“As a new parent and moving into a new place, I cannot express enough not only my gratitude, but the beyond phenomenal experience I had with Rockville Suburban Propane! With both Esteban (Technician) & Brody (Manager).
First off their technician, Esteban, is the GOLD STANDARD for technicians everywhere. We moved into a new place where there was a pre-existing older propane tank connected to the house. As mentioned above we are new parents and had many questions regarding the operation of the tank and measures to ensure the safety of the family. During the inspection of the tank (to determine serviceability) Esteban went over EVERYTHING I needed to know about the tank:
1) How to tell how full the tank is
2) What things to look out for
3) How to turn on and shut off the tank
4) When to call if I have concerns
Second, Esteban inspected an older electronic propane fireplace which had a broken remote and worried me to no end. He took the time to test it, show me how to manually operate it, and how to turn on and cut off the propane. Knowing how to operate it and ensure it wasn’t running without an active pilot light gave me an indescribable peace of mind, especially with the family and little ones in the place.
Last but certainly not least, Brody, the spectacular manager at the Rockville Suburban Propane branch. I called to let them know how overwhelmingly pleased I was with my service and was forwarded to Brodie. Let me tell you this, I have spoken with managers before to convey my satisfaction for a service, most reiterate a very emotionless and seemingly robotic thank you for sharing and will hang up. NONE of them compared to Brodie, for how big a company like Suburban Propane is, Brodie was sincere and down to earth.
He treated the call as if he was running a family business and I had personally walked into the branch to thank him. He gave me his time without rushing to end the call as soon as possible, he waited and listened carefully to what I had to say, gave me meaningful responses on several of my talking points, and shared his great personal appreciation of how meticulous and hard working the technician was and how proud he is of him on a daily basis. Afterwards he thanked me for the call and welcomed me to the Suburban Propane family.

“Made appointment 10am (wait only was all available, no drop off) so I go and they said they are running behind and it will be 3 plus hours. So I get a ride. No word by 1pm, can't call directly, finally central phone connects me. Not ready yet. Finally ready around 3. I am working so have to go after 4. Technician gone, the ball hitch purchased not in car, the right one not available, took almost an hour to pick up with a computer glitch, them trying to figure out which ball hitch to give met (did not end up having my size). So it was not very smooth. Staff were extremely nice and polite though. They really wanted to help but the process was not smooth. The hitch seems quality.”
“This Uhaul was the most efficiently run Uhaul I've been to. The line inside moved quickly, they found the online reservation I made an hour before and checked me in, and someone was right there to throw the trailer on. All told, this took 15 min. Then, when I brought it back, I backed in the trailer and someone was there to unhook and close out my order, maybe 10 min. Done.”
