“I love it there so much food that’s Central America like they sell stuff the some grocery stores don’t sell and it’s fresh I wish there where stores like this in Boston but there isn’t”
“I go to this store for 16 years and they have improved so much. They have a huge variety of Brazilian products like food, hair products, lotions, perfumes, shoes etc. If you want to eat a coxinha or pao de queijo they have right there! Ah they also have fresh squeeze juice ? and Açaí!!!!!! The best store in the DMV area”
“I enjoyed the small town feel. I have taken up shopping here instead of Walmart. The prices aren't bad and I don't have to deal with all of the Walmart receipt thugs at the door when I exit.”
“Everything you need. There wasn't any organic produce, but the selection is sufficient for most needs. Most common cuts of beef are available but they are very thin cuts. No grass fed options available.”
“Easily asscesible, friendly, clean, well stocked with household products, various wines, foods and non food items. They even offer assorted dark chocolates! One of the last convenient grocery stores to stay in the community!”

241 Massachusetts Ave NE, Washington“I don't know why, but this place reminded me of your sitcom, corner store, supermarket. It was so welcoming when I came in here and had the shelves stocked with items. Honestly, this was one of the best supermarkets I have been in for a while. One down side here is that it is located in a rather cramped space. The aisles are narrow and if you a claustrophobic, this might not be the spot for you. Even though it is a smaller space, they do have a wide variety of items to choose from. It was a nice experience and it was great to see that this is used by so many people. I only stopped in here one night to grab a few things and there were enough people in here to make it known it is a great asset in the area. I grabbed my items, made it to the front, had a small wait in line, but it was worth it. The employee that was working was super pleasant and definitely made it a better experience.”
“You got all what you want from Ethiopia! That is what amazes me! Just say it,and name it, be sure you will get it! It you don't, she will tell you she will get it next time... then she has it for you! Even books from Ethiopia are smiling at the shelves calling to be taken away! Thank you for having it all in one store!”
“Great place to shop for groceries. Competitive prices. The produce is hit or miss at times. The only thing I dread is the check out. There is no line system. Every one just likes up randomly. If there’s a clear indication of where there’s a line, then order/efficiency can take place.”
10AM - 7PM
623 Sligo Ave, Silver Spring“I have been here plenty, and I love there Customer Service, which many African owned businesses lack. I’ve encountered different workers here, all were friendly. And they play Good Music. May God establish this place in Jesus name”
8:30AM - 8:30PM
901 17th St NE, Washington“Prices are excellent and consistent which is important in today's economy. Produce is some of the best around and the staff at most locations are friendly courteous and professional and this is great and why I shop there! Blessings”
“This grocery store definitely ethnic and I like it a lot especially because I actually live in Mexico for half of the year. I've shopped here a dozen times, and they carry many items that you simply won't be able to find at a traditional grocery store. However it is somewhat more expensive for the average products like orange juice and milk. The larger grocery chains have better prices overall because they can buy their products wholesale for much less than a small grocery store such as this one. The shopping experience and the interior of the store itself is nearly identical as to what you would find in Mexico or Latin America. They have a decent meat and seafood section, and they also have the most basic produce items. The times that I have come here we're to purchase only a few items. Today I purchased a bag of oranges, and a half gallon of milk.”
8AM - 10PM
201 Ethan Allen Ave, Takoma Park“I've been shopping at TPSS for over 20 years. I appreciate that simplicity and feel of a local market. There's a variety of fruits and veggies and natural medicine.”
“This is by far the best supermarket that I know in Washington and pretty much elsewhere. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, the selection is better and more various than in all the competition, even better than in much bigger markets, the prices are lower that elsewhere, and I just can get everything I can think of. Thank you for your service.”
“This yes organic is my go-to store. Friendly and kind staff are always there to help. Great selection of wines, and beers. And of course any organic product of your licking.”
9AM - 10PM
100 Kennedy St NW, Washington“Love Mama n papa son. They switched over from the liquor store across the street and it's been a very nice change. You don't have to go to two separate stores anymore, it is more convenient all the way around. One stop shop for a bottle, ciggs or snacks.”
“I like this supermarket.Except sometimes items do not have a price on it.This can be confusing for anyone person. The ladies at the cash register are always very helpful and kind.”
10AM - 8:30PM
2441 Market St NE, Washington“Always find what I need. I know how to handle the flow. I always discover something else I want… always leave with a smile!?Such a great mushroom selection too!”
“I 'very been going there since 2004,same store staff mostly the same, good guys, but this is a neighborhood landmark in the sense that, you are likely to run into a neighbor, friend, Peron you haven't seen in a while... OK so most neighborhood stores, who can only stay in comparison with the Big Stores, when the people in the neighborhood can't get to the store or don't feel like all the people on the grocery stores, but now of our stores are fair on some thins and outrages with others... Should out to the staff at Northeast market. A. K. A. "24 hour store" Tell them Redd's sent you... Everyone knows as that there!!! Shout out to Trinidad/Ivy City...”
8:30AM - 8:30PM
9440 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring“Cheap products that are comparable quality to higher end grocery stores. Only issue is that the secret is out and supply can't keep up with demand sometimes. Go on the days when they've just restocked, usually in the middle of the week, to avoid disappointment on missing out on some items.”
“Nice lil spot with variety of optionsThey have a lot of central American related foodThey also sell tamales / Real bread quesadillas that are 10/10. They also have charamuscas and other "antojitos". I've seen a butcher in the back as well, not sure what meat they offer but it's pretty dope for a lil store.”
9AM - 7:30PM

The cashier ladies are very friendly.(Original)La tienda es pequeña pero encuentras de todo! Sus productos son muy Buenos, especialmente la verdura y frutas. Las señoras de la caja son muy amables.”
“This was one of the best last minute places I have been. They definitely have everything you could think of wanting or needing down to the live crabs in the back.. Awesome ?”

2404 University Blvd W, Silver Spring“Bruno, has the best customer service in the region. Always ready to meet our requests and go the extra mile to ensure your customer is satisfied. Congratulations on the excellent work. Delicious snacks and lots of variety ready to go. I highly recommend it.”
“It's a nice place. Personal is very friendly, great variety of products, good prices, and the best: pet friendly. If you are walking your dog and you need to buy a couple things, is the only grocery store that I know, pet friendly.”
“I am thankful for ALDI's no-frills approach to delivering quality groceries at a reasonable price. This location has a great atmosphere. The cashiers are always busy, but work hard to keep the line moving. We are saving a lot on groceries by shopping ALDI first before getting the remainder of the list at Walmart.”
8AM - 9PM
6339 New Hampshire Ave, Takoma Park“Best place to shop African foods. They have the best products and literarily everything and all their meats are already chopped and if you want freshly chopped and cheaper meats, they'll cut it for you”
“This jam packed market is one of the cleanest and most well stocked Latin markets that I've seen in this area. Nice looking fruit & veg, good meat selection, and a very hygienic looking (and smelling) fresh seafood counter in the back. Friendly and helpful service too. And as a bonus, it also sells a range of novelty R-rated glazed drinkware, if that's your thing. ? Go check it out!”
