I recently had a wonderful experience at the Secu Bank Branch. The staff members were extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked through the door. They were knowledgeable and went above and beyond to answer all my questions and assist me with my banking needs.The branch itself was clean, well-organized, and had a modern and inviting atmosphere. The waiting area was comfortable, and there was plenty of seating available.The customer service I received was exceptional. The staff took the time to understand my financial goals and provided valuable advice and recommendations tailored to my needs. They were patient, attentive, and made me feel valued as a customer.In addition, the bank offers a wide range of services and products that cater to various financial needs. Whether it's opening a new account, applying for a loan, or seeking investment advice, the Secu Bank Branch has it all.Overall, my experience at the Secu Bank Branch was outstanding. Overall experience was great with the actual people, but when trying to pay off my loans electronically, there was a problem both times. I sent what I thought was my last payment electronically, but it was $4.38 short a few days later because of interest. The loan I just recently paid off got rejected electronically, because I overpaid. I contacted secu and they gave me the payoff amount. I sent in the check immediately, and it got cashed before they returned the money back to my account, causing my overdraft protection to be used. This should have never happened. They should have honored the payment, then sent me the difference in the mail or added it to my secu savings. Moral of the story is, call in for your last payment to avoid these situations. It's a sad world we live in this day and age that you have to do everything yourself to make sure other people, businesses, and companies do their jobs.

Could not get ahold of this pathetic excuse for a bank sat on hold the multiple times I tried calling. Never had an issue like this with my other bank. Terrible customer service, very disappointed and will be closing my account. Wouldn't have even left one star if I didn't have to

I have had some really positive experiences with SECU and also some really negative experiences. Unfortunately negative experiences when banking are unacceptable if they are ultimately not corrected. I have had an extensive history with SECU and most of the people at this office do a great job; however, if you have an error be prepared to do all of the leg work and maybe not get a resolution.After posting a two star review on Google my account was mysteriously corrected. I believe it was the customer service admin or agent that responded to my first review. I have updated SECU to a 4 star because ultimately the situation was corrected, they have good products with good rates, and I mostly enjoy my experience at the branch.

I have been a member of this credit union for close to 20 years. Every time I need money for a project and try to get a loan from them , I'm turned down. I make a good liv and all of my bills are paid on time. I am closing my account as soon as I can transfer my account to another bank! Thanks for 20 years of nothing!

Worst banking ever can't access my money using my debit card on phone for over 3 hours to keep being transferred in circles stating nothing was wrong with card on thier end yet I couldn't use because it was blocked by bank. They deserve a 0 stars but that wasn't an option.

We took out a $40,000 loan at 3.5% interest, believing that was a fixed interest rate. They never stated otherwise. In fact, they hardly explained the loan process at all. Today, we found out that we needed to *request* that the rate be fixed , and that our current rate is now 5%. We specifically took out a loan then because of the low interest rates, and the Fed had warned of rising rates to come—of course we wanted it fixed at 3.5%!!!!They refused to retroactively fix our rates, so now, we are in the hook for paying more money than we knowingly agreed to. What terrible, predatory service. I would not recommend SECU to anyone.

I held an auto loan from SECU with my ex, so when I got a new car, I applied for financing through SECU again. They made it incredibly easy. Applied online, emailed copies of documents, walked in the next day to pick up my check. I worked with Holly in the Salisbury branch and she was great! She asked tons of questions to make sure I was set up perfectly in a way that made sense for my needs. Overall a seamless, pleasant experience!

Paperwork that was submitted two years ago was missing. Why? Couldn't do anything necessary for us to be there. What a wasted trip. Need a loan because my husband has been out of work since December. Hard hearted female dog.

This place is AWFUL. Zero fraud protection. They have no problem constantly charging overdraft fees when your account has been hacked or charged without your consent, but make you wait up to 90 days to receive that money back once the charge is disputed. Not to mention, you can't even get in contact with someone by calling without waiting hours on hold. I can not wait to get through and cancel my account. I've been with them for eight years and I've had it.

I love banking at SECU. However, I didn't know the hours of operation so I Google them, only to find conflicting information. When you first look at the information that comes up it reads Drive thru opens at 8am, but after really searching and reading older posts I see they open at 8:30 am. This needs to be updated. I sat in the line 30 minutes waiting for them to open. If this was updated I could have planned my arrival better. Please update this.

Reference Jan 4, 2021 Update SECU. I made my appointment and spoke to a SECU representative in the Salisbury Md. Office (Michelle), whom was very patient and helpful towards the issue at hand. Her Approach and Professionalism was beyond the call to duty. Thank YOU! AS WELL as another reach out from the previous post. Thank You also. I admit I was rather frustrated for this storm to just cover me as well as the worry of my funds, but YOU (SECU) handled it. Thank YOU very much. Note: the complications of this pandemic requires client patients this is the new norm.

Before the pandemic, I was in a real jam as I was unaware my time of home equity to borrow from had expired and I had made out a check from it for a large amount to pay bills. When I discover checks were bouncing I went immediately to SECU and a loan officer assisted me immediately and assisted me with an immediate individual loan and arranged for renewal of my home equity service. She was most understanding and efficient in helping me with a critical problem! Thank you SECU!
