Imagination Stage Bethesda. Both of our children (4 and 6) absolutely loved their classes and looked forward to them every single week.

The teachers were incredibly warm, patient, encouraging, and professional. They created such a positive and welcoming environment where children could feel comfortable, confident, creative, and excited to participate. It was amazing to watch how much joy and enthusiasm the classes inspired.

​The Experience & Difficulty

I’ve done several escape rooms before, and while I’ve seen some reviews complaining about the difficulty, I think it’s very subjective. We were a group of two—and while our daily work involves a lot of analytical thinking, which definitely helped—the key is really just being attentive to detail. It’s a fair challenge! We did ask for three tips during the game, and the response from the staff was lightning-fast.

​Location Tips

A heads-up for finding the place: it isn’t on the main Georgetown avenue with all the restaurants, but it's very close by. Keep an eye out for the small Insomnia Escape Room signs and stay alert as you're arriving. It’s a nice spot because once you're finished, you're within easy walking distance of plenty of dinner options.

​The Staff

The highlight of our visit, though, was our game hostess, Martina. She was truly the best—so nice, engaging, and high-energy. Her customer service is top-tier and she made the whole experience feel personal and exciting. If you go, definitely ask for her!”
